CCE-MS properties were Arenacross, Supercross, Monster Trucks, Freestyle Motocross, Dirt Track, Road Racing and IHRA Drag Racing. • Primary responsibilities were sponsorship for all properties, my focus was ArenaCross. Sales in 2003 exceeded $1.2 million. • Was also responsible for developing and implementing business strategies to acquire new customers and retain existing accounts. Set individual and company-wide sales objectives and formulated plans to expand business. • Identified opportunities for strategic alliances and partnerships that furthered business goals.

3/1990-3/1996 Advertising Director/Sales Manager – IJSBA - Costa Mesa, CA • Began as International Jet Ski Boating Association (IJSBA) National Promoters Director. • The IJSBA is the sanctioning body for all personal watercraft racing in the world. Coordinated 165 Regional and National Jet Ski events along with the finals, the Skat-Trak World Finals held in Lake Havasu City, AZ every October. • By 1993, the sport and the sanctioning body reached such a level that we brought our news publication in-house – Jet Sports (9 times a year).

• A colleague and I took over direction, editorial content and advertising sales for the publication. My focus was put on advertising lineage. Other objectives were to develop and implement business sales, strategies to acquire new customers and retain existing accounts. Also, helped forecast direction of editorial content and direction of the sport.

11/1984-10/1989 National Sales Manager - Wright Publishing - Costa Mesa, CA • Oversaw all advertising direction, trade shows and industry/ networking events for 3Wheeling Magazine. • Having knowledge of the sport, I also assisted in editorial direction. • While crossing editorial and advertising boundaries are considered taboo in the publishing industry, our team blended the talents of four editors and one national sales manager to produce ATV’s number 1 newsstand publication. • With the market place experiencing the wrath of 60 Minutes and Barbara Walters in 1986, 3Wheeling Magazine was forced into a title change. ATV Sports was created to help usher in the four-wheelers. • Advertising lineage averaged 56 to 72 pages per month, but the decline from negative press and government agencies forced the closing of ATV Sports in October 1989.

5/1982-10/1984 National Sales Manager - Cycle News - Long Beach, CA • Supervised new publication direction, both as editor of ATV News and Production Manager of Cycle News. • Not only was ATV News a new publication (in the begin ning inserted into Cycle News), but ATVs were the beginning of a whole new industry, as well. • While new model tests, product evaluations and calendars of events were all important to filling pages with “must read” content, racing and ATV related happenings is what drove the paper. Having all access to Team Honda in all their travels, from Mickey Thompson’s Off-Road shows in Pomona, to the Baja 1000 in Mexico, racing was the driving force. • By 1982 ATV News had the advertising lineage to break itself out of the shadows of Cycle News along with being produced monthly.
