MANAGER’S CORNER

Dear TGO Residents,

Autumn officially begins this weekend, on Sunday, September 22nd. The best part about Autumn’s arrival to Florida is the promise of some cool, dry weather coming soon, and football season too! It’s been a super-wet September so far, and our lawn crews have been forced to slow down due to rain and muddy turf, to avoid damage and black-tracking. I am managing our mowing progress and cut-sheets daily, and our irrigation is currently turned off until things dry up around here.

Turf-destroying Chinch Bugs and some grey leaf spot fungus have found their way into The Great Outdoors this year, and are impacting several lawns. TruGreen has told us that Chinch Bugs are gaining resistance to certain treatments, so they are trying some other products where needed. They have conducted two trouble-call treatments for chinch bugs and fungus within the last month. Our last trouble call list had 40 properties treated, this is the most that I can remember. TruGreen’s next comprehensive treatment of all lawns will take place on October 1-2.

Our low-season projects are coming to a close. Our CSA Administration building and Oak Cove Bathhouse exteriors received a fresh coat of paint after some exterior wood rot repairs earlier this summer. These buildings are looking bright and new. Our CSA utilities crew completed the replacement of three of the oldest fire hydrants in our community, located on Sunset Drive. Our goal will always be to keep our 35-year-old community in tip-top shape. One of our more frustrating recurring maintenance issues is the Lake Judy Fountain. Last week we sent it back to the manufacturer for some more warranty repairs. The fountain is experiencing some electrical issues that are causing a malfunction.

I’m pleased to report that nine of our CSA staff members completed their CPR/AED/First Aid training last week. We are now an even safer place to work and live because of these nine leaders who are ready to assist if needed. You’ll find a photo of our new life savers on page 8.

Need your flu shot this year? CSA is coordinating a Flu/Vaccine Shot Clinic with Jad’s Family Pharmacy in the Pavilion on Tues, Sept 24th from 1pm – 4pm. Jads Pharmacy is a regular advertiser in The Happenings and is offering this service free of cost to TGO Residents. A “Happenings” health fair event will follow on October 30th. Please contact Margarete in the CSA office for more details.

Have you tried the new meatball sub at Blue Heron? I ordered it recently and it was delicious! Steven Powers and our Blue Heron team just published a new bar menu and children’s menu this month. Steve reports that our back-of-house team is 100% ready for business to pick up at Blue Heron. He’s focusing his effort now on getting our front of house staff ready for the busy season.

Our golf course renovation continues to move forward. We are into the “Grassing” stage of our course renovation but are dealing with some rain-delays at the sod farms, so we are patiently waiting for sod deliveries. It won’t be long before we’ll start sending out information about the opening plans for our beautifully renovated golf course. I can’t wait to get it opened again!

Sincerely,

What is Sulfation?

Sulfation, the accumulation of hard lead sulfate crystals, is the main reason for capacity and efficiency loss in lead-acid batteries. Sulfate crystals can develop rapidly, preventing your batteries from accepting a full charge.

Over time, sulfation crystals rob battery capacity. As a result, the battery needs more charge more often with a shorter runtime. As sulfation increases, so does your need to replace your batteries. Desulfate to reduce costs.

We Now Have the Capability to Reverse the Sulfation Process!

• Increase Your Battery Life-Span

• Return Lost Capacity to Your Used Batteries

• Keep Your Battery Pack(s) in Sulfate-Free Condition

• Save Money on Purchasing New Batteries

• We provide you a detailed health report for each battery Call today to schedule an appointment...

Here is how it works...

Schedule a time to bring your cart in. We will hook it up to our Desulfator Machine. We will need your cart for 48 hours.

Cost for a desulfination process including a complete diagnostic report - $250

PICTURES OF PROGRESS

Making TGO Safer For All!

Congratulations to these CSA staffers who recently completed their CPR/AED/First Aid training l-r: Nicole Farrell, Billy Specht, Sharon Sanford, Mike O’Neal, Mark Hammers, Monica AliGordon, Jonathan Lyerly, Carolyn Banke. Missing: Scott Lancaster

Being certified in CPR/AED/First Aid is crucial because it equips individuals with life-saving skills that can make a critical difference in emergencies.

Immediate response to cardiac arrest with CPR and the use of an AED can significantly increase the chances of survival. Certification empowers people to act confidently and effectively in those vital moments before professional help arrives, making our community safer for everyone.

Coart Refresh!

The lines have been “drawn”!

There is a set of portable cornhole boards currently outside the Fitness Center. If you would like to use them on the courts, please remember to return them where you found them when you are done! They are just for use on the CSA courts. Please do not take them home. The numbers on the courts have been changed. Shuffleboard courts are now numbered 1 through 4 and Cornholes are 5 through 8. Reserving a court can be done through the Manor Office. Or if they are not in use, enjoy! Now! Let the games begin!

Florida and TGO share the same vehicle and traffic laws as the rest of the US: Everyone must yield to emergency vehicles. If there’s no shoulder on the road, simply stop to allow an emergency vehicle to pass. We have all been driving long enough to know this. Please, when you see emergency vehicles coming in with lights flashing, pull over and let them pass! It could be your loved ones they are here for.

AED Basics (Automated External Defibrillator) Have Someone Call 9-1-1 While You Operate AED

The Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a portable electronic device that diagnoses incorrect heart rhythm patterns that could potentially be life threatening. The device treats the condition with electrical shocks.

AED use requires minimal training because an electronic voice prompts the user through each step. If you are helping a person who collapsed and you’re unsure if a heart attack is the reason, don’t hesitate to use the AED. Every minute counts.

The device determines if the patient needs an electrical shock or not. Simply place the AED pads on the patient’s bare skin, one on the right upper chest and the other on their lower left side. No one else should be touching the patient because false readings could result. The AED will advise you, the device operator, what to do next.

TGO has eight AEDs located at CSA buildings.

COMMUNITY INFORMATION & NOTICES

CSA Trash Pick Up Rules

The CSA crew picks up household trash 364 days of the year (off for Christmas). You’ll see them in a big truck pulling one or more green hoppers behind it. The guy crouching on the hopper grabs your trash bag as they pass by. To make the process efficient, please follow these rules:

• Trash must be placed in plastic bags that are tied closed. Lightweight bags should be tied together. Trash that is not in plastic bags may not be picked up.

• Break down all boxes and put all packing material in a closed bag.

• Place trash within one foot of the road so that it’s within easy reach.

• Dispose of your pet’s waste inside the closed trash bag.

• Put trash out at the curb by 10:00 am - Pick-up time varies within the park.

• Do not mix household trash with organic yard debris or construction materials.

• Do not put trash out at night because by morning it will have been scattered by wild animals.

Please do not allow pets to urinate on trash or debris.

The crew has to pick this up!

• Also be aware that if you place your trash out on the street too early, the vultures think you have prepared them a sack lunch!

CSA Yard Debris Pick-Up Rules

The CSA crew picks up organic yard debris at least once per week. Tree trimmings should be cut down to a maximum of 4 feet long, weigh less than 50 pounds, and be stacked uniformly at the curb. Loose material such as pine needles, leaves and small twigs must be collected in untied plastic bags or open containers. The CSA will not pick up sod, dirt, tree stumps, construction material (e.g., concrete, wood, drywall, metal), chemicals (e.g., paint, oil), major appliances, or tires. DO NOT bring these items to the CSA Maintenance Yard yourself. They may be dropped off, without charge, at the Brevard County Mockingbird Mulching Facility (321-264-5009) on South Street (SR405). Go past the Lowes SR405 entrance then turn LEFT at the first traffic signal. Most other waste items such as carpet, porcelain plumbing fixtures, etc., that are not mentioned above can be dropped off at the Brevard County Transfer Station (321-264-5048) that is also on South Street (SR405), but 0.5 mile past Lowes on the same side of the street.

Clearing Vegetation on CSA Property

Our Declaration of Covenants states that “No CSA land may be cleared of any vegetation without prior written permission from the Board of Directors or its designee. Unauthorized clearing of CSA property will result in a hearing, with possible fines and ordered replanting.” This only makes sense, as you would not cut vegetation on someone else’s property without permission first. In order to track this better, we will require anyone seeking permission to cut vegetation on CSA property to fill out an ARC permit. An approved permit must include the CSA manager’s signature, and a copy of the permit will be filed in your ARC file for documentation purposes.

Guide to Living With Alligators in TGO

There are 32 lakes in The Great Outdoors and all of them are home to alligators. Please keep these points in mind to be safe when alligators could be nearby:

• It is illegal to feed, taunt or harass an alligator.

• Do not swim or wade in any of our lakes.

• Do not walk near the shorelines and do not walk your pets near the shoreline.

• Do not allow your pets to swim, exercise or drink in or near our lakes.

• While alligators can be active at any time, they are most active between dusk and dawn and move during the night to different water sources.

• Please give our alligators the respect and space they deserve.

NOTE: If you come across an aggressive alligator, please contact the CSA Office prior to SNAP and allow us to handle any situation.

The Nature Center Needs YOU!

It’s Been One Wonderful TGO Ride

But Goodbye Now

In 1991, when my delightful, adventurous husband and I arrived at TGO for our 2-day freebie from Judy and her new staff, he immediately had to buy a lot. There was only one house, the tiny model on Twin Lakes. We built the seventh house here, but never furnished it except for tables and chairs, because all we did was have parties! This was the friendliest, happiest place we’d ever seen, and we loved it!

Contributor: Joan Engkvist

Soon our little house at 536 Twin Lakes was too small for everyone so Bob asked what we were going to do. At that time, people were building houses but few were finished. The next day, I spread the word that all our friends were to meet in front of our place at 5 PM, in their golf carts, drinks and munchies ready. They were to spread the word that we were off on a new adventure!

So there they were - all excited and the street was absolutely filled! We said, “Follow Us!” and took off on the golf cart path! (In those days, there weren’t many rules!). A few hours later, we had ridden the entire 18 holes, stopping every now and then to visit, try each others’ munchies, sing, or pick up new people.

When we returned to Twin Lakes, everyone was wild with excitement and anxious to go again the next afternoon. And so we did - for many months! “Traveling Cocktails” had become a real thing! The munchies became exotic, music was added, the group grew and everyone in the park was invited. Life was good! No. Life was fantastic!

Celebration Club

One day I told Bob I didn’t want to get into the habit of having to buy/get cheap, stupid gifts for birthdays and anniversaries every week like we had done in Miami. He challenged me to come up with another option. Oh dear! So then we began having a monthly Celebration Club to honor the members but without cards or gifts, just have a pot luck dinner and sing “Happy Celebration!”

We put stars on the name tags of those having birthdays and hearts on those having anniversaries. Each month members took turns hosting and one

hostess asked those who had stars on their tags to stand. She recognized each one. Then she said, “And will those of you with a heart on stand up.” It took about a split second for the room to explode, and she had no idea why! Needless to say, she never lived that one down!

The Celebration Club is still going 32 years later. We both worked hard when the church was built here. It was one of the most inspiring, touching and beautiful experiences of our lives. I served on several boards for many years and chaired the dedication reception for 1,000 people. It was one grand day when the church was opened! Every Sunday when I walk up to the front doors, I think about that day over 25 years ago and how very hard so many people worked to make that all a reality. It was just remarkable and a great honor to be a part of it all.

Sailing, sailing...

Cruising

Bob loved anything that floated and cruising was his passion. After retirement, he became a travel

agent as a cruise specialist. You couldn’t name a ship that he didn’t know all about its history, crew, and routes. We took hundreds of people from here at TGO on cruise groups. Many, many of them went with us several times, and even today, they often tell me how those were the best trips they ever took, whether here in the US, transatlantic, Europe, Alaska or wherever we just decided to go. We always had a grand time.

I never went on a cruise with him (and I stopped counting at 100) without sitting at the Captain’s table at least once. Bob spoke the language fluently of EVERY country we ever visited (I stopped counting those after 100 also), so when we boarded a ship, the crews were very excited to find anyone who spoke their language. With his love of ships and the sea, I knew he would be on the bridge within hours of boarding! Many of the Captains became personal friends over the years, and we visited each other in our homes. I still keep in touch with some of them.

But TGO was home!

One day, we were driving up Twin Lakes and Bob said to me, and I still remember this entire conversation like it was today - “You know Joanie, that street over there is getting ready to open up called Fairways. We can have our choice of lots, and you like that new big model. I’ll build you that house and you can have anything you want in it. We’ll sell the Port St Lucie house and move up here!” Oh, he was SO excited! But Port St Lucie was my dream house!

I was absolutely appalled! I said, very emphatically, “I’M NOT MOVING IN TO SOME BLUE-HAIRED COMMUNITY IN THE MIDDLE OF A SWAMP!”

His face was priceless! We didn’t talk to each other like that! He meekly replied, “OK then.” It wasn’t mentioned again.

But God is in charge. Sometimes I have a tendency to forget that He outranks me.

Our beloved cat died soon after and we both hated going to Port St Lucie where Pace had lived. We sold immediately. Bob built me that big house on FW and we just loved living there until he began his horrific descent into 15 years of Alzheimer’s. Prior to that, we entertained wildly, we volunteered, we RV’d, we boated, we cruised and traveled, we truly lived a wonderful life together, and most especially we loved being with people!

Always though, we loved our beautiful TGO and our fantastic friends here. Bob couldn’t even imagine living anywhere else on earth, nor could I. He loved going to the OC pool every day and putting his dog, Buddy, in the bike basket or golf cart, and away they would go without a care in the world. Beautiful, safe, friendly, caring, lovely TGO.

Change Always Happens

Over the years, TGO has changed since we first moved here. In the beginning, there was much more resident participation than now, many more volunteers than I see now. But that’s life. We had many fantastic community activities. One thing we had was a beautiful Christmas Parade of Homes for several years. We had two very active chapters of the International Beta Sigma Phi sorority, which did incredible work for the community.

For many years there was an exciting Fun Fair, which had some different activities each year, and was very well attended. We even had an Art Festival with some extremely gifted artists from all over Florida. There were several themed dances at the Manor which people loved and so were well attended. New Year’s Eve there was a formal event and

stunning! Classes of all types were held and taught by retired professionals, like Donnette Hilton. People like Lorraine Murphy, who works tirelessly to keep our history alive. Without her, would YOU know about our past? And on it goes...

TGO has been THE MOST WONDERFUL PLACE to live! The activities, the church, and YOU! We could never have found a better place! You took us in, made us feel welcome and useful, gave us space, helped us when we were in pain and now must let me go. I am finally moving away. I don’t want to leave! I have such mixed feelings! But...

It’s Time

Bob has now been gone for 10 years, I’m 82 and it’s time for me to leave this sweet place I’ve loved more than any I’ve ever lived in my entire life. After 33 years, my mind is filled with memories, my heart is overflowing with friendships and it is also breaking to think I must now leave for Charlotte NC. Perhaps bittersweet is a better word - I’m grateful to have a lovely place to go and be near family, I’m wanted and I’m healthy, I’ll live on my own, I drive and go to church and shop and do whatever I want. And I’m taking my little dog, Tommy, of course!

But, I want, most of all, to those of you who have been even a small part of my life here, and especially those I’ve known much better - to say thank you. You’ve made my life so joyful, so interesting, so crazy, so exciting, so playful, so wild, so marvelous, so much fun - I could go on and on and on. You know what you mean to me. I wish I could give each of you a hug and a word of goodbye but then I’d not leave here until Christmas 2030!

I wish each of you the very best of health, peace, happiness and goodness.

May God richly bless each of you.

Lovingly~

Oh, you have my number, but give me a chance to get settled please. I leave here Oct 11 so it will take me a couple of weeks. Then you can come visit me! We can get in trouble yet again..... no sense starting to behave at this late date!

TGO FIREWISE INFORMATION

FIRES IN BUILDINGS UNDER RECONSTRUCTION

If you are like me, you always have a list going and growing for repairs to the home and the RV. Or, perhaps you’ve hired a contractor to help reduce your work load and your list(s) and increase your living space constructing or re-modeling.

You may want to have an Executive Suite added to your Pad, but there is yet another list that you can’t forget if you are planning a home renovation or reconstruction project, consider the following FIREWISE TIPS:

1. DISCARD OILY WORK RAGS PROPERLY: Oil and solvent-soaked rags can Spontaneously Combust. The warmer the weather, the quicker the rags can reach ignition temperature. A better short-term storage option could be a dedicated metal container with a metal lid and the garbage dump.

2. Solvents, like mineral spirits and acetone, should be kept in screw-top cans (as they are sold). Store them safely, away from heat sources, like the water heater or the car. Their fumes are just waiting for a source of ignition.

3. Keep the worksite clear of packing materials. This includes cardboard, packing paper and wood shavings. Dispose of these materials at the end of the work day.

4. Never use fire as a trash disposal method. No open flames in TGO!

Remember, you must have

5. Keep flammable paint off-site if possible.

6. Avoid using portable heaters and dryers.

7. Have a “NO Smoking “ policy on the worksite.

8. Have a fire extinguisher and a charged garden hose handy.

9. If you have a gas cylinder on the work site, follow Gas Cylinder Safety Protocols.

10. Implement “Hot Work Guidelines” if you are cutting , welding or soldering.

11. Cover wooden floors before doing any Hot Work. You may have additional suggestions for the Firewise Tip List. Your Contractor may have other good tips too. Share a copy of this list with him and his crew. If you are “the Contractor and crew” too, make sure you review this good Fire Prevention Lore every day on YOUR RECONSTRUCTION JOB.

FROM THE EDITOR

APPRECIATION

Isn’t it amazing being alive?

I know it’s trite, and an ancient chestnut, but I think we all should appreciate every day that we’re alive and everything that our days bring us. Sure, some days are better than others and our lives have seasons of ease and struggle. All the same, we’re here for all of it.

Part of this is the understanding that change is a constant. Circumstances, resources, people, relationships, jobs, family, health, etc—it all can (and probably will) change at any time. And when change comes it’s rare to be able to effect going back (if ever), it’s always forward into whatever the “new” is.

Luxury living awaits in Hidden Lakes! This 3-bed, 3-bath custom home features a gourmet kitchen and a 50 amp RV garage with a whole-house generator hookup. Enjoy resortstyle amenities like a pool, tennis courts, a fitness center, and more! Golf enthusiasts will love the newly renovated 18-hole course. Come experience the Hidden Lakes lifestyle!

THE SEASON IS ALMOST HERE!

As the summer sun fades and the humidity lets up just a tad, a great migration begins. Not of the feathered kind, but something uniquely TGO: the return of our seasonal residents.

Like clockwork, RVs begin to roll in, golf carts buzz through the streets, and suddenly, after months of peaceful quiet, The Great Outdoors comes back to life. Much like their avian counterparts, these human snow birds leave the sweltering Florida heat for cooler climes in June, only to flock back at the first rumor of tolerable weather in late September. With their return comes a flurry of activity, as if someone hit the ‘on’ switch for the community’s social calendar.

Summertime Lull

During the quieter months, The Great Outdoors can feel a bit like a sleepy sanctuary—almost like a well-kept secret. Golf carts sit idle, the pool has more space than water aerobics participants, and the Pavilion and Plantation Manor? Well, let’s just say it’s a little quiet there. But as soon as that first RV appears on the horizon, it’s like the entire community senses the change in the air. Suddenly, the sound of friendly greetings, the rustling of shuffleboard equipment, and the unmistakable ‘pop’ of tennis balls being lobbed back and forth fill the air.

Sticking it Out

Of course, there are those who stay year-round— the ‘summer warriors,’ if you will—holding down the fort through the sweltering heat, the late-summer sudden downpours, and occasional tropical storm. These brave souls have the run of the place all summer, enjoying the quiet and having their pick of poolside loungers. They’re the ones who know where to find the best shade at any given hour and have perfected the art of indoor activities (air conditioning is their best friend). But even they’ll

admit there’s a certain magic to seeing the resort come alive again, as familiar faces return and the buzz of community life resumes. After all, while the tranquility of summer has its perks, there’s nothing like a fully booked activity calendar to keep things interesting.

Is it Golf Yet?

And speaking of activities, this year promises to be particularly exciting. After an extensive renovation that’s had golf enthusiasts counting the days, The Great Outdoors’ much loved golf course is set to reopen…soon (closer and closer!)—fresh, pristine, and ready for play (hopefully). The regular updates from Chuck and progress photos here in The Happenings have been whetting everyone’s appetite and sparking visions of new greens, improved fairways, and a course that’s more beautiful than ever. For now, everyone is practicing their swings at the driving range and eagerly awaiting the grand reopening, when friendly competitions and afternoon rounds will once again be part of daily life.

Get There Early!

Of course, it’s not just the golf course that has had some loving over the quiet months. The Blue Heron has a new General Manager, lovely new flooring, an enthusistic crew, and an exciting new menu. It’s the friendly community gathering place at the center of TGO and you can be sure it’s going to be hard to find a table once all the residents are back!

By late October, the migration is complete, and life at The Great Outdoors is back in full swing—literally. From dawn to dusk, there’s always something happening. Water aerobics at the pool, corn hole tournaments, evening happy hours, and, of course, the long-awaited return to the links. With the resort buzzing, the only question left is: Who’s ready for the first round of golf on that shiny new course?

Apple Tips

SPEAK TO TYPE (Including Emoji’s!) ON APPLE DEVICES

One of my major annoyances in the past was wanting to quickly communicate by text without actually making a phone call. But having to type words, or sentences on a teensy keyboard on my iPhone (which was practically embedded into my wrist) was to say the least, frustrating.

However, early in SIRI’s abilities was the amazing feat of being able to dictate my texts or emails directly in to apps that would otherwise have to be typed into… (Messages, Notes, Mail, etc.). Game changer for sure! But there was still the issue of having to correct a

iPHONE & iPAD - Dictating Text:

1. Open any app where you can type (Messages, Notes, Mail, etc.).

2. Tap the keyboard’s microphone icon (lowerright corner on iPhone or left corner on iPad).

3. Start speaking, and it will convert your speech into text. I recommend also include punctuation by saying things like “comma,” “period,” or “question mark.” Although in recent updates, often the phrasing of your sentence will fill in punctuation it THINKS is correct-ALWAYS PROOF READ!) For example “I’m on my way period” ➞ I’m on my way.

4. When you’re done speaking, tap the keyboard icon to stop dictation.

Dictating Emojis:

1. After activating dictation, say the emoji’s name as it appears. Some common ones:

• “Smiley face emoji”➞

• “Thumbs up emoji”➞

• “Heart emoji” ➞ ♥

• “Crying face emoji” ➞

2. Dictation will add the emojis in text form, just as if you’d typed them out.

bumbled or misspelled word or phrase with my bad eyesight and fumbling finger hitting every wrong key. Especially annoying was finding the right emoji then tapping every OTHER one by accident.

About 2 years ago (iOS 16 in 2022) SIRI gained enhanced dictation capabilities to include recognition of spoken emojis and my texts, emails, notes and many other functions have become infinitely easier. I’m not nearly as cranky when I am communicating since I’ve learned the secrets of dictating to my Apple products. Here’s a quick guide:

Pro Tip: If the emoji you want doesn’t work, you might have to manually select it from the emoji keyboard, because Apple is still expanding its emoji dictation recognition.

MAC - Dictating Text:

1. Open any app where you want to dictate text.

2. Press Control twice to start dictation (or go to Apple Menu ➞ System Settings ➞ Keyboard ➞ Dictation and toggle it on).

3. Start speaking. Similar to iPhone/iPad, you can use punctuation commands.

4. Press Control twice again or click Done to stop.

Dictating Emojis:

1. Just like on iPhone, you can say things like “Smiley face emoji,” “Thumbs up emoji,” etc.

2. If the emoji doesn’t appear, hit Command + Control + Space to manually pick one from the emoji menu.

There’s a wild sunflower field that makes the best backdrop for pictures

Near where Tropical Wonderland once stood is now a sunflower field that blooms every year. In May, locals can be found posing for pictures among the beautiful, yellow landscape. The flowers were planted by Bob Kirk of Kirk Realty, who owns the property, and wanted it to be a community garden of sorts. He said he enjoyed seeing people take pictures in the field, and even planted corn on the property for kids to come and pick for free. He said a group of children would collect sunflowers each year and bring them to local hospitals and nursing homes.

Unfortunately, Kirk Realty isn’t replanting this year as the property is being permitted for a new development. If you need a sunflower fix, Sledd’s U-Pick farm in Mims hosts a sunflower maze at least twice a year in May and in the fall. It’s currently open for the season.

Africa is the only continent in all four hemispheres. For people whose education was largely focused on the Western world, it may be surprising to find out exactly how huge the continent of Africa is. For instance, it spans all four hemispheres and covers nearly 12 million square miles.

The world’s largest butterfly, Queen Alexandra’s birdwing, has a wingspan of around 10 inches, which you can find in the forests of the Oro Province, in the east of Papua New Guinea.

Your ARC application remains open until those Brightly colored Completion Forms are signed and returned to CSA. Don’t forget to turn in that form once your project is finished to avoid your application from being noncompliant.

Fences or walls are not permitted within TGO. We live in an area with lots of wildlife who like to visit everyone in the park. Fences or walls are considered any structure of rails, stakes, strung wire, etc. We want to preserve the freedom of the wildlife.

That if you purchase a property and that property has improvements made to it that do not have any ARC applications on file for, you take on the responsibility for that violation. A simple solution – file an ARC Application to correct it even if it was done by a prior owner.
