Welcome from the folks at Diamond T! Our sale is called “Stockman’s Choice” because our bulls are created by stockmen and for stockmen. We have produced cattle for 47 years and purebreds since 1978. We have consulted with hundreds of stockmen across Canada and the U.S. – the world, even – to learn your goals and wishes and how they become your needs in a breeding bull. We have honed our vision and program to accommodate what we hear from stockmen like you so that, as we approach 40 years as seedstock producers, we believe our annual production is, truly, the “Stockman’s Choice” – your preference as well as ours.

We continue to focus on fundamentals: structure, including a big foot with a deep heel; lots of middle and capacity to maximize cow and feeder productivity; extra muscle for superior conversion of intake into saleable beef; stronger maternal traits so that our heifers and daughters of our bulls are always cows ‘in the making’; and as much hair as we can get. We try to add a little style on every calf and our key objective is EFFICIENCY. Efficiency commands increased attention to ensure optimal economic margin on everyone’s annual calf crops.

We scour the country to source the best bulls we can find to produce what you are looking for and are thrilled with how our strategic acquisitions are working out.
Our 2016-born bulls ‘walk our talk’: low maintenance, efficient cattle with ‘matched and stacked’ genetics to optimize feed conversion. They are managed to grow and mature for you rather than fatten for us. Our bulls will always be pushed less than many you see because we believe you elevate profitability when you use a sire for multiple years. We are very proud to hear from many of our buyers that our bulls endure for 5+ years.

His calves are arriving now and our future is brightened by what we see in these cool babies. We are honoured to have our great friends, Brett, Traci and Paige of Wildman Livestock in our sale again. We are pleased to offer sons from popular bulls like Brooking Bank Note 4040, Wiwa Creek Rush Lake 71’12 and Remitall F Rage 9A. Our Rush Lake offspring continue to impress and we appreciate both the maternal and masculine strengths of Rage: we are calving his first daughters now with the most impressive udders we’ve ever seen. We love our explosively-muscled Bank Note progeny. We are excited to show you our first calves from South Shadow 6Y Tomboy 130B, an outcross bull we purchased from the great Delorme family of Robsart, SK. Sons of our ‘grand old man’, Brookmore Upward 70Z, remain representative of our program.

With margins tight for the cow calf operator the simple fact if a bull lasts longer and sires more calves just may not cut it anymore, they may need to sire replacement heifers, vigorous low birth calves, heavier WW steers, carcass cattle that fit a branded beef program, higher yielding carcasses, perhaps replacement heifers and bulls for the purebred sector. The bulls in this offering have had a semen evaluation by Barr North Vet and developed on summer pasture until November 1st and then fed a textured grain ration and free choice alfalfa grass mixed hay , they are athletic and ready to go to work.
