Super long-term extender for boar fresh boar semen which allows increasing preservation time up to 6 days without influencing neither the size of the litter, nor the farrowing rate It permits as well to reduce a number of spermatozoa in each dose, meaning 1 billion sperm cells if combined with intra-uterine technique
Directions for use:
It is recommended to dissolve the powder into the corresponding volume of the ultra pure water. Bi-distiled sterile pyrogen-free water has to be previously warmed in a water-bath at temperatures between 32°- 34°C.The quantity of water should be precise in order to avoid osmolarity pressure shocks to the cells. The extender has to be prepared at least ½ hour before use, and it is advisable to use it in the following 24 hours.
Precautions for use:
Do not use in case of damaged product or packaging, do not use if the product changed colour or if its homogeneity is alterated, do not use beyond the expiry date

Instructions for use & manipulation: If the use of already prepared extender is prolonged beyond 6 hours, it is advised to keep it at refrigerator temperatures between +2°C/+8°C, but not longer than 24 hours. TRI XCELL extender in powder as well as in the form of solution CANNOT be frozen. It is recommended to do a pre-dilution at a 1 : 1 ratio (interval between collection and pre-dilution has to be inferior to 15 minutes) with extender at +32°C/+34°C. Make a final dilution in order to obtain between 2,5 and 3 billions alive spermatozoids per dose of 85 – 100 ml, depending on original quality of boar semen, and its storing conditions. In absence of counting or photometer measurements, a minimal dilution that has to be respected:1 volume of semen for 4 volumes of extender, with a maximum of 12 doses of 85 – 100 ml. It is recommended to store the doses between +15°C/+17°C, not exposed to light and preIMPORTANT: warmed before AI (in the water-bath at +35°C during 10 minutes or 40 min. in IMV Semen saver.
