April 7 – May 8 Interested in learning what it takes to become a lifeguard? The Guard-Start program is a 4 week long class that will offer conditioning and basic training to passing a lifeguard certification class! This includes swimming, treading, entries, and an introduction to CPR and first aid. This is not a certification course.
Requirements: Ages 12-17 years old; must be able to swim two lengths of the pool without stopping. To register e-mail Daniel.Rajaniemi@spaceforce.mil and students will be accepted on a first send first reserved basis. Space is limited. Following the Guard-Start class we will be offering CPR and Lifeguarding certification classes in late spring/early summer.
