Brand Guidelines
SEPTEMBER 2021
6Connex is an end-to-end tech-empowered virtual environment solution for engagement and connectivity. We help people build connections and create lasting memories through virtual environments where our clients can host events and share content with attendees, colleagues, prospects, etc. 6Connex originated from a desire to help customers do something different and innovative to ‘wow’ their customers. Our competitors call virtual events ‘the new normal’ but this was always ‘normal’ to us. We’ve been doing this for years.

ABOUT 6CONNEX
6Connex Voice & Writing Style
Approachable We relate to our readers with humor, friendliness, and empathy. This is especially important in a tech-dominated space.
Clear Our solution is complex, but we don’t expect our audience to be tech experts. We lead with value propositions and write content that’s straightforward and easy to understand.
Authentic The events and venues we support are fun, exciting, and rewarding. We level with our audience and clearly explain the ‘why’ behind everything we do to become a trustworthy partner that drives mutual success.
6
With any communication, it is our goal to build authentic connections in a virtual setting by bringing content and audiences together.
Do: Write content that’s easy to read and has a clear value for our audience. Keep it light. Our solution is complex, but the events and venues we support are fun, exciting, and rewarding.
Be approachable and down-to-earth—talk to people, not at them. Write as a guide, someone who’s been there and done that. Leverage our many years of experience. Speak as the reference point.
Focus on the perpetual virtual space, rather than just an event.
Don’t: ‘Fluff up’ content with big vocab words or unnecessary details. Hide our solution’s value behind over-complicated tech jargon. Speak in first person
Logo
LOGO
6Connex Company Logo
At the center of the 6Connex visual identity is the 6Connex logo. It is therefore important to use it in accordance with the rules. The preferred 6Connex logo for print and digital applications is the positive logo. Make every reasonable effort to use this logo. A negative logo can only be used when it cannot be avoided. You can find the 6Connex logo and all accepted variations here.
Positive logo POSITIVE
The 6C is always shown in teal and the “onnex” is always shown in azure. The 6C in the square is transparent and takes on the color of the background (seen here on white).
Negative logo NEGATIVE
MONOCHROME
8
The 6Connex logo should be presented as all white when used in the negative context. The 6C in the square is transparent and takes on the color of the background (seen here on navy).
Monochrome When only one color is available the logotype may be reproduced in teal or 100% black.

Whitespace
Logo Icon
The minimal clear space around the logo must always be half the width of the 6C logo icon. This is roughly 0.25” / 7 mm / 60 px at standard size.
The 6C surrounded by the teal rounded square is considered the 6Connex logo icon. This can be used to represent the brand when limited on space. The icon must adhere to the same whitespace rules as the full logo.
Minimum Logo Size
The icon can be displayed in three ways:
The 6Connex logo may not be shown any smaller than 0.25” / 11 mm / 60 px wide, including the obligatory surrounding clear space.
As the original rounded square As a circle Full width of the surrounding boundaries (most often seen in social profiles)
Important remarks •
The 6Connex logotype should, whenever economically possible, be reproduced in the corporate colors, teal and azure.
•
The logotype should always be reproduced from original master artwork and should never be redrawn, typeset or altered in any way. Also, logo imitations in standard typefaces and colors should be avoided.

Visual Identity
VISUAL IDENTITY
Corporate Colors
A complete color system with corporate colors has been defined for the 6Connex brand. As color is an essential part of our visual identity, it is crucial that the approved color palette and color usage guidelines are strictly followed. The 6Connex corporate colors are teal and azure. They should appear as prominent colors in all 6Connex communication, regardless of media. When using gradients, teal-azure should be the primary combination used to represent the 6Connex brand.

Graphic Elements
VISUAL IDENTITY
The hexagon shape is a graphic element that is used to support the 6Connex brand. Its shape is representative of the 6Connex name origin, the Frigyes Karinthy theory that all people on average are six, or less, social connections away from each other. This shape is featured in any marketing materials, including social media, video, and e-books. Any of the approved corporate or secondary colors and gradients can be used. The hexagon shape can be used in several ways:
As a background for any virtual environment images or features To frame images To frame a section of copy (as seen in these brand guideilnes)
Important remarks
18
•
The corners of the hexagon should always be rounded
•
The shape can be rotated to any angle that supports the related usage
•
When using multiple hexagon elements, the rotation of each should vary.

VISUAL IDENTITY
A full icon library is available to use in any internal or customer-facing documents. You can find the library here. The icons for the 6Connex Attendee-Centric Modules are shown below. These are not to be changed in any way when representing the modules.
CIRCLE Circle should always be the standard 6Connex gradient (teal-azure), unless approved by Marketing.
WHITE White icons will always need to have a background. Any corporate or secondar y colors and gradients are acceptable.
FILLED Filled icons do not need a background. These should always be a high-contrast color (teal, azure, navy or dark teal).
