简介 《简明要理问答》（插画版）自2001年出版至今，陆续再版多次，广受 各界好评及使用。它乃按照约翰·安格斯(Joseph P. Engels)于19世纪出版之 《儿童要理问答》(Catechism for children)进行翻译及改编。安格斯出版《儿 童要理问答》的初衷乃是为《威斯敏斯特小要理问答》(Westminster Shorter Catechism)提供背景及为儿童提供更为简洁易懂的版本。而多年以来，《儿童 要理问答》在欧美一直广泛的被使用于教导儿童信仰的要义。 有鉴于教导儿童信仰要义的重要性及配合时代的需要，《简明要理问答》 的重新编辑及更新是刻不容缓的事。《简明要理问答》（插画版）的修订版有 几项特色，首先是增加参考经文，并且在修订文字时继续沿用意译的翻译原 则。但是为了使儿童更容易明白，在文字使用上就更为简单易懂。为了帮助教 导者掌握要义大纲，我们也为要理问答进行大纲编辑，这将帮助教导者易于规 划教导纲要。并且也将英文版加插在其中，方便进行对照参考。 祈愿《简明要理问答》（插画版）修订版成为教会的祝福，藉着它教导儿 童自小明白真理，跟随主道。
