During the school holiday, pupils may report to school in PE attire to read in the Library during the following time slots: AM – 9.00 – 12.00 noon or 2.00 – 4.00 pm 8. Donation of used school textbooks for Fairprice Share A- Textbook This evergreen project organized by Fairprice has three main objectives: help needy students, protect the environment and encourage thrift. Launched in 1983, the FairPrice Used Textbooks Project has since helped more than 150,000 needy students, through the collection of over 2.1 million textbooks. Pupils who wish to donate their textbooks may bring them to school from 14 Nov – 19 Nov. We hope to issue these books to our needy pupils. Extras will be given to NTUC for distribution to other needy students. Parents intending to use the recycled books are kindly requested to collect the used school textbooks between 14 Nov – 16 Nov. Thereafter, the used books will be collected by NTUC Fairprice personnel. 9. The Travel Plan notification will be issued to get your feedback on your travel plans over the school holiday. Please do read the notification and submit to your child’s teacher by the given deadline. Your inputs will help us prepare for any health crisis situations that may arise. If your child does not feel well on the 1st day of school especially if you had travelled out of Singapore, it will be best to see a doctor to certify him/her fit for school. 10. He/She will need to bring only the stationery box and the Pupil Diary on the 1st day. The time table will be issued on 2 Jan. Teachers will conduct ice breaker activities and engage pupils in discussion sessions to enhance personal ownership and responsibility. Every pupil should have a name tag on his school uniform as well as PE attire. 12. School bag of pupils If you intend to purchase a new school bag for your child, we would like to emphasize that it is important to consider the weight of the school bag. Please do not buy a trolley bag. We have observed that pupils find it difficult to carry trolley bags up the staircases. It would be advisable to encourage your child to carry a bag which is not tool big or heavy as he or she would then learn over time and with support from your end to carry only the essentials to school. Thank you and we look forward to your continued support in providing the best for our pupils. Merry Christmas Greetings and best wishes for a Happy New Year. Yours faithfully _________________ Mrs Dhillon A. Singh Principal
