PIONEERS IN SHADING SYSTEMS. ALWAYS The Sun is the primary source of energy on Earth, it contributes to the generation of oxygen and the development of plants. It is at the basis of the food chain, as it favours photosynthesis, influences winds and tides, originates almost all other energy sources available and contributes to people’s health. Every day we are confronted with this incommensurable force, with the great challenges and possibilities it offers, in order to protect people in every building and contribute to their well-being, exalting the benefits of natural light. Managing solar radiation requires excellence at every stage and maximising this renewable, inexhaustible and clean power means to behave in a sustainable way, including in our facilities, and to develop solutions aimed at reducing the environmental impact of the buildings where our products are installed. Pellini, Sustainable Excellence

PEOPLE, INNOVATION’S SOURCE AND MAKERS 21 years after founding his company, in 1995 Francesco Pellini decided to abandon 55% of the company’s turnover by discontinuing its range of mosquito nets, awnings and folding doors, driven by the vision of revolutionising the concept of Venetian blinds and by the courage of introducing an innovative solution that could overcome the limitations of periodical maintenance and cleaning. That 55% was regained in just one year and today Pellini is a globally renowned company, thanks to its employees, who share the desire to go beyond existing limits and turn intuitions into solutions that improve the quality of people’s life.

FINGLAS, THE HOUSE OF GLASS Finglas is the cutting-edge glassworks specialising in architectural glass processing and the development of innovative and exclusive solutions in combination with ScreenLine® integrated blind systems. It is based in Trento, with a further production unit in Badia Polesine, Northern Italy. Finglas merges the skills of staff with decade-long experience in the glass industry, an essential element of everyday life, which Finglas translates into multiple solutions, all conceived with the aim of achieving excellence: double, triple or quadruple insulating glass units, offset, screen-printed glass, for curtain wall applications or integrating technical blinds or metal grids, to suit all architectural needs.

PELLINI 45

UNIQUE AND CRYSTALCLEAR RESULTS In order to manufacture innovative glazed products, Finglas has constantly invested in exclusive machinery, which makes it a production benchmark for the major players in the façade and window sectors as well as for other partner glassworks. The equipment employed allows the production with only one worker of insulating glass units featuring flexible spacer bars or volumes as large as 3x5 metres and as thick as 80 mm, using a 3-metre high press station.

46

The perfect synthesis of aesthetics and function

GUARANTEED QUALITY OF THE GLASS & SHADING ENSEMBLE Insulating glass and shading systems are complementary elements: the possibility of testing new shading solutions in their natural habitat or assessing the impact that innovations in glass will have on solar protection is a key factor in the research & development process, contributing to clients’ peace of mind.
