WOMEN’S VOICES A Series of Performances, Dialogue and Workshops Celebrating Inspiring Women in the Arts and Society “All of these songs are me, but in a different way, with a different sound. The messages are the same things I’ve been saying down through the years. They’re about the world today—poverty, jobs, welfare; all of that—and making it feel better through these songs.”

MAVIS STAPLES FEBRUARY 15 TICKETS: $40/$37.50/$35

“When I sing I am exposing all my feelings... for me, this music is a way of living. It is the sound of tears, laughter, love and longing. When you find your way, when you find a music that could really show your emotion–you don’t have to look for more.”

MARIZA MARCH 9 & 10 TICKETS: $55/$50/$48/$45

“All of us are survivors much like the characters we play. Theater is about dealing with our humanity or inhumanity. What’s spiritual about acting is that it gives you the evolving aspect of life.”

OLYMPIA DUKAKIS APRIL 27 TICKETS: $52/$48.50/$45

“You know, some things don’t matter that much...Like the color of a house. How big is that in the overall scheme of life? But lifting a person’s heart - now, that matters.”

SECRET LIFE OF BEES by Sue Monk Kidd FEBRUARY 28 - TICKETS: $25

“Do not consider me now as an elegant female intending to plague you, but as a rational creature speaking the truth from her heart. There is a stubbornness about me that never can bear to be frightened at the will of others. My courage always rises at every attempt to intimidate me.”

PRIDE AND PREJUDICE by Jane Austen OCTOBER 19 TICKETS: $35/$30/$25

“This week, don’t just have a good laugh... have a great one! Life is not a stress rehearsal”

LORETTA LAROCHE MAY 18 - TICKETS: $35

“I remember my mother saying ‘You do not talk to him about anything important the first day he’s in or the day before he leaves. You have three days to deal with real life, but the other days he’s transitioning.’ I think that one of the really positive things about it is that when they come in, you don’t fuss about foolishness, you know. The time is precious.” – Charlotte Enoksen
