Clive Halford thinks big! The British career criminal stole a truck and loaded it with 18 pallets of stolen nickel and copper worth around £150,000. Yes, the haul was huge—too huge. The cops arrested Halford after his truck’s suspension collapsed under all the weight. Earlier, Halford had stolen a car, overloaded it, and broken it’s suspension too. Silly guy!!

That fish smell A girl comes home and says to her boyfriend: "I have just had a tattoo of a sea shell on the inside of my leg at the top." Her boyfriend gets his head between her legs and puts his ear to the tattoo and listens to the sea. "That's brilliant," he said "you can also smell the fish market!"
Money to blow Larry gets home late one night and his wife, Linda, says, "Where in the hell have you been?" "I got a hundred dollar bill on my privates," he said proudly. "What the hell were you thinking?" she said, shaking her head in disdain. "Why on earth would an accountant get a hundred Dollar bill tattooed on his privates?" "Well, one, I like to watch my money grow. Two, once in a while I like to play with my money. Three, I like how money feels in my hand. And, lastly, instead of you going out shopping, you can stay right here at home and blow a hundred bucks anytime you want."
ITS YOGURT TIME! Three robbers break into a bank, but when they open the safe, they find only boxes. One robber opens a box and finds cups full of yogurt. "We didn't find any money, but we got something to eat," he tells his partners. They eat their fill and leave. The next morning's newspaper headline reads, "World's Largest Sperm Bank Robbed."

HIPMAN & K KOKE BEHIND THE SCENES AT HIPPY’S MUSIC VIDEO SHOOT W
e have been down with our mate Hipman Junky for some years now, he is a creative soul just like ourselves and when he told us about the project for his new single ‘Hold on’ we jumped on board to bring the Paperchasers Ink tattoo vibe to the video shoot. ,
Hipman is a independent music artist who always stands out with his style & brings that UK realness to every track and has a playful way with words, which on this track is complimented with an appearance from rapper K-Koke whose flow and bars drop nice, it’s good to have him back after a little hiatus.

We round up some of our tattoo loving readers to join us for the party scene, you can spot them by looking out for the Paperchasers Ink tees & vests and their tattoos on show. The vibes were right!! It was good to see some appearances of some faces who you might also recognise such as Tiny Iron and Jazzie who both featured in the UK comedy film Anuvahood.
From the start to the end we had loads of fun on this project and we know that your going to love the video Download ‘Hold On’ now on itunes

W
.e know that you must know who she is if you have instagram or if you read tattoo magazines, she has been getting her name out there & now it’s our time to get her on the cover of our magazine!! We had loads of fun shooting and chilling with Lauren at the new Paperchasers Ink office/studio. We chat with her about how she got started on the tattoo road and modelling, what tattoos mean to her and more.
T
.here are so many cool things to talk to you about lol, Let's start with your tattoos, at what point did you decide to go in and get inked up like you have? I always knew I was going to be fully covered, as I was always fascinated with tattoos from very young. When I got my first tattoo I was already planning the next! lol
What was it about tattoos that fascinated you? I just liked the way they looked and it was really

fascinating how people expressed themselves through art. When choosing your tattoos how did you go about picking what to get and do they all have meaning? It's a bit of both really, obviously I have some tattoos for my family, I've got my mothers name across the top of my knee and my sons portrait on me and his name a few times over my body. My back piece I chose because it is obviously something I'm into. But with my arms it was a look I was going for, I wanted the sleeves. Which I kind of regret now but I had that done when I was young. I didn't really know much about tattoos and I didn't really see many tattooed people because I'm from a very small town. I didn’t really know anything about tattoo conventions, all I knew was what I had seen in the magazines really. I've been covering them up now, I have a blackout sleeve with scarification, which means nothing to me I just love the way it looks.
because they are out and on show all the time and I didn’t NE ZI A really think about it. There not too G A M 0 2 RLY bad but I just didn't go to a very “I’VE HAD NEAJUST SEEMS MENTAL, IT good tattoo artist at the time. Now I That's regret that because I have absolutely no interest in interesting so Japan, I've never been there, I’ve never studied it, you have regrets I've never read about it, I've got nothing to do with it, about your like no interest so I have no idea why I picked it. I sleeve? What is just saw some flash and thought yeah I’m going to it you would get that, which is stupid looking back now do different now? That's hilarious!… I've never read about it, I've Yeah I mean never been there, I've not studied it and I have my sleeves I no interest in it. It's interesting that you say that do kind of as I was going to ask you about the Japanese regret only stuff as I did notice you have some and

wondered Yeah the other sleeve was just a load of flowers, It was done really badly I didn’t like the colours of it either. I really like the geometric stuff at the minute and the blackout work, so I might even blackout my other arm and get scarification and some more white tattoos as well so it just looks more symmetrical Nice.. Thinking back you said you use to look through the magazines. Who was it you saw in the magazines, was there anyone in particular that inspired you? It wasn't anyone in particular really it was just all the tattooed women, I was all over them, I thought they was amazing, also the music I listen to, metal and rock, tattoos are a big part of that. How did it initially happen from being someone at home flicking through magazines to actually becoming a tattoo model yourself? Well I first started getting into modelling just after I had my son, my friend was a photographer at college and she wanted to shoot something. I uploaded the images and then I just started getting asked to do shoots all the
‘’I THINK TATTOOS NOW AS W ELL - I JUSARE SO COMMON T WA LITTLE BIT DIFFERENNTED TO BE A T!!!’’ time and then it just snowballed. I was literally only modelling for about 4 months and I got a message asking if I wanted to shoot with a magazine and I thought it was a joke, but yeah I did the shoot and I got told I was going to be on the cover and I was literally jumping around, I was shocked. It’s just snowballed since and I’ve had nearly 20 magazine covers and it just seems mental, but I do love it. I don’t think I would have done it if I didn’t have my son to be honest with you Scarification! You knew it was coming and that we wanted to know more about it and it’s meaning? Where does one even go to get it done? Well there is actually a lot of tattoo studios that

Your Blackout tattoo, we love it!, does it mean anything or did you get it just because you like the style? For me personally it means nothing, I love the way it looks and it was just about covering up the shitty tattoos. I also wanted to get scarification done and it looks better on black skin so I coloured my arm black basically lol. Simple as that! And we always end our interviews by asking, what do you think about Paperchasers Ink? Yeah I think it’s really cool and refreshing what your doing and obviously your getting involved and actually going to festivals which is super cool and different. I’m not strictly a metal fan, I do listen to all music and I do like everything, I’m a bit of everything really lol, but I think what you're doing is super cool and I hope it goes well for you guys. Y
o Steady, it was super cool having you down to hang out with us for the day down at the magazine HQ It was dope hanging out for the day, I enjoyed it Y
So we know that you will never stop dancing, its a deep passion for you. What have you & the team been up to recently Good question, I have just finished doing ‘The Guardians’ which is a new flawless show that we made in January to bring to Hong Kong for Hong Kong’s New Year. So we made a story that was themed around that culture, which had martial arts type stuff in it. The response for that once online was crazy over here, so we had to
do it in the UK. We danced at the ‘Breaking hip hop Convention’ which is the biggest UK hip hop dance fest, we headlined which was great to be back after so many years. We have the flawless school also which has been booming, so we have been really busy with that. Solo I have been running a lot of workshops which tend to be half workshops, half lectures as I’m all about spreading the message, a lot of people just get the dance, they don’t understand the dance, it’s the theory that people need in the UK right now! Which is why I have been setting up a summer school.
PAPERCHASERS INK 39
- I N K FEATURE
It all sounds amazing & well done on the summer school, Hong Kong must of been crazy as well. Hong Kong was my third visit and I love it every time. It’s in my top 3 favourite countries that I’ve ever been to, I really felt at home there. This trip all I done every single day was dance, they have 24 hour studios and I was learning contemporary over there for 14 days just dance, dance, dance. It’s a beautiful place! We see that you have been dancing with Kylie as well as Chipmunk, tell us more Ok, so Kylie Minogue was doing something for the Queens’ Jubilee but it’s my thing not to do dance for artists, it’s my thing to do collaborations or nothing. Because I wanted to promote not doing backing dancing. So you can backing dance if that’s what you want to do but I want to push the artistry of this culture. So you’re an artist just as much as the person singing or writing the song. So we do collaborations which is what we did with her and we did a colab with her sister Danni also for a TV programme. There's just been so many artists we have worked with, too many to name!, I would have to give you the list We love it that you say your all about the culture and that’s what the UK needs, tell us a bit more about that I think the most important thing that I try to do is show people how to grow as a dancer and to be truthful and honest. Honesty is the most important thing, honesty is what stops people from giving themselves. Be fearless, don’t care what people think and that’s when you get brave. Being brave makes you honest and that is beautiful and when you can really push yourself We’ve spoke loads about your dancing, let’s talk tattoos, how did it start? It started when I thought to myself every time I get interviewed I get asked when I started dancing and all I ever say is in my Mothers womb, as I can’t remember myself at a time not dancing. So I wanted to get a tattoo of me dancing inside my mothers womb which I had on my left shoulder but the guy that did it was wack. But just it being there and what it symbolises makes up for the lack of artistry. Then I went to Austria on tour and this biker looking dude with tattoos all over his face, in a

So I said lets do it and me thinking about art and what you can do to move mountains, governments, make people change, the only man I could think of at the time was Bob Marley. I obviously grew up on him as my mother is Jamaican and a serious fan, so I got Bob Marley We are loving the stories they are so interesting, do you regret any of your tattoos? I don’t have any I regret… but the worst art wise would have to be the one of me in my mothers womb dancing all the meaning behind it means so much, I still love it. There is no ink on me that doesn’t have a meaning to me every single ink drop has a meaning. Favourite tattoo Wow this is difficult they all have so much meaning, but my favourite would be my chest piece as it's such a big piece, but my favourite as in most meaningful would be the name of my brother on my arm as he passed away. Can you explain your chest piece for us As everything came into place, I had already seen these things were going to happen. When I started dancing there was no career in dance, there was no blueprint there was nothing to follow. So when it’s like that people always say why you doing this, but I always knew I was going to walk the path I wanted to take there was no other path for me. So you will see that in my chest piece which is a timeline of things that happened for me- there is no stopping, this turns into music because music is the essence of what I do and then most important is the Agape which is to do with Greek mythology. Agape is the strongest one for me because it’s not just love for your family it’s love even if something doesn’t love you back, you still love it and finally success is not a destination which is really important to me
because in my career in nearly 20 years, that is the success but people would say to me but you have been on TV and I would say but what’s next, then they’d say you’ve flown here and I would say, yes but what’s next. That’s just it there is no destination! there is no stop! the success is you doing what ever your doing. Wise words. Steady, you are an awesome guy with a truly motivating and inspiring way of thinking. So what do you think of Paperchasers Ink? I think it's amazing, I love and respect what you guys are doing as it's the first of it's kind and I think I should be an ambassador. You already are!! And its a blessing to have you down with the movement!!

GETTING INKED
WE TATTOO UK GARAGE LEGEND
MC BUSHKIN PAPERCHASERS INK -
HIS CREW WAS A MAIN PART OF THE UK GARAGE MOVEMENT BACK IN THE DAY BUT TIME HAS NOT STOPPED BUSHKIN FROM MAKING MUSIC AND BEING A ENTREPRENEUR. IT WAS A BLESSING TO HAVE THE MAN DOWN AT OUR NEW SHOP, GET INKED AND CHAT WITH US ABOUT SOME HISTORY AND WHAT'S COMING FOR UP FOR MAN LIKE BUSH Bush! you came down to hang with us at our new tattoo studio and you didn’t just chill out, you got inked! Yeah mate, haha exactly and I’m loving it! Your not a tattoo man but you did have one which I’m sure until recently most people didn’t even know you had, tell us about the tattoo Yeah it wasn’t really a show thing for us, the tattoo was meant to be a symbol of blood brothers me, Fonti and Mighty Moe. Not many people know about blood brothers but that to me was the closest thing. Moe actually designed it and then we came up with the writing in side which said “heartless crew closer to God brothers for life and never give

up”. Back in them days no one really got tattoos which is why we had it done on our backs, no one really knew it was more of a personal thing to all of us, so we know we are there for each other even when we are not together regardless. We love it, How long had you known each other before you decided to get the original tatt? That’s a really good question, I think around 9-10 years me and Fonti known each other and Mighty 7-8 years You lot was in deep, it wasn’t an off the cuff thing then, like after a year
GETTING INKED.. Nah, we ain’t really like that as people. Even to get it done it took some persuasion. Fonti and me went to secondary school together and I met Moe not long after. Trying to think what year we got it done, I think it was late 90’s.
I saw the work that Atom had done I was still thinking, really? am I sure I want to do this? I’m always looking at people getting tattoos everywhere, but yeah when Atom drew it on my back I knew I was going like it. The pain killed though, but it was definitely well worth it.
Wow, did you guys get them done at the same time, in the same room and that? Yeah, in the same room, we went one after the other. We all got the same except I got my heart coloured in, they didn’t want to do it, they chickened out of that part, haha
You’ve been inked about a month, how do you feel now? The first part healed well and when I went to Zante everyone loved it. Then it’s created a real buzz on social media and there loving it, so yeah I feel good and I’m really pleased with it.
I’ve always been a bit different so the guys weren’t surprised when I wanted it red
How was ‘Zante Shutdown’ event? Yeah it was really good. The vibes was crazy! me and Masterstepz messed up our night with spray paint. This pink paint that just got sprayed over everyone. the pool parties! the rep your country party the girls there in Jamaica and Union Jack flag bikini’s wooi. Big up Krept n Konan, I missed there
How did you feel about coming down to our shop, to get it re-done, when you first arrived? I was sceptical to be honest, I always said I would only get one tattoo which is the one I had. Although
PAPERCHASERS INK 47
set but I heard they smashed it and so did Beanie man I wish I could have cancelled my flight and stayed longer but I had to get back for a festival Before you had your tattoo done I asked you if you would get any more, you said definitely not, how about now? I would say no, not definitely not. As I would rather never say never. This one I got is big enough and lovely enough, haha I’m not sure anything else could top it. Have the rest of the boys thought about getting there Heartless Crew tattoo redone? I don’t think so to be honest with you haha like I said it was a big deal for all of us getting it done, I’m sure they would be just happy to leave it You never know Bush, I guess now you’ve got the tattoo re-done another question people want to ask are Heartless Crew back together? You know what before I would of said I don’t think so…. but on this occasion I will say maybe you know, there is definitely a chance of it happening. We have been talking a lot about things at the moment and we are headlining ‘Garage Nation’ festival happening next month which is gonna be big. The garage scene is really taking back off so you never know you, it could be possible WOW. You gave us the exclusive!! It’s summer time and the work rate is crazy Bush, your everywhere!, all over Europe, Dubai and Africa! Tell us everything, what you got popping off right now? The main thing to look out for is my first single coming out on July 5th called “The Realist” and I also got a tune coming out with Daniel James. There is some interest in Africa for that track so I’m going to be going there for the end of June to perform. I’m going to be in Dubai for after Eid celebrations as they have a massive Eid party and it goes off with a crazy party. Just look out for loads of different features from me at the moment floating around, look out for the label Bush Bash recordings, look out for Sienz clothing and Bossy cigars. Which we are just launching an e-liquid Bossy Vapour. So yes there is a lot going on, but just look out for me musically it’s kind of a cross between a Motown, Cash Money, 50 cent, Vybez Cartel and yeah it’s about to get crazy Another huge event happening this month is the Red Bull Culture Clash and of course you are on the UKG team up against Wiz Khalifa & Taylor Gang, Eskimo Dance and Mixpak, you must be mad excited It’s a huge event and I can not wait, the biggest event this year yet. 20,000 people in the audience and being

streamed by 3 million viewers it’s crazy mate. Win, loose or draw, I can’t wait and Wiz Khalifa I’m actually a huge fan of his and although I got to go up against him, I can’t wait to meet him. Ok, couple fun questions for you, Last meal you cooked? Phantom chef, is what I do on Snapchat lol little videos of me heating up food. I am not really a cook at all. I heated up a pizza! Lol, give us a slice. First time you been star struck? I’ve met a lot of people and strangely enough I met Lily Allen at something we done together last year for Red Bull and I saw her and I’m not sure why but I just froze up lol It happens to the best of us. How many pairs of Reeboks you own? Good question, haha hundreds, I would have to count them but I have over a hundred that's for
sure. I did apply to the Guinness World Records for the person with the most Reeboks but they said it wasn’t unique enough. They don't know what they are talking about, lol. What do you think about Paperchasers Ink magazine and what we are up to? I think it’s great, I rate you guys with what you are doing, everything is about timing and you guys are doing what you’re doing with the magazine at the right time. Urban music, tattoos and culture is all massive in the UK right now and you have your fingers in all the pies. Big things to come for you guys and I wish you every success in the future. I can’t wait to see the next issue of the magazine.

TEN TONNE TATTOO WE HAVE A LITTLE TALK WITH ‘ATOM’ THE OWNER OF THE GRAFFITI INSPIRED TATTOO SHOP ‘TEN TONNE TATTOO’
Our magazine is all about showing the side of tattoo culture that you may not get to see all the time and we love featuring tattoo shops and artists who get what we are about.. So we bring to you graffiti loving, hip hop head Atom, who is rolling with the magazine for some crazy projects #tentonnetattoo
W
hat’s good Atom, so your originally a graffiti artist, how did you cross over to tattooing? It was a slow progress really as I got my first tattoo when I was around 18 and that was the first time I ever really thought of it as an option. I was heavily into graffiti and I realised I liked drawing on stuff that moved and so do tattoo artists. Except he was making money for doing it and I was getting chased by the police. It was when I had my son that graffiti started to phase out of my W

life and I wanted to be a tattoo apprentice, I asked a few tattoo shops if they would take me on and they all kept turning me away. Luckily 4 years later, I was working in a kitchen at the time and one of the guys contacted me back and said the position had become available if I still wanted it. Wow, hang on so 4 years later!, So you didn’t just become a tattoo artist? No, not at all especially as in my circle of friends no one had tattoos, I didn’t have anyone to
practice on or teach me. I spent ages approaching shops and although they were all very nice to me and some gave me advice they turned me away. When I had my son I had already given up on the idea of drawing but when this guy called me back, four years later it was like a calling. That's crazy, so this guy, ended up being your mentor, right? Yes, he use to make me do things I didn’t want to do, he said he would send me on a piercing course and although I didn’t want to pierce, he said if you want to learn to tattoo you have to learn to pierce. So I went to Wales and I learnt to pierce, which was really scary and I ended up being a piercer in his shop for two years before I started to tattoo. I did stuff I didn’t want to do but I would have done anything to draw on people which I did and it paid of. Its all a part of the journey! So what happened, what made you decide to open your own shop? I had a feeling that staying in one place would hinder my progress as an artist at that time as i didn’t want to only tattoo certain kind of tattoos on certain kind of people and I wanted to meet other tattooist, I always knew I wanted to move on. I always threatened I was going to leave but I liked it there and worked with two of my friends at the time. Then one day I think I had threatened one time too many because I came in and they had a replacement. I spent
some time between London and Brighton working and met loads of other artists which helped me up my game. All the spots I worked in were cool but still not the kind of environment I liked, I was able to play hip hop, but for like one hour! Then I got to a point were I decided that I wanted my own spot that had all the elements of hip hop, I loved. Forget hip hop, we are from a time of grime and garage. We didn’t have tattoos, it wasn’t cool to get tattooed by bikers with beards. The people who did have tattoos were done by brothers in a bedroom. The culture in these shops were all rocker billy nothing urban or hip hop, only tattoos. Which is why I guess I knew I had to open my own shop, to tattoo my kind of tattoos on my kind of people. That's some real talk! It’s a pretty cool name Ten Tonne by the way, where does it come from? I wanted it to be about graffiti, music, fashion, dancing, the passion of hip hop. The four elements together, that’s why I called it Ten Tonne because its not supposed to sound like a tattoo studio, it’s suppose to sound like a brand. Ten tonne cause we are heavy, we are heavy weight out here! We only roll with heavy weight tattoo artists!!.. When it comes to tattooing what would you say your favourite style is? New school which is definitely the closest your going to get to graffiti and comic realism is another word to describe it but comic realism once again is just new school using elements of realistic shading or shapes and prospective and then twisting them you know. You can see
PAPERCHASERS INK 61
that beautifully today in the same places we take inspiration from like pixar. Just warping reality and comic realism and I love that its definitely what I find most interesting and challenging to tattoo and I love a challenging tattoo. But if you asked me not just what style but what's the most important thing about my tattoo I would say the customer, I just want to tattoo nice pictures on nice people. You’ve got a lot of tattoos yourself would you say you got inked to look like a tattoo artist? Definitely not, I got my first tattoo like I say at 18 my niece passed away and I was in Croydon and I couldn’t get her name out my head and I knew I wanted to tattoo it on me. My first inspiration of tattoos was Tony Hawk, in the game you use to be able to put tattoos on the characters and so I got her name in the same old English style down my leg and obviously I got the bug. So I went back again and again and then I didn’t get a tattoo again for 4 years until I became a tattooist. Lol,we interviewed Tony Hawk last year at NASS festival.. your a real Heartless crew fan, and you joined us on a project we done with Mc Bushkin to re-do his Heartless tattoo on his back? Firstly big up all parties involved, Paperchasers Ink for making it all happen and Bushkin for letting me tattoo him. It was super cool to meet him and even more cool to tattoo him. I grew up listening to Heartless Crew so it was really sick to be able to share my art with him What do you think of Paperchasers Ink? I think Paperchasers Ink is ready to take over the world, if you are into urban or not into urban, people need to know about what you are doing as you guys are uniting a lot of people and if it wasn’t for the magazine team I wouldn’t have done Bushkin’s tattoo and I wouldn’t be tattooing at any of these festivals. They have big things coming and even bigger to come and people need to get involved and join the family as it will keep getting bigger. I look forward to working with you lot in the future.

FROM THE FOR ALL YOU SMOKERS OUT THERE WHO ARE SICK OF USING PAPERS, WE BRING YOU 6 AMAZING BONG THAT, YOU WILL LOVE….
Glass Bong – You Beauty
This is a simple yet fun glass bong that features five separate chambers to help cool and filter the smoke. Looks can be deceiving, this bong provides smooth hits and is fun to watch each chamber fill with milky smoke. Hits can be quite potent, hitting hard quickly.
68 PAPERCHASERS INK
Grav Labs – Helix Tube
It has quite a bit of science behind it. The idea of this bong is based on the Venturi effect, where smoke flows through the pipe & intake holes force the smoke away from the outer walls. The smoke is then forced through a narrower section of the pipe, increasing the spinning velocity. This cools the smoke, making for an unforgettable hit.
Black Leaf – Mini Nautilus Tube
This bong is boss. It looks great, especially the horizontal inline percolator. It also comes with ice notches and a splash guard, giving you well rounded, smooth hits. It doesn’t drag which is surprising. It comes with a huge bowl compared to the size of the actual bong, which was smaller than expected.
Glass Bong Pink Beauty
Pink beauty is new in our collection. Heavy construction is made of strong Simax glass. Pink Beauty bong is equipped with an ice holder for cooler and smoother smoking. Glass on glass bowl is the matter of course.
Jerome Baker – Robot Oil Recycler
Sasquatch Glass - Bee Hive Bubbler Sasquatch Glass is crafted in Seattle, Washington from laboratory grade borosilicate glass. This unique design requires less water than a traditional bong but uses the remaining surface area to develop the smoke and flavour of the cannabis
This Robot Oil rig is in need of oil! Creatively designed, this bong comes with a vapour dome and nail, making it a great option beyond its quirky appearance. Made in the U.S.A., this pipe is sure to attract a lot of attention—and laughs—as it generates thick plumes of smoke.

WE HAVE SEEN ROB WORKING HARD FOR YEARS ON HIS ART AND SETTING UP HIS SHOP IN SYDENHAM AND WE LOVE WHAT HE IS DOING! WE ALWAYS SHOW LOVE AND SUPPORT TO PEOPLE WHO ARE PUSHING THE URBAN SIDE TO THE TATTOO WORLD ow’s things Rob so tell us how did you become a tattoo artist, when did it all start? I started six years ago when I was a practicing lift engineer and I wanted a change in my life to allow me the freedom to spend more time with my family, having an artistic background I began to pursue different avenues like clothing, graphic novels, logos but none of those worked out for me. Being a fan of tattoos I always used to find going into tattoo studios there was little to no

representation (postively) of African culture or the diaspora, and that drove me to seeking out a mentor to assist me on my journey, from there I started investing in myself by attending art classes, and emailing artists for advice and met with other tattoo artist to exchange tips Its good that you come from a art background & you studied your craft, What do tattoos mean to you? Tattoos mean alot to me not just because I have
a love for the medium itself but I get the chance to turn peoples concepts into pieces of art. You meet people who you resonate with, people who become friends, people you wouldn't look twice at in the street, so tattoos for me is a very unifiying subject. That’s true. What do you think about the urban culture scene in the tattoo industry here in the UK? I think there is, a lot more of a lack in the industry when I started and there still is but the urban presence on the scene is growing more every year, I can't say that things will ever change because people will generally gravitate towards things that are similar to them or what a specific industry says it is. If there's gonna be an urban scene in it’s-self and it’s entirety then it’s got to be on it’s own, independent without the prejudices or pre judgements that may come with that industry. That’s how we feel. What do you think about face and hand tattoos when people come into the shop? To be honest it all depends on the individual, if you have a high coverage then it’s cool with me but if you're on your second tatt then you jog on out the shop Lol, that’s the right answer What do you think of Paperchasers Ink Magazine? It’s a great product, it’s a product that can bring artists, collectors, enthusiasts and the industry together. There's a gap in the market and this could be the filler as long as the product stays true to itself and consistent, it will always be here!! Thanks Rob.. We are happy that you are on board with the movement and good luck with the shop

BOOM BAP FESTIVAL
IF YOU LOVE HIP HOP THEN THERE IS ONLY ONE FESTIVAL YOU SHOULD BE AT THIS YEAR!!
29 - 31 JULY 2016 There is a deep love that we have for Boom Bap festival and what it stands for, well it is the UK's only real hip hop festival and that's a big deal for a hip hop lover. Last year Paperchasers Ink covered the festival for the magazine and we loved everything about it, the vibe, the music, the people! it was banging!! Next month it’s time to bring that vibe back for 2016 and the Boom Bap team have put together a killer fucking lineup, we have the international artists who are flying the flag of the USA, like AR Rugged man, Pharoahe Monch, Da$h and A-F-R-O and we can't wait to see them rock the festival but for us Boom Bap is all about the UK homegrown hip hop talent and there is going to be tons of it this year! There are loads of things that make Boom Bap stand out from all the other festivals in the UK, where it's

the same old artists who are doing a thousand festivals a year and if you miss them at one festival then 'who the fuck cares!' you always see them somewhere else, but when it comes to Boom Bap, they bring loads of artists who are popping in their own right and have a massive following but due to the grimey, real hip hop that they lay down and we love, you may never see them at wireless and that's a ok!! Them festival goers are not ready for what Boom Bap is packing, THIS IS HIP HOP BITCH!!! It's a celebration of hip hop culture and if you claim to be down with hip hop and you don't hit this years festival then all we can say is 'You must be some kind of dickhead, mate!!'

AYS GOOD TO SHEE LW A ’S IT E! P O D ‘’I THINK IT’S DOING GOOD THINGS, AND T E GOOD PEOPLE OU GUYS HAVE ALL SORTS OF FACT THAT Y TTOO LOVER'S’’ TA Although you are on the other side of the world, we have been talking for some time now & it seems your career has really kicked off. What have you been up to lately? Hey guys, thanks so much, It’s been a while that we have been trying to link but finally we made it happen haha !! Man I’ve been crazy busy lately between riding bmx’s, rapping, getting tattooed, travelling and all the other fun that comes with it. I’m only just catching a break! I’ve just now 2 weeks ago returned back to Cali from Australia after I spent a nice month and a half visiting friends and family !! Yes you sure have! Some of the clips and pics you’ve been posting are so cool, we are jealous. lol What countries have you visited so far & what did you get up to? Haha thank you it seems like I live on a plane, I’ve actually visited quite a few countries, Australia, America, Germany, Poland, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Netherlands, France, China, Japan, mmmm I'm sure there’s a few more that I’ve forgot about haha. Most of them have been through my riding. That’s how I make my living, riding in bmx contest and shows. One of the highlights so far is that I’ve been lucky enough to be apart of the Fise contest held in Montpelier France!!! Shit is crazy! 500,000+ spectators, lived streamed to over a million people, basically it’s just one week of craziness. haha ! Wow, now that is crazy! What you got coming up for the rest of the year? Well actually I had a fair bit planned for this year, travelling to Croatia for the Pannonian Challenge contest and the festival to compete & perform there. I will then be heading over to Germany for the Bielefeld City Jam, but actually I received word today that my plans might be getting flipped up. I may be spending the rest of the year here in America performing shows all around the country. You sure are one lucky dude! You’re not just a rider though, I’ve seen you been in the booth a few times too, what you got up your sleeve? Haha yeah, rapping is what I love to do in my time off. It’s something I’d love to be able to pursue as a career someday but like all things it takes time. I’ve actually recently linked with a UK producer Delicacy and we have been working on a few joints together! Hot! We will keep an eye out for that one. Your inked up that’s for sure one of the reasons we originally connected, you got some sick tatts- what’s your favourite? Yeah I have a bit of ink now, slowly getting to where I want to be. As for my favourite that’s so hard for me to tell you, haha every time I feel like I have a favourite, I then get a new one and I suddenly don't like my favourite one as much haha Do you have any tattoos you wish you didn’t? Lol Actually not really no haha, I for sure have one that I wish was done better and that’s the compass on my hand lol. The artist at the time just rushed it and didn't do as good as a job, as I would have liked but my good friend and current artist Kyle Lutge and myself are planing on fixing it up it’s all a matter of time lol What do you think of Paperchasers Ink Magazine? I think it’s dope! It’s always cool to see good people, doing good things, and the fact that you guys have all sorts of tattoo lovers, sports, music artists and models, I think it’s so dope!

READERS S T U F F
WE ASK OUR READERS
WHAT GOT YOU INTO Tattoos?
My tattoos are my stories, every single one tells you something about who I am, and what I love. My first tattoo was inspired by my mom, She got a butterfly tattoo at the age of 17 by a guy in our neighbourhood, I had the same person tattoo a butterfly on me at 17.
Since I was a little kid I have loved the idea of being tattooed, when I was about 12-13 I would hang around people who were tattooed & it would make me crave it more, I liked the whole idea of these people looking like they had war paint on, when I was 15 I got my first tattoo on my forearm, mum didn't take it too well haha, since then I've learnt what artists & shops to go to, & what kind of shops and 'artists' to avoid.
It was honestly peer pressure my first boyfriend had one and I wanted one after I seen his, He told me it took his mind to another place when he was down and out, at the time I was curious on just how good it could make me feel

I’ve been a fan of tattoos since I was about 8 years old. I saw this guy on the train & I thought it was kinda cool. I asked my parents what were all those drawings on him & they said that only bad people get them & not to worry what they were. I still thought they were pretty cool tho. Lol

I've always wanted to be inked from when I was a little boy, and saw my mums tattoo. i would often draw on my skin until I was old enough for tattoos, at 16 I got my first tattoos on my lower arm. 3 stars & I showed it off in college haha, everyone was impressed I was also a art student so I drew up many designs that I wanted to get done, ever since that day I was obsessed to get more ink
Denzyl
Having my daughter left my body far from perfect, but I wouldn't change it for the world because she is the most perfect little girl, but having tattoos gave me my confidence back & made me feel comfortable in my skin again.

WE CHAT WITH DJ AND TATTOO LOVER EMMA How did you get in to DJing and how long have you been doing it for? Long story, I had a boyfriend when I was about 18/19 who was a Dj and I use to sit in his bedroom every night, watching him mix and I was bored- so I had to join him. So I started djing when I was about 19 which is about 18 years ago and I worked in a record shop called slamming vinyl for around 3 years and it just went from there. What kind of gigs do you do? Mostly tech house events all over London so east, south and I am a resident for Motto and Scluded which do nights all over London. You got a bit of ink, some work done half a sleeve and more, when did you get them? I am a big believer that when you get ink it has to have meaning to you. So my arm is for my little boy it says “I love you for al that you are, all that you’ve been and what you are yet to be and his name”. Then I have a piece on my leg, I split up with ex that I was with for 12 years and it says” every new beginning comes when some other beginnings end” Ah how lovely, any more plans to get ink? Yes, I want to get a piece, I am planning to get for music just not sure where but obviously for my djing. What do you think about Paperchasers Ink? I think it’s a sick concept, the fact that you do every thing yourselves rather than getting other people in and having to wait for stuff, it means you’ve got control over everything you do. I love tattoos and I love the urban look and feel of everything, so I think it’s great.
