Apoyar y brindar mejores oportunidades a los productores agrícolas es una de las principales misiones del Ministerio de Agricultura, Ganadería y Alimentación, el cual se encuentra al mando del ministro José Ángel López, quien participó en el taller que impulsa la iniciativa regional AgriLAC Resiliente.

Reducir la vulnerabilidad

“Es importante reducir la vulnerabilidad, tanto de los sistemas productivos como de los productores, sus familias y sus medios de vida. Por ello es necesario reorientar las inversiones hacia la adaptación, mediante la aplicación tecnológica y de soluciones en la naturaleza dentro de los diferentes sectores productivos”, indicó el ministro López.

El encuentro reunió a representantes del Grupo Consultivo sobre Investigación Agrícola Internacional, del Centro Internacional de Mejoramiento de Maíz y Trigo (Cimmyt), la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y la Agricultura (FAO), el Centro Internacional de Agricultura Tropical (CIAT), el Instituto Internacional de Investigación sobre Políticas Alimentarias y el Instituto de Ciencia y Tecnología Agrícolas (ICTA).
