Economic tour

The Ministry of Economy received a courtesy visit from the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Guatemala, Haytham H. M. Al Malki, who set an important work schedule. Additionally, they established the next Economic Tour that will take place in Saudi Arabia to seek new markets for Guatemalan products.

Accredited Ambassadors

The President of Guatemala, Dr. Alejandro Giammattei, received the credentials of the ambassadors of Taiwan, Miguel Li-jey Tsa, and Korea, Cheon Joon-ho. The ambassadors spoke with the Guatemalan president on matters of mutual interest.

Investing in the country

Representatives in a trade mission from the Republic of Bulgaria showed interest in investing in the country’s sectors of medicine, tourism, infrastructure, and electronic equipment, for which they were presented with the Ministry of Economy’s (Mineco, in its Spanish acro - nym) nearshoring strategy, the “Guatemala Does Not Stop” project, and other competitive advantages.

The Vice-Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala and Ukraine met virtually to discuss the bilateral agenda. They reiter- ated support for the first-mentioned country, for being a nation always seeking peace and dialogue.
