During his visit, the President emphasized that Taiwan “has always supported Guatemala” and was very pleased with the cooperation agreements reached.

The first agreement is for two Taiwanese textile companies to move their operations to Guatemala. The second is the extension of scholarships to Guatemalans so they can study in Taiwan. In the coming months, 50 Taiwanese investors will visit the country to learn about the market.
