THE GOFFS LONDON SALE – TRULY A SALE LIKE NO OTHER Since 2014 the Goffs London Sale has been synonymous with Royal Ascot as the unofficial curtain raiser to the Royal Meeting. Our combination of a world class thoroughbred sale held during a beautiful garden party in the grounds of Kensington Palace has provided some memorable and historic moments that have been the focus of the bloodstock world each June. Sadly we cannot be together in person this year for obvious reasons but that will not prevent us from bringing you another unique event as we present our live virtual sale which will be jointly hosted from London and from Goffs’ headquarters at Kildare Paddocks in Ireland. The format may be a little different this year, but the quality is as strong as ever as we have catalogued a fine selection of form horses with international appeal. The prospect of purchasing a horse ready to run at Royal Ascot has captured the imagination of buyers since the London Sale began with several bold runs and we are delighted that the majority of the horses on offer hold entries throughout the week. We are grateful to our vendors who have maintained their faith in this one
off Goffs concept and indebted to the British Horseracing Authority for facilitating the immediate transfer of ownership for runners at the Royal Meeting which ensures each horse will carry their new owners’ colours at Ascot, an initiative that is unique to this sale. I would like to extend our thanks to our London Sale supporting partners who bring so much to the London Sale each year. We are delighted that QIPCO, Selfridges, Château Léoube, Ampito Group, IYC and One&Only Resorts have continued their patronage whilst we welcome Fitzdares to this wonderful group for the first time. PURCHASE PRICE • All horses are sold in sterling • Horses located in the United Kingdom at the time of the Sale will be invoiced by Goffs UK in the Euro equivalent as shown on the bid board at the time of the Sale and at the VAT rate relevant to a sale in the United Kingdom • Horses located in Ireland at the time of the Sale will be invoiced by Goffs in the Euro equivalent as shown on the bid board at the time of the Sale and at the VAT rate relevant to a sale in Ireland. • Horses located in France at the time of the Sale will be invoiced by Arqana in the Euro equivalent as shown on the bid board at the time of the Sale and at the VAT rate relevant to a sale in France. BUYER COMMISSION • The Purchaser will pay commission to Goffs equal to 6% of the Purchase Price. In the event of a difference of opinion between the Purchaser’s Veterinary Surgeon and the Veterinary Certificate (s), the Sale may be cancelled at the discretion of the Purchaser, provided notice of cancellation is made by the Purchaser to Goffs no later than 24 hours after the Purchaser’s Veterinary Surgeon has completed his examination of the Lot. If so requested by the Vendor, Goffs may have the Lot

examined by The Panel and where the opinion of The Panel does not agree with the opinion of the Purchaser’s Veterinary Surgeon as expressed in his certificate furnished, then the opinion of The Panel shall prevail and shall be final and binding on the parties. No Lot may be re-examined if it has raced following the Sale.
PIROPLASMOSIS • This applies to all Lots other than any Lot which races within ten days following the Sale. • A Purchaser may instruct a Veterinary Surgeon to take a blood sample from a Lot, no later than 5.00 pm on the second calendar day after the Lot was purchased, to be tested in accordance with the Elisa Test and/or the Piro IFAT test. • Where a Lot is not so described, the Lot shall be returnable to the Vendor if the Lot is found to be positive for Piroplasmosis. (For the avoidance of
doubt, any sample not found to be negative shall be deemed to be positive).
PASSING OF RISK AND TITLE • The Lot will be at the Vendor's risk at all times until it leaves the premises of the Vendor when the risk shall pass to the Purchaser. If the Purchaser has not taken possession of the Lot by 5.00 p.m. on the fourth calendar day following the Sale, the Lot will be at the Purchaser’s risk from 5.00 pm. on the fourth calendar day following the Sale.
