2022 Season
> Titans Track & Field is a parent and volunteer led homeschool athletics club serving DeSoto, Tate, and Panola Counties in North Mississippi.
We are members of Mid-South Association of Homeschool Athletics (MSAHA) and have been competing in Mississippi and Tennessee since the Fall of 2016. In short, we strive to give opportunities for students to stretch themselves, set goals and build con dence through a sport they can keep for years to come.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Titans Cross Country Season begins in August and ends the first week of November. Training begins in the Summer around June to prepare to racing season in the Fall. Also in the Summer we will have a week long high intensity camp to prepare runners for the season, and have some fun games and fellowship time with teammates. We compete on the state level and on the national level each November at the Homeschool XC National Race (HXN) in Nashville, TN.
Titans Outdoor Track Season begins in April and ends in June. Pre-Season training begins in the winter/early spring as weather allows following a break from XC Season. Our philosophy is to do a few events well. Titans main events are sprints, relays, discus, long jump and hurdles. We train the total athlete to be able to sprint, jump and throw, regardless of the event.
As of now, we will have 1-2 outdoors track competitions for the season.
We o er XC & Track from Junior High to 12th Grade for Girls and Boys. Additionally, we allow runners who are interested in running, run non-competitively, practicing with us on a less frequent schedule and not participating in races.
Our practice locations are at Coldwater Track, Senatobia and at Sardis Lake. Runners are expected to complete their weekly milleage and training whether individually or with the group. Runners may also use the online app, Running2Win to track their progress.
