The way I work When I am given a project my reflex is to grab some sheets of paper and to sketch for a long time, until I find 2 or 3 interesting ideas that I will develop with more sketches. I love searching to improve an idea, it’s the most creative part of the projects’ development process.

CD Covers and lyrics book Here are a few examples of CD covers and lyrics pages I imagined for one of Frank Sinatra’s best of. I wanted to work in black and white to respect the singer’s environment, jazz, elegance and sobriety.

School signs These are signs for our new school. The choice of colour is according to their symbolism (security, obligation, creativity...) and what the sign indicates ( a room, an obligation, a course...). To be noticed and understood a sign needs to be clear and obvious, this is why I decided to use outlined and simple illustrations.

This is work for a sweet emporium in Brighton, UK. I was ask to create a logo, posters, tshirts, chocolate bar wrapping and also find a way to use the logo for the other things this shop was selling, as drinks and organic food.

Logo design, take away bags, stickers... For a Japanese restaurant in Paris. The customer wanted something young and fresh, appealing to everyone. I came up with these 2 (times 2) propositions.

2D/3D These are works I have done on a computer. All the 3D was made on Solidworks, the other pictures on Illustrator and Photoshop and this book was made on InDesign.

From this first picture I had to turn it into night-time and then ÂŤincrusterÂť somewhere in Paris.

Jack the gambler Poker and Jack Daniel’s is a classic like Perrier and tennis or Lucozade and football. I used the green felt that is on most of gambling tables, to cover the inside of my box. The bottle is not laying totally flat, it sticks out a little thanks to the «padded mattress», two Jack Daniel’s chips are standing on both side of the bottle. The brand’s name and the famous «N°2» are engraved, one is painted in white the other one in gold. Everything is made out of wood and light felt.

Your Zippo’s own pocket The goal of this project was to associate two brands. I chose to work with Zippo® and Levi’s®. I always keep my lighter in the small pocket of my jeans as it fits perfectly, as if it had been made for it. I used jeans for the outside and the material you find in your pocket for the inside. I also changed the famous «red tab» into a Zippo label and for an easier opening and closing I inserted a magnet in the cover and a piece of metal on the other side.

Inflatable shelters The idea was to find a user-friendly portable shelter. I decided to work for homeless people and their dogs, who are not allowed in refuges. There would be 2 tents, one for the master, one for the dog; they could be zipped together, in bad weather. To fold them, I imagined an inflatable structure that would straighten the material in between: once deflated, the tents could be rolled up and clipped to be worn as a backpack.

A pod for Nao Nao, the robot, needed something to rest his knees on and a place to reload. I found the discrepancy between the hard plastic of Nao’s structure and a soft and round seat interesting. My inspiration was something that could fit perfectly to any shape and would be as comfortable as a bubble. What would it look like if you gave this bubble enough resistance to bear a 10 to 15 kg weight? Once seated Nao would take the plug from the base and insert it in his chest for reloading. The lamp can be programmed to show any colour at any time, interacting, or not, with the robot.

Magnetic Goggles This device allows you to play at any video game console but in a state of total immersion, as the «helmet» surrounds you with images and sound. Thanks to an adjustable system this device can fit any head size. It is customizable with a clip-on system on the earphones, so that the company could offer a range of pre-customized «ear-clips» or just provide plain ones so that the player can make his own.

OctopuSpray This lively 2 meter high octopus stands on the beach with 4 of its tentacles sucking up the seawater to spray it out. More than just a water spray this giant mollusc is a meeting point or a mark to find one’s bearings. Knowing that salted water increases the risk of sunburns, the water is filtered in the octopus’s tentacles. Its soft body is a perfect place for children to play.

We could also imagine the same device in the middle of the water, which would become a great diving spot.

Foldable floor Either for schools or for hotels needing a multipurpose room, this wooden floor can turn into dozens of chairs in just a few minutes. Inspired by the Bauhaus cantilever chairs by Stam and Breuer, this highly resistant chair has a metal structure and auto-blocking hinges allowing a safe and simple opening.

Bic Cristal速 I was given a 3,3 feet by 3,3 feet booth in a shopping center either to sell or to exhibit the product I wanted. I chose to work with the Bic Cristal速 ball point pen. My idea was to underline the longevity of this product and everything you can do with it. The sheet of paper represents school and the first use everybody has of a Bic Cristal速 and the famous character is coming out of the page as a sign of creativity and capacity.

After School These are a few examples of what I like to do as customizing furniture, posters, flyers, stencils...
