Why do we celebrate St Patrick’s day?
We celebrate St Patrick’s day as it was the day that Saint Patrick died. Saint Patrick brought Christianity to Ireland. St Patrick’s day is now celebrated all over the world but especially here in Ireland
How is St Patrick’s day celebrated traditionally?
On St Patrick’s day there is a traditional St Patrick’s day parade in Dublin. People would wear the colour green to celebrate St Patrick’s day
How Covid has effected St Patrick’s day
On the 13th of March 2020 Ireland went into lockdown, it was decided that the annual St Patrick’s day parade would not go ahead along with types of celebrations and gatherings. This year for the second year in a row the celebrations were cancelled as gatherings are not aloud
What was done this St Patrick’s day around the world?

You can see in these photos that, the Sydney opera house ,Niagara falls, the Christ de Redeemer statue , Arás an uachtaráin and Trinity College and much more went green for St Patrick’s day. In Raheny there was some street music for all to enjoy (at a distance).
