NEW MAXLINER AUSTRALIA CANOPIES
For Isuzu D-Max and Mazda BT-50
On the back of selling out its first release of Toyota Hilux and Next-Gen Ford Ranger Venture canopies, Maxliner Australia has announced the release of the next Venture canopies to arrive in 2023, the Isuzu D-MAX and Mazda BT-50.
The new canopy has been designed from the ground up precisely with the Australian ute market in mind and is said to feature ground-breaking specifications combined with electrifying styling. “Australians are buying more utes than ever before, and canopies have turned from the tradie’s functional workhorse to a lifestyle accessory,” Maxliner and Vandapac Australia Managing Director, Nigel Brownscobe, said.
“About 18 months ago, we sat down with our product planning team in Thailand and set them a challenge to design a canopy that offers our customers the function they require but incorporates style and class-leading specifications; the result is Venture”.
With a manufacturing facility in the heartland of ute manufacturing in Thailand, parent brand Vandapac Pty Ltd produces the Venture canopy exclusively for Maxliner in Australia. However, the company has been making OEM quality vehicle accessories for over thirty years and supplies global vehicle manufacturers with genuine accessories and production parts.
Working with the manufacturing and production team in Thailand and the sales and marketing team on the ground in Australia has given Maxliner Australia the opportunity to design the Venture canopy in a way that replaces the canopy features which end users dislike with considered, practical and modern features.
An example of this is replacing hard to access small side windows with easy to access large side windows. The Venture has also replaced traditional window key locks with handle-free push button entry on the rear and side windows. This can also be integrated to the vehicle’s key fob.
This testing allows manufacturers to exhibit reasonable precaution and due care in design of their FVPS by demonstrating that their product provide similar impact characteristics to the original vehicle, does not detach during impact and is not likely to adversely affect airbag deployment characteristics and the original vehicle’s ADR compliance.
Hamer4x4 explains that all of its products are ADR approved and airbag-compliant, with its Next-Gen Raptor Brand New Atlas Series bull bar and 300 Series Toyota LandCruiser King Series bull bars next in line to be ADR tested and approved. The Venture also features a spoiler for good looks, but a fully reinforced steel structure roof allows a substantial load-carrying capacity, perfect for work or play.
Maxliner says another way the Venture challenges traditional canopy offerings is by presenting customers with two product styling options: a conventional colour-coded painted body or a modern and aggressive black-accented version. Either style can be matched with black door moldings, flares, weather shields, side steps, and crossbars. These additions allow customers to personalise their vehicles and offer dealers further profit opportunities.
The Venture canopy is available now for Toyota Hilux and Next-Gen Ford Ranger, and pre-order for Isuzu D-MAX and Mazda BT-50 at Maxliner Distributors and Stockists across Australia. For more information or to become a stockist or distributor, please visit maxliner.com.au
Ufi Filters
UFI says its filters are “the OEM-quality choice for the best engine protection”
The filtration processes that refinery fuels are subjected to only retain particles with dimensions between 50 and 80 microns with the smaller pollutant particles remaining in the fuel which risks being further contaminated during the transfer to the end consumer.
The diesel filter, therefore, is a crucial component that ensures proper maintenance and performance of a vehicle.
UFI says the best way to choose a high-quality fuel filter is to use the same that are fitted as original equipment (OE) by car makers, from premium manufacturers such as UFI Filters.
UFI has been in the filtration business for over 50 years, with the last 20 specialising in the production of filter media.
FormulaUFI is the brand name given to the filter materials that have been selected, developed, and produced in-house by UFI, which says its OE pedigree means that it is “the number one choice of 95 percent of manufacturers worldwide.”
The Volkswagen Group confirms its valued partnership with UFI Filters as sole supplier of the fuel filtration systems for the 1.6 and 2.0 litres EA288 EVO diesel engines on the MQB platform. They are installed in different popular models, including the Volkswagen Golf, T-Roc, Tiguan, Touran and Passat; the Audi A3, Q2 and Q3; the Škoda Kodiaq and Octavia.
The filtering cartridge (UFI PN 26.038.00) belongs to the FormulaUFI.H2O family which has a high water separation capacity thanks to its cellulose fibre base combined with synthetic or glass fibres. It has an impurity filtering capacity of more than 95 percent for particles of up to 3 μm.
The structure of the housing and cover with hydraulic fittings features coated steel, which provides excellent resistance to corrosion, explosion, and impact.
Another type of diesel filtration can be achieved through deep filtration produced according to the exclusive UFI.EXTREME Formula.
The deep filtration media from UFI filters diesel fuel from the inside to the outside, in accordance with the principle of coalescence. In other words, the fluid passes through materials of varying depth and

New Projecta switch and power point range
An all-new range of switches and power points from Projecta is providing caravan and motorhome owners, as well as manufacturers, with stylish and functional hardware that looks great and can be easily customised.
Comprising of blank and labelled switches, as well as removable snap-on / snap-off cover plates, the range is available in various colours and outlet options to suit a wide variety of interiors and electrician applications.
Switch plates include one, two, three, four, five and six gang options as well as a slim one gang architrave plate, with switch mechanisms to suit in white, blank and silver colours.
Several labelled switches including ‘Fridge,’ ‘Pump,’ ‘Stove’ and ‘HWS’ (Hot Water System) are also available to easily identify each switch function.
Current ratings for the switches include both10Amp and 35Amp options with a locked rotor current rating of 98Amp across the range.
In the power point range, single and double GPOs are available in both black and white, with fascia options in white, black and silver.
Interchangeable fascias, switch bases and GPOs enable mixing and matching of colours, providing owners and bodybuilders with the ability to develop a personailsed appearance to match or contrast appliances, walls and benchtops.
Projecta’s all-new switch and power point range meet all relevant Australian and New Zealand safety standards (AS/NZS 3112, 3133 and 3100) and have been tested rigorously in house by Projecta. The range is available from leading caravan and RV outlets or by contacting Projecta directly on 1800 113 443. The UFI DEFENDER 60.H2O.00 filter, patented by UFI Filters, developed also for the original equipment, is a replacement for a high waterfuel separating system to ensure optimum maintenance and performance of a vehicle for Multijet engines.
The UFI 24.ONE.0B is a “seamed” type with a steel casing. The filtering media is made from synthetic material and is composed of polymers which create a depth septum characterised by a “volumetric” graduated porosity gradient. Equipped with water presence sensor, it functions as both a “pre-filter” and “fine filtration” within the same cartridge. For more information, visit www.ufifilters.com
