The agency has served Arizonans for more than 50 years. Opening their doors in 1970, the first programs offered focused on methadone and behavioral healthcare services, predominately for monolingual, Spanish speaking families. In 2011, Valle del Sol introduced primary care to its portfolio of medical services. More recently, they added mobile health, telehealth, and 24/7 behavioral health services to their portfolio of services. Today, Valle del Sol integrates Behavioral Care and Primary Care in an approach that serves patients holistically: mind, body, and spirit. This approach has shown that it helps achieve better health outcomes, allowing staff to work directly with patients in a culturally respectful manner, developing individual treatment plans and facilitating the least invasive level of care. Valle del Sol has seven locations through the metropolitan Phoenix area and over 65 school and community co-locations offering behavioral health services to individuals where they live, work and play.
