Things should be warming up for AgAir Update readers south of the equator. The aerial firefighting season in South Africa and Australia has already started. Australians are expecting a lot of pressure from brush fires, as it has been unusually dry. I’m receiving multiple reports about fires in South Africa. When there is a need in South Africa for aerial firefighting support, usually it is 500-gallon SEAT (Single Engine Air Tanker) aircraft. This is much different from the rest of the world where the most common, fixed wing SEAT aircraft is the Air Tractor AT-802. I understand that Bolivia called in VLATs (Very Large Air Tanker) to help with the Amazon fires. And, that the Brazilian air force sent their C-130s to help in Brazil. The media doesn’t cover the role the SEAT plays in fighting fires, at least not properly. Maybe a small, single engine aircraft is just not as impressive to reporters who know nothing about aerial firefighting. If they did, then they would be focusing more on the cost-effective SEAT and be asking politicians and bureaucrats why aren’t more SEATs used, “before” the fires are such a problem the heavy iron is needed? Interested in more aerial firefighting? Be sure to check out our sister publication, AerialFire (www. aerialfiremag.com). Sign up for a free subscription. You’ll like what you read. With the help of several Latin American agaviation associations, I am able to follow a lot of what goes on there. Recently, I opened an email newsletter from FeArCA, the Argentine national association, that was advising its members to avoid applying glyphosate. I found that unusual. In the U.S., and much of the world, glyphosate is a large part of an ag-operation’s applications, especially in the U.S. with both spring and fall “burn-down” applications to kill weeds before planting and at, or after, harvest. Actually, there are aerial applicators that without glyphosate applications they would have to restructure their
business or maybe even close it. I made some inquiries and I’m told, not directly from FeArCA, that Argentine operators are receiving unfair, biased complaints concerning glyphosate applications making it a serious risk financially, or maybe even worse, to make these applications under certain conditions and areas. At first I could not understand, why would an ag-operator back away from a legal application? Mostly, that is my lack of knowledge about the issue as it actually is in Argentina, although I have lost count of how many times I’ve visited operators in Argentina in the past 25 years. Not only is the media and the public fighting to stop aerial applications there, particularly those with glyphosate, but the chemical companies that manufacture the product are not helping. Unfortunately, anti-glyphosate activists have gotten a very strong foothold worldwide and, due to a lot of misinformation, are being successful at hindering applications. This war is being fought in the U.S., as well. Huge financial awards have been made by the courts against Bayer, a major manufacturer of glyphosate (Round-Up), in the amount of hundreds of millions of gallons, which is absurd. Logic says there is no way an individual can accurately claim glyphosate caused their Hodgkin’s Disease (cancer). I’m sympathetic with those with this disease, but if this was even possible, in the near future there is going to be a pandemic throughout the world of people dying from exposure to glyphosate. Thousands of aerial applicators, their loaders, as well as farmers and their chemical handlers have been exposed to much higher levels of glyphosate, working with the 41% grade product. The product can be bought at any farm and garden store, which means millions of homeowners are using the product worldwide and have for decades. Why aren’t all these people dying? Because glyphosate is not
INTERNATIONAL creativepro.com
toxic to humans and other animals. It is as simple as that. Prove me wrong! Last month, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released a statement saying glyphosate was safe. The agency was ruling against a state that was trying to require manufacturers to print on the glyphosate label that it is carcinogenic. EPA says it has years of data stating this is not true and that they were not going to allow a state agency require chemical companies to make false statements on the chemical label. Good for the EPA! But, the war continues. It is overwhelming for the small population of high-end users of glyphosate, like aerial applicators and farmers. If anti-glyphosate activists are successful in banning glyphosate, it will have an impact on the entire world and the ability to produce enough food for over seven billion people. Maybe FeArCA is on to something. If enough Argentine aerial applicators deny enough applications, there will be an outcry to fix this issue, or at least make it manageable. However, everyone knows there will be rogue applicators that will make applications that professional applicators deny. This causes a problem for everyone, especially if the rogue applicator drifts the product off the target area. It will be very interesting to see how this problem in Argentina resolves itself. I have my fingers crossed, hoping for the very best outcome. Until it is resolved, my advice is to support national associations in their recommendations. Having more association members is always more effective. If you don’t agree with your association’s recommendations, then get involved in the policy making of the association. I can assure you that our associations have the industry’s best interests in mind. Oh yeah, while you are reading this, I know you are counting the days before November 18 for the beginning of the National Agricultural Aviation Association’s Ag Aviation Expo in Orlando, Florida. Please, be sure to stop by AgAir Update’s booth (718) to visit. I’ll be looking for ya! Until next month, Keep Turning…

BRAZILIAN AIR FORCE SHOW Last weekend (09/15) AeroGlobo Aeronaves (Brazilian Air Tractor representative for Lane Aviation) was present at an air show hosted by Brazilian Air Force in Pirassunga, SP Brazil. The air show brought to the Brazilian Air Force air base about 70,000 people that spent the whole day seeing different airplanes and presentations. The Brazilian Air Force demonstrated a
fleet of seven Embraer-built Tucanos; this time twice that day. Also, Sindag (Brazilian national agaviation association) had a display booth. Here, the association’s virtual reality goggles were used to show attendees what it is like to fly and spray with an ag plane. People waited in line about two hours to try on the goggles. More than 500 people had the opportunity to experience “flying” an ag airplane. You can see in the photo of the girl in the wheel chair enjoying the virtual reality of the ag-flying goggles! It was a special moment for all of us. AeroGlobo wanted to share this with AgAir Update readers and you. Um grande abraço Bill,

by Graham Lavender When one thinks of New Jersey, images of busy highways, urban sprawl, Atlantic City and maybe even scenes from the HBO series The Sopranos come to mind. Few associate the small northeastern state with small towns, acres of cranberries, corn and aerial application. However, there are a handful of aerial application operators in The Garden State. Wings Aerial Applicators, who consist of husband and wife team Austin and Emily Daniel, along with Austin’s dad Jeff, are one of them. agairupdate.com | A 11

The Daniel family has a long history in New Jersey farming cranberries. Owners of The American Cranberry Company, they started with around 20 acres in 1995. As the market for the fruit did well in the early 2000s, the family expanded to around 160 acres. This expansion led Jeff and his wife Sharon to purchase a Hutch Pawnee to treat their farm. Jeff has an extensive background in aviation; he led Yak 52 air show demonstrations with The Raiders Demo Team, and is a pilot with American Airlines. For the next decade, cranberry farming took the lead with aerial spraying coming in a close second. Jeff, along with pilots Doug Pollock and Dan Minerva, mainly treated their own acres and neighboring farms with occasional custom applications. Over this time period, Jeff added a Weatherly 201B and an Eagle to their fleet. The Eagle, somewhat rare in today’s aerial application
array of aircraft, filled the void that the spraying operation needed for very small fields. The Eagle is still in use today by Wings Aerial Applicators. Around 2010, the cranberry market took a severe downturn for New Jersey farmers. Jeff decided to scale the operation back to its original 20 acres and focus on the aerial application business. Austin Daniel, Jeff’s son, was also starting to fly. Jeff taught Austin in the Yak 52 and transitioned him to tailwheel aircraft in a 1931 Waco RNF. The duo still have both aircraft. Once Austin obtained his commercial license, he began spraying with the Pawnee and moved to the Eagle and eventually the Weatherly in 2010. The 2010s showed a steady increase in the business for Wings Aerial Applicators. Over the next several years the company added two more Weatherlys and hired additional pilots, Nathaniel Crenshaw, Chris Caruana and Craig Reiner. ➤

With four pilots now on staff, Austin was free to pursue his dream of becoming a fighter pilot. In 2014, Austin was selected by the Air National Guard to fly the F-16 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. With aviation being a mainstay in the Daniel’s family, some weekends are reserved for flying the Yak at air shows, all the while keeping up with acres for Wings Aerial Applicators. It was only natural that Austin settle down with someone who had the same passion for aviation as he and his dad. During one weekend flying at The Flying W airport, Austin met Emily, who by happenstance, came from a family that was bitten by the same aerial application and general aviation bug. Emily’s grandfather had pioneered early ag aviation in the 50s and 60s with Cubs and Pawnees. He also owned and operated a flight school, Lewis Flying Service. Emily and her two brothers are third generation pilots, her father a retired American Airlines Captain and her mother a recent private pilot. Emily began flight training at 14 years old with her father, and received her tailwheel training in their J3 Cub. Austin and Emily were married in 2015 at the Flying W Airport where they had first met. The couple moved to Texas for Austin to continue his military training, while his dad took care of the spraying back home. Emily, who had just earned her CFII, continued to build time and flight experience while the couple was on the road. She flight instructed, flew jumpers, and ferried aircraft while Austin was in military flight school. Austin finished his initial

training in Texas and the couple moved to Arizona so Austin could attend F-16 school. Austin was able to secure a position back at his New Jersey home with the Air National Guard. This allowed Emily and Austin to continue to build and expand Wings Aerial Applicators and the family farm. Emily took the same agtraining route as Austin, first starting in the Pawnee, then moving to the Weatherly. 2018 was Emily’s first season and this year she started her second season in the Weatherly. She has also opened a flight school for the off season with a Cessna 150 the couple purchased together. The school is named Chick And Rudder Aviation. Emily plans to expand the school to teach tailwheel, upset recovery, and ag training.
Wings Aerial Applicators defines the unconventional aerial application operation with a mix of aircraft and pilots. Wings Aerial Applicators has added additional aircraft to their fleet in the past year. Namely their first turbine, a Dromader. The operation needed a larger aircraft for the increase in cover crop and fertilizer work. Another addition is the L19 Bird Dog, which they use for scouting new fields in difficult terrain and for initial ag training for new pilots. Dan Mulholland, who has put in time as a ground loader the past two seasons is currently taking advantage of the mentorship and working to become an ag pilot with Wings Aerial Applicators. The fields for Wings Aerial Applicators are very small, so their combination of aircraft works well for their operation. The Eagle still flies, but the majority of the work is done with the Weatherly. Currently, both aircraft are used for wet and dry work. In the future, the operation hopes to streamline most of the dry work with the Dromaders and the liquid applications with the Weatherlys. Cranberries and blueberries are the predominant crops in the area, but they will fly some specialty vegetables (pumpkins and pickles). Corn also has a decent presence. Cranberries take about five applications of 100-200/lb/acre and another five applications of 5-10 gpa of fungicide. All the aircraft are equipped with various models of the CP nozzle and have a mix of AgNav GPS systems installed. Wings Aerial Applicators defines the unconventional aerial application operation with a mix of aircraft and pilots that aren’t commonplace in the aerial application business. However, the trio, Jeff, Austin and Emily, have found a niche that works for them. In doing so, they are doing their best to keep the “Garden” in The Garden State.

Positioning of Spray Nozzles on Aircraft by Dr. Henrique Campos
Illustrative photo of the propeller propulsion area that may interfere with the uniformity of the
In this text, I share some tips and information on sprayer nozzle placement options for greater spray distribution uniformity. These tips and information are based on field results obtained from the SABRI & DoPro Aircraft Clinics conducted in Brazil and the air application technology workshops in the United States. In general, there are four situations that have been repeated the most and in most cases, impairing the uniformity of deposition of herbicides, insecticides, fungicides and growth regulators. These situations can manifest individually, but sometimes all at the same time.
Nozzles located in the propeller thrust area: This effect is sometimes mistakenly attributed to the negative interference of aircraft tires on the spray distribution. The image below illustrates the area to watch out for on agricultural planes. To solve this problem, some pilots use boom brackets that increase the distance for nozzles and booms out of the most turbulent zone or simply close nozzles positioned in this turbulent area.
Atomizers located at the root of the right wing: This factor happens mainly for rotary atomizers (such as Micronair, Zanoni, Travicar, Microspin, CBB, etc.). It is also true for nozzles. In Brazil, rotary atomizers are typically used with lower application rates (less than 15 liters per hectare, or 1.5 gal/ac) and also with smaller droplet sizes (less than 200 microns). This combination of low application volume and fine droplets causes the droplets generated by the A 16 | agairupdate.com
atomizer(s) located at the root of the right wing to be dragged onto the belly of the aircraft due to the propeller effect. The solution in these two cases was to move the atomizer outboard on the boom. Sometimes optimal positioning is only achieved after a series of attempts. Analyzing images and videos during application is important and recommended, but using only images and videos are not enough. Ensuring that atomizer repositioning is adequate will always be related to the lower Coefficient of Variation (CV values below 20%) obtained with string spectrometry equipment.
spray distribution.
Effect of propeller on atomizer rotation speed:
Illustrative photo of closed nozzles that are
The turbulence caused by the propeller causes atomizers positioned at the root of the right and left wings to have greater rotation speed than other atomizers. Just observe at takeoff how these atomizers positioned at the root of the right and left wings have a higher rotation compared to the other atomizers on the boom. Higher rotational speed results in the production of smaller droplets and, consequently, a difference in droplet coverage or drifting of smaller droplets to non-target areas. The solution ➤ for this problem is always taking into consideration the atomizer blade angles as analyzed on water sensitive papers. The image below shows the modification of the angle of the rotating atomizer blades positioned in the wing root area. On the other hand, these adjustments are made considering there is no difference in flow between atomizers

positioned in this turbulent area.

and that they do not show wear or damage. Recently, I mention this to a customer at a SABRI & DoPro Aircraft Clinic. Upon receiving the report indicating that his aircraft had 14% CV (considered to be optimal distribution uniformity according to the standards adopted for string spectrometry analysis), he questioned the motive for criticizing his spray pattern. Although adequate in the volume of spray deposited along the string, it was found that the average droplet size (DMV) deposited on the water-sensitive papers positioned at seven different positions ranged from 100 to 520 microns. 100-micron drops were found at zerometer (belly of the aircraft) and three-meter positions to the right and left of the aircraft. Additionally, droplets with 350 microns in three to six-meter positions and finally drops of up to 520 microns in the six to nine-meter positions were found.
Ipanema 201A with change in the angle of the atomizer blades positioned at the right wing root for better uniformity of droplet size.
Atomizers and nozzles located in the wing vortex area: In this case, there are two main areas of concern, the first is for aircraft that have the spray boom near the wings. In these cases, it was noted that there may be greater wind turbulence for atomizers and nozzles, consequently increasing the production of fine droplets. Therefore, care should be taken in choosing the dstance between booms and wings. The second situation is for aircraft that have a spray boom the length of the overall wingspan. Nozzles positioned at the end of the boom are more influenced by the wing vortex. To correct this problem, it is recommended to use booms with a maximum length of 75% of the total aircraft wingspan and 80% of the rotor for helicopters. Finally, due to so many factors involving the correct positioning of nozzles/atomizers on aircraft booms, there is the need for observations, evaluations and validation studies for each boom set-up. In conclusion, the success of aerial application technology is dependent on small adjustments. Therefore, the most prepared aircraft will always achieve the best results. Hypertension and the Pilot
A common misconception is that elevated blood pressure can cause you to “lose your medical”. Not true.
A 20 | agairupdate.com
A common, feared and deadly risk rides along with many pilots. Not as dramatic as the hidden wire on the edge of a field, but deadly nonetheless. The very thing we must have (enough blood pressure to “push” the hemoglobin molecules containing oxygen for the brain) can become deadly when it’s too high. Heart disease, stroke and kidney disease are often the result of uncontrolled elevated blood pressure (hypertension). These diseases not only can affect your quality of life, but can cause you to lose your medical. How high is “too high”? To “pass” the aviation medical, your blood pressure has to be less than 155/95. The FAA recognizes that the stress of being in the AME office may cause some increase in pressure. This number is too high for good health. “Normal” is a blood pressure of 120/80 (after sitting for five minutes). The higher number is the “systolic” pressure, the lower is “diastolic” pressure. “Systolic” is during the “squeeze” of the heart muscle, “diastolic” is during the “relaxation” of the heart muscle. A common misconception is that elevated blood pressure can cause you to “lose your medical”. Not true. The vast majority of people with hypertension can be treated with acceptable medications and continue to get a “normal” medical. The AME simply has to show that you meet the criteria for a CACI (Conditions AMEs Can Issue).
CACI issuance with hypertension is straightforward. Requirements are: • the treating physician, or (importantly) the AME, can certify the airman is stable and has had no medication changes in seven days • there are no symptoms • airman is on an acceptable medication (there a lot of acceptable medications) • there are no side effects That’s it. No special issuance, no special paperwork. No letter mandated from your treating doctor. There is no reason to not have your hypertension treated. You’ll live longer, healthier and fly longer. Remember, if the stress of going into the doc’s office raises your blood pressure, it’s going up when you are dodging that wire, or listening to the farmer yelling at you yet again... Reference: https://www.faa.gov/about/office_ org/headquarters_offices/avs/offices/aam/ame/ guide/media/C-CACIHypertension.pdf. Two Texas Operators Hit Second Time by Storms by Bill Lavender Contributions by Andy Mitchell and Adam Leger
Tropical storm Imelda dropped over 47 inches in less than 24 hours.
A 24 | agairupdate.com
Tropical storm Imelda made landfall on east Texas September 17, 2019. Although not a hurricane, it was a powerful rainmaker dropping over 47 inches in less than 24 hours. Just two short years ago, this same area was hit by Hurricane Harvey. Even for those hit by both storms and survived the wind, flooding took its toll. Two Texas operators, Twin County Air Ag and M & M Air Service, both suffered from the flooding for a second time. Read the story of Twin County Air Ag in the April 2019 issue of
AgAir Update. Also, for more about the damage M & M Air Service suffered from Hurricane Harvey, see AgAir Update’s November 2017 article. Because of Imelda, M & M Air Service lost three Air Tractors; two AT-802s and an AT-602. The flying service was caught off guard being told not to expect more than 10 inches of rain, which is not an excessive amount for this rice growing area. That’s considerably different from 47 inches, as were the results. According to

Adam Leger, Twin County Air Ag did not lose any aircraft being about two feet higher MSL than M & M Air Service, but did have damage to its ground support equipment and hangar. Per Air Tractor Service Letter #208 that addresses air frame water damage from submersion, the wings should be returned to the factory for repair. In the case of the M & M Air Service’s aircraft, the water went over the baggage compartments. “Imelda was worse for M & M Air Service than when we were hit with Harvey two years ago,” explains Andy Mitchell. “Complying with Air Tractor’s service letter, we have now had to basically salvage three aircraft.” As for Twin County Air Ag, the water level of flooding spared the aircraft. The new ground trucks that had been just put into service (less than 7,000 miles) after months of waiting to replace after Harvey, were flooded. The newly remodeled offices for Twin County Ag Air were inundated with flood waters as well and have been demolished in preparation for another rebuild.

Considerations for an Aerial Guidance System by Lai Nguyen, P.Eng. Product Developer for AG-NAV Inc.
Making a wise and informed selection, the guidance system can become a good investment instead of an expense.
A 26 | agairupdate.com
An aerial guidance system used to be a big expense for the ag-operator. Twenty years ago, a GPS receiver alone was more than $10,000. While a GPS guidance system was about $30,000, not including a flow controller, nor an auto-boom system, no touchscreen, no color display and no Internet access. Floppy disk and PCMCIA cards were the only way to transfer data from and to the GPS guidance system. Navigation systems were developed to run in DOS or Unix or no operating system at all. GPS positional data could have errors of 30 meters (100 feet). To improve GPS accuracy to about 10 meters (30 feet), a beacon or coast-guard modem system would have to be used for differential corrections. This system might cost another $5,000. So, for costs upward from $35,000 is how much you would have had to pay to improve aerial applications and eliminate the human flagman and paper marking system. Nowadays with technology innovations, GPS guidance systems are no longer an unaffordable expense; but it’s not small either. A high-end system may cost around $18,000 to $20,000. Adding a flow controller, the total can be up to $25,000; but the performance of today’s systems are much better than those of 20 years ago. By making a wise and informed selection, the guidance system can become a good investment instead of an expense. It will save time, improve applications, enhance pilot safety, reduce workload and save money as well. When buying a new aerial guidance system, the following should be considered: Functionality: You have probably made aerial spraying jobs for many years. When receiving an order from a client or grower, typically you fly to the field, create an AB line, then follow the guidance to stay on the target line and spray the field. The job might become a little more complicated when you have to prepare the spray boundary, define the best direction to fly, set booms on/ off boundaries and maintain an even application over the field. The job could be more complicated
when you have to manage multiple polygons, not spray over sensitive areas and buffer zones and vary the application rate based on a prescription. If there are many obstacles in the spray area, such as towers and power lines, then you should be concern about pilot safety. Which GPS unit will help you improve obstacle awareness, as well as simplify these requirements? Pre-Flight and Post-Flight Utilities: With mapping technology, growers may request a more precise application with a report after the job is completed. Will the new guidance system have the utility or software to map the boundary for an application? Does it have auto-boom on/ off functions to improve the accuracy of the application? For post-flight data processing, will it have the utility or software to review the application and create reports for your clients? In a competitive world, whoever can offer more will normally succeed. This is why you need the right guidance system.
Remember Murphy’s Law: “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.” And, often goes wrong at the most inconvenient place and time. Quality: Is the guidance system durable? How many years will it last? A good way to find out the quality of a system is to ask pilots who have used the same guidance system. Let’s consider operating systems. There are three primary operating systems used in agaviation guidance systems: Windows, Linux and iOS. If the guidance system uses Windows, you should check the version of Windows, i.e. ➤

Windows 7, 8 or 10. Research to see if the guidance system’s Windows is the latest version released by MicroSoft, or has it been discontinued and already obsolete. The problem with out-of-date Windows is you may not be able to update software to get new features and/or bugs fixed. However, Windows remains the most popular system, bulky but easy to use. It’s the easiest system for creating application software. That’s why many software developers have chosen Windows so as to build software quickly. However, because of its popularity, it’s prone to hackers all around the world. If the operating system is Linux, then you may not have all functions normally found in Windows. This is because Linux can be customized to support only necessary functions depending on available hardware. So, Linux is normally a very lean and robust operating system. That means it will take less space on a hard drive and require less memory to operate. By comparison, if two systems have the same eight gigabytes of RAM (Random Access Memory), the one running Windows has barely enough memory to operate; while the one running Linux has plenty of memory. For real time operations such as aerial application, the hard drive is used for permanent data storage and memory is used for temporary data storage and real time functions such as GPS data processing, guidance calculation, auto-spray control, flow control, mapping and spray coverage display. Besides bugs in the software, a guidance system normally crashes due to insufficient memory available for data processing. The best thing about Linux is that it’s free. By agreement, if developers use the Linux kernel for free, they will not charge customers for it. You should have no worry about updating an antivirus license or the system becoming out-ofdate. The drawback for Linux is it has to be troubleshot by a highly trained IT person. The quality of the guidance system completely depends on the skills and quality control of the company manufacturing the product. The iOS is well known for tablet and mobile computer systems. There is no doubt that it has gained popularity very quickly and that it will advance a lot further in the future. The most powerful feature of iOS is the ability of using Internet of Things (IOT) for data and device management. For example, turning on/off the alarm system in your house, or adjusting the thermostat. While iOS is an excellent operating system for tablets and mobile phones, it’s uncertain how it performs for real time tasks in a guidance system. Questions like how reliable is the wireless connection between the tablet and other devices such as the lightbar in an aircraft full of noise from radio communications, power systems, and engine operation? Support: Every system has some problems in both hardware and software. Even professional software development companies that have a reputation of excellence could have one severity bug per one thousand lines of code. Industry average for software development is from 15 to 50 A 28 | agairupdate.com
bugs per thousand lines of code. As of August 2019, the AgNav SprayView has 137,347 lines of code. Windows or other server software may have millions of lines of code. Does that mean SprayView may have more than 2000 bugs? Of course not! After its release, the number of bugs were reduced through software improvement and optimization. That’s why system developers need your feedback to improve their products.
If you agree that every system has some problems, will you get help when a problem happens to you? Remember Murphy’s Law: “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.” And, often goes wrong at the most inconvenient place and time. Can the manufacturer and dealer help you resolve the problem? Sometimes you have a dealer who tries to help, but can’t because the problem is beyond their knowledge to fix. If the request to get the problem fixed escalates to the manufacturer, will you get the problem fixed for free? Do you get software and hardware updates free of charge? A manufacturer should be chosen that considers customer satisfaction an ultimate goal of its business. By choosing the right manufacturer, your system will increase in value because it has fewer bugs and has more features implemented to satisfy a customer’s needs. Again, a good way to know about the quality of customer support is to ask those who have been using the services and products of the company and dealer. Price: After considering all the above, next comes the price. Is the desired system affordable? If the system is cheap but has many problems later, you will end up paying more. Consider system upgrades. A very simple guidance system may be less expensive and at the time of purchase be appropriate. However, if your business is growing and you need to do more services for your clients, you may want to upgrade your aerial guidance system. Is the system upgradeable and compatible with other add-on devices such as flow controller, auto-booms, wireless data transfer and application monitoring? In conclusion, everyone tries to get more for their money, especially when purchasing a tool such as an aerial guidance system. You can get the most valuable product for your money if you choose wisely based on desired functionality, high product quality and excellent customer support. In recent years, there have been many new technologies to improve aerial applications and pilot safety. Be sure when you make the decision to purchase a new aerial application GPS guidance system that it aligns with those technologies.
