Autumn Newsletter 2022 Out and About Back in May, Abacus Creative Resources exhibited at the Northern Education Show where we got the chance to meet the Deputy Head from an amazing primary school in Sale, Greater Manchester. After the event Springfield Primary School got in touch with us to help them with their latest exciting project; converting an old double decker bus into a fully functioning art studio and classroom! Hannah and Kayleigh were lucky enough to go and visit the school and get the chance to explore the fantastic work that had been done to transform the bus! After visiting Springfield Primary School, Hannah and Kayleigh were contacted by Woodfold Primary School in Standish, Wigan who were also working on refurbishing an old bus for their children to use as additional art space which is set to be ready this month! We would like to take this opportunity to thank both schools for allowing Abacus Creative Resources to supply the materials to complete their fantastic projects ready for this new school year!
New In Have you seen some of the amazing new products we have in stock? Abacus Creative Resources are proud to introduce a brand new POSCA product to our already extensive POSCA range… meet MOP’R! Designed to be used for street art, fine art and everything in between, the POSCA MOP’R features a ‘round’ foam rubber tip and unique barrel design with the same unqiue ink found in all POSCA’S. The MOP’R reservoir has an ergonomic shape and is comfortable to hold, can be used either upside down for high ink flow or right side up for finer details. The porous tip shape also allows ink to flow through, holding the tip against the surface will cause drips that really bring your art to life. It’s not just drips you can create though, the MOP’R can be used for a lot of different techniques that are harder to achieve with other tips. Create splashes, stamps, spray effects, highlights and more. We also want to introduce you to not one, not two, not even three but FOUR new products to our Blue Acorn range. We have
been working hard in the background to get these quality products ready for our customers. We are super proud of our new sketching pencil and coloured pencil tins; containing our distinctive cedar barrel pencils beautifully presented in a reusable Blue Acorn branded tin. If that wasn’t enough, we are also delighted to showcase our freshly rebranded Blue Acorn black fineliners; the same great quality you are used to from the previous pen but in our new FSC certified packaging and now in a smart navy barrel featuring our beloved Rufus the squirrel. We loved these so much we wanted to expand our fineliner range; so available to purchase now are the new 12 assorted colour fineliners in their new look recyclable pack!

Lancashire Mind
Lancashire Mind are our chosen charity for 2022 / 2023 and our Office Manager Hannah has been offered a place on one of their coveted Mental Health at Work awareness courses. The course gives participants the tools required to recognise signs of stress, anxiety and depression amongst colleagues and also aids in opening up channels of conversation for the workforce. Hannah said ‘I am very much looking forward to attending this course. Mental Health is being recognised more and it is important that employees feel they have a mental health advocate in the work place who they can confide in.’ Hannah will be attending this course on Wednesday 21st September.
