05 FACTS ABOUT COTE D’IVOIRE Ivory Coast is the world’s leading producer of cocoa beans, supplying 33 per cent of the total The Basilica of Our Lady of Peace in The Ivory Coast capital of Yamoussoukro is the largest church building in the world covering 323,000 sq ft. Queen Abla Pokou is the legendary founder of the Ivory Coast and is said to have led the Baoulé people there from Ghana in the mid-18th century. Ivory Coast footballer Didier Drogba scores 13 million hits on Google. President Alassane Ouattara has 613,000. They have twice won the Africa Cup of Nations, in 1995 and 2015, both times beating Ghana on penalties in the final.
MC LIFE TERM DATES The MC term is full time and officially starts on the 1st of August,2019 and ends on the 31st of July,2020. However, if selected for MCP you will have to be physically present in COTE D’IVOIRE latest by the 1st of June,2019 for physical transition and preparation towards the term.
LIVING CONDITIONS & ACCOMODATION The MC is currently working and living in a 4 bed room house, located at Yopougon quarier maroc Carrefour anador, Abidjan COTE D’IVOIRE. The house serves as both the national office and accommodation of the MC. It has a fully functional wireless internet connection, a working desktop, printer, file cabinets, furniture and basic living and housing requirements.
TRAVEL/ADMNISTRATIVE COST All official traveling including mandatory international summits and conferences costs will be covered by AIESEC in COTE D’IVOIRE as long as the financial situation allows it
