How to Configure MS Outlook for ABM email. To check your ABM email from Outlook, follow the setup process below. These instructions apply to Outlook 2007, 2010 and 2013. All other versions are unsupported.

Open Outlook from the Windows start menu. The Create New Profile window appears. Type “ONEABM” and click the “OK” button. The Microsoft Outlook Startup wizard appears, on the first page of the wizard, click Next. On the Auto Account Setup page, Outlook may automatically fill in the Your Name and E-mail Address settings based on how you're logged on to your computer. If the settings are filled in correctly, click Next to have Outlook finish setting up your account. Skip to step #3. If the settings on the Auto Account Setup page are not filled in or are not correct, follow the instruction below “How to setup/change your email address during Outlook setup”.

How to setup/change your email address during Outlook setup

a) In the “Your Name” field, type your full name. b) In the “email address” field, type your @abm.com email address (example: jane.doe@abm.com) c) In the “Password” field, type your OneABM ID password. This password was distributed to you via email before the migration. If you do not know your OneABM password, please contact the help desk, provide your OneABM ID and ask for a password reset. One you have received your new password from the help desk associate, enter it in the field. d) In the “Retype Password” field, re-enter your OneABM password. e) Click the “Next” button to continue. f) After a few minutes, you will be prompted to authenticate to your new ABM mailbox. 1. In the “Username” field, type “oneabm\” + your OneABM ID (example: oneabm\abcd1234) 2. In the “Password” field, type your OneABM password.

3. After you click Next on the Account Setup page, Outlook will search online to find your email server settings. After a few minutes, you will be prompted to enter your user name and password to authenticate to your new ABM mailbox. a) In the “Username” field, type “oneabm\” + your OneABM ID (example: oneabm\abcd1234) b) In the “Password” field, type your OneABM password. If Outlook is able to set up your account, you'll see the following text: “Congratulations! Your email account is successfully configured and ready to use.” Click Finish. 4. Outlook will automatically restart. You will be prompted to authenticate to your new ABM mailbox. a) In the “Username” field, type “oneabm\” + your OneABM ID (example: oneabm\abcd1234) b) In the “Password” field, type your OneABM password. Outlook will open and will be empty. This is normal. Outlook will begin downloading your migrated content (email, contacts and calendar items) from the ABM mail servers. Note: It may take several minutes for your mailbox to download all of your email from the server. While this is in progress, you may visit https://webmail.abm.com from Internet Explorer to send and retrieve email while your content is being downloaded to Outlook on your PC. 5. Once your content has downloaded to Outlook, please confirm that your SharePoint alerts are setup correctly. a) From the toolbar/ribbon, click “Rules” then “Manage Rules & Alerts”. b) The “Rules and Alerts” window appears, click the “Manage Alerts” tab. c) The “Manage Alerts” tab appears and will prompt you to login. Each alert that is setup requires authentication to the server/system for which it connect to. In the example below, the first alert in the list is attempting to connect to the ABM projects server (http://projects.abm.com). You will be required to login to each alert you have established. For alerts connected to any TLG SharePoint sites, use your TLG CORP credentials (CORP\”your CORP ID”). For alerts configured to ABM systems and ABM SharePoint (Connect X), use your new OneABM credentials (Oneabm\”your OneABM ID”). Once you have completed all steps above, your setup of Outlook is complete.
