PURPOSE/SCOPE

Unified Workforce is a holistic, peer-governed, meritocratic platform that innovates the workforce performance model to enable consistent delivery of service excellence. A meritocracy is a system in which the talented move ahead on the basis of their achievement. This system is the foundation of UW’s innovative approach to its workforce performance model, which is possible through its Points Engine. The UW Points Engine was built to capture those reactive and proactive activities that reward when contributions are positive and take away points for unfavorable actions. One of the contributing platforms to UW’s Points Engine is abmlq.com. It is a collaborative website where UW members can share and consume information relevant to specific groups or the community as a whole. Points are earned or lost depending on the UW member’s participation within abmlq.com; points are reflected within UW as the member logs in and uses the system. This Work Instruction (WI) defines how abmlq.com is used as a UW points contributing platform. 2.0

PROCEDURE (SOP OR WI STEPS) 3.1 abmlq.com Points Engine Field service workers utilizing the UW platform are empowered to make more choices compared to traditional service management models. Points are used to balance things out and have a direct impact on their community social standing as well as, when using the pull or shuffle variants of dispatch, dictate when you are notified of available work activity. Those getting notified first will likely choose the work they prefer. Those with low community standing will see work activity after the good calls have been cherry picked. Influenced by the social impact of eBay and World of Warcraft, the UW Points Engine allows a "peer governed society" to self-regulate and flourish. There are several inputs that feed the points system into or within UW. One of the contributing platforms is abmlq.com – an external community website built to encourage collaboration within the EASI (Evangelists, Advocates and Supporters Influence) Program. As soon as someone registers as a member of UW, he is also automatically added as a member of abmlq.com. This process provides UW members with a venue to collaborate with other UW members or any other ABM employees, partners or even customers through topic specific groups and/or forums. The points that feed UW from abmlq.com are based on specific actions or events completed by each UW member within abmlq.com, as listed below.
