ourVOICE In Practice

“We have found the ourVOICE Program to be extremely beneficial on several levels. First and foremost, the entire staff is involved in identifying workplace challenges as opposed to just management, as is usually the case.

An unexpected benefit of this program has been the sense of inclusiveness that results from having the challenge and associated program materials displayed in multiple languages which received a tremendous positive response.” In our experience here at DIA, the key to making this program a success is to “talk up the program” on a consistent basis. The management staff makes a point of “reminding” employees about the program whenever possible. Failure to “keep the program alive” by “talking it up” can easily result in a lack of enthusiasm, wherein the program slowly dissipates.”
