UNLOCK DOCUMENT TO EDIT BEYOND THIS POINT 1.0 PURPOSE/SCOPE ABM Facility Solutions Group (FSG) is committed to being the employer of choice and to recognizing our success is the result of the collective contribution and effort of our employees. In support of this commitment, FSG uses an Employee Handbook to inform its employees of the basic human resources policies, practices, and procedures in order to promote understanding and support of employees to safely and ethically perform their jobs. This Work Instruction (WI) defines the access to and distribution of the FSG Employee Handbook (hereafter referred to as the “Handbook”). The Handbook is applicable to ABM Facility Solutions Group and its business units, namely:  ABM Healthcare Support Services  ABM Building & Energy Solutions  ABM Government Services 2.0 RESPONSIBILITIES 2.1 TASK RESPONSIBILITIES   

All FSG employees are responsible for reading and understanding the Handbook. All FSG Human Resources personnel must read, understand and abide by the provisions of this WI. All Supervisors and Managers must ensure that their direct reports have access to the Handbook.

2.2 APPROVAL / ESCALATION RESPONSIBILITIES The FSG Vice President of Human Resources is the point of escalation for all matters contested or inquired upon this WI and the Handbook.

3.0 PROCEDURE (SOP OR WI STEPS) 3.1 ACCESS TO THE EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK The Handbook is available in a hard-copy format or electronically via the organizational intranet. It is highly suggested that the electronic copy is consulted for the latest version and that hard copies are kept at a minimum to prevent referencing outdated or obsolete information.  Hardcopy – contact your divisional or business unit HR manager for a copy  Electronic – log into the ABM Policy Portal to view the electronic version; system credentials are required to log into the organizational intranet: http://www.abmlq.com/wifsg1055a 3.2 DISTRIBUTION OF FSG EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK Timely access to an Employee Handbook can make the onboarding process of new employees a smooth and easy transition. Additionally, existing employees can feel confident in having HR related policies and procedures at their finger-tips when questions or issues arise. Therefore, the distribution of FSG Employee Handbook must be adhered to as defined below: 

Existing Employees: HR leaders from each business unit or division will be responsible for the distribution of the FSG Employee Handbook to their existing employees.

New Hires: An acknowledgement form will be provided to and signed by each new hire informing him/her where the Handbook can be obtained via the organizational intranet. For those who will not be provisioned system credentials required to access the organizational intranet, a hardcopy can be provided or requested.
