Review 2016

REVIEW / 01 INTRODUCTION

01. INTRODUCTION IT experts currently belong to the most desired, and at the same time demanding group of employees. As Absolvent.pl Group, which has been effectively recruiting for 7 years, we have noticed this trend. We have created Code Europe in response to a surge in demand for employees within new technology industry. Our most recent, innovative project connecting a programming conference with career fairs for IT experts has attracted the attention of thousands of specialists and employers during the I edition on the 5th and the 7th of December 2016 in Cracow and Warsaw. What is more, it was named by them the largest event for the programmers in Poland. 5861 attendees have participated in the I edition of Code Europe. Being aware of a fact that in constantly changing IT industry a development is essential, we have provided you with a proven knowledge transferred by 71 world IT leaders. At the conference there were held 100 workshops and lectures concerning 30 technologies.

2

REVIEW / 01 INTRODUCTION

In the agenda of the event have appeared also particular panel discussions: “Future IT professions” and “New technologies modify the labour market”. It is our response to a common opinion that programmers do not have to worry about the employment, and innovations cannot surprise them. The most appreciated heads of the biggest companies creating new technologies presented during the meeting their own vision of a work within IT sector in the future. What is more, they answered the questions on the upcoming specializations in the industry. In IT career fairs zone attendees have talked to the representatives of 59 companies. 80% of the respondents claim that those meetings were crucial to respond to a new offer of employment. A tremendous interest in the entrepreneurs’ exhibition space demonstrates that IT specialists are open to a direct contact with prospective employers. Aiming to facilitate the search for employees, business partners or customers in 2017, we have compiled the new and complex Code Europe offer. We already encourage you to contact the representatives of the event from Absolvent.pl Group, who will make you familiar with its details. The report has been prepared on the basis of the questionnaires summarizing Code Europe. They have been responded online by almost 600 attendees participating in the event on the 5th and the 7th of December 2016.
