WHAT IS A
PORTRAIT EVENT? IT’S A PORTRAIT PARTY!! It’s a chance to get your friends and family together, to share in some fun, laughter and cake while at the same time I photograph your kids, and create stunning portraits, that you can treasure forever. Think Tupperware party, but instead of looking at plastic food storage, you get to get stunning photos of your kids, while still having all the fun of catching up with your mates. A portrait event is made up of multiple mini-sessions, and like the name suggests are just for photos of your kids. Each person receives a 20 minute session, at a heavily reduced price. (We also have special reduced print pricing only available at our Just Kids events.) Its a great opportunity for you and your friends to share the cost of getting professional portraits taken, and is perfect for the likes of coffee groups. By hosting your own portrait event, you will receive a free session of your kids, as well as print credit and special gifts. WHEN CAN I BOOK AN EVENT? Just Kids Events are only scheduled on Thursdays, Fridays and some limited Saturdays. We only take on a limited number of these a month so contact us early to secure your chosen date. As the host it will be your responsibility to book your guests into their time slots. We ask that time slots are booked back to back, for ease of shooting. As we shoot primarily outdoors using natural light, our preference is to work early in the morning or later in the afternoon when the light is at its softest. This means you can generally choose to host your party either as a morning or afternoon tea. We will work closely with you to book your friends in. If the weather is bad, or you would prefer to work indoors, then we are more than happy to bring a mobile studio set-up to you.
WHERE ARE EVENTS HELD? You can hold your event anywhere you wish; your house or a local park are great options. If you are wanting to theme your party, then we will work with you to get the perfect location to compliment the look. Think photos of the kids all cuddled up in bed (or jumping up and down on it), photographed within the master bedroom., or a bunch of fairies dancing in the back of the garden. We can create stunning portraits of your kids just about anywhere. On the day of the event, we will travel to you, and bring a selection of props and stuff for the kids to play with. Our aim is to make the process simple and fun - after all it is meant to be a party.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COSTS? Each 20 minute portrait session costs only $50.00, and includes not only the time to take the photographs, but a free 5�x7� print of your choice from the session, as well as special Just Kids pricing on all products ordered. Up to two children can be photographed in each 20 minute slot. If you wish for your kids to be photographed together then only one slot is required, however if you wish for both individuals and sibling photos, then we will require two slots back to back. Have more than two kids and want family photos, not a problem, just book two slots back to back and we can do that. If you want individual shots of each child, then they must have their own 20 minute slot. As the host of a portrait event, your 20 minute slot is FREE!!
WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO AS THE HOST? As the host its your job to work closely with us to plan the perfect portrait party. You will need to: * Invite your friends, and family. * Inform them of the costs, and whats involved * Collect payment, and deliver it to us * Be there on the day to greet and meet. * Have Fun. We will work with you on every aspect of planning the party, and once you’ve choosen a date we will send you our host planning kit, which has everything you need to make the process as simple and pain free as possible - after all its a party and it should be fun. In return for arranging everything, your session is free, and we provide you with print credit for every person booked into the event, so that you can get some stunning wall art to display in your home. Please note that their must be a minimum of five other guests at your party for you to receive the free session, otherwise the standard $50 charge will apply. Parties will not take place for less than 4 paying guests.
HOW MANY PEOPLE DO I NEED FOR A PARTY? You can have as many as you wish, but to get the free session and credit as a host, there must be a minimum of 5 other guests at your event. Parties will not take place for less than 4 paying guests. Children must be able to sit up on their own unaided, and be aged under 16 to qualify for the Just Kids sessions.
HOW DO WE SEE THE PHOTOS TAKEN? All photos will be uploaded to an online gallery a few weeks after the party. From here you will be able to view all of your photos, and order any wall art you might like. Each gallery will be passworded, so only people at the party and those you wish to share it with will be able to see the photos.
