Theory of Knowledge (ToK)
A course central to the IB DP philosophy ToK challenges students to answer “How do we know” Presentation (33%) & Essay (67%)

The Extended Essay (EE)
Research driven Inquiry based, open-ended Supported by EE Coordinator, Librarian and a subject-specific advisor
The heart of the DP
Creativity Activity Service (CAS)
A 2 year programme of experiences Students are expected to develop all facets of the Learner Profile Includes a CAS Project: - a minimum of one month - must show collaboration, initiative and perseverance
Studies in Language and Literature
- English A: Language and Literature (HL and SL) - Indonesian A: Language and Literature (HL and SL)
Group 1
- School Supported Self Taught Options (SL only –Japanese, Spanish, Korean, Malay, French)
Language Acquisition - English B (HL and SL) - Indonesian B (HL and SL) - French Ab initio (SL only)
Group 2

Individuals and Societies
- Economics (HL or SL) - Information Technology in a Global Society (ITGS – HL or SL)
Group 3

Sciences
- Biology (HL or SL) - Chemistry (HL or SL) - Physics (HL or SL)
Group 4
Mathematics
- Mathematics: Analysis and approaches (HL or SL)
Group 5
Typically – Pure Mathematics, leading to engineering, medicine, mathematics, finance, some business/management, but also suitable for Humanities
The Arts
- Visual Arts (HL or SL) Group 6 can be replaced with a course in Groups 1 to 4.

All courses include a combination of internally-assessed work and an externallymoderated exam

Courses are graded on a 1 to 7 criterion referenced scale

EE and ToK are graded on a letter scale, A through E, and N (No Grade)

The DP Points Matrix combines the two results to give up 3 more points – bringing the maximum possible DP score to 45

How to get an IB Diploma 1
CAS requirements must be met.

24 points or more must be attained

A grade above ‘N’ for theory of knowledge, extended essay and contributing subjects must be achieved

A grade higher than ‘E’ has been earned for both Theory of Knowledge and the Extended Essay.
How to get an IB Diploma 5
All subject grades are higher than 1

A grade of 3 or more has been awarded at least 4 times
7
A grade of 4 or more has been awarded at least 3 times
8
For HL subjects, 12 points or more has been attained

For SL subjects, 9 points or more have been attained
