WINGS NEWSLETTER
Vol 16, Term Four, Week Seven, 27 November 2020
Dear Parents and Friends of Sunderland This morning I began my newsletter early before I rushed out the door to take four young athletes across to Mt Smart stadium to compete in the Year Seven and Eight Auckland Championships. Nikko Kelly; Fabian Villars, Amber Carnie and ShantiPushpal Ramachandra are represented ACG Sunderland and the Norwest in this competition. We will post their results next week. However, the photos on the right are of the same athletes competing at the Norwest Championships last week. Nikko was first and Fabian third in the 1500m; Nikko first, Fabian fourth in the 800m. Amber was second in the 1500m and ShantiPushpal was 2nd in the 100m. Lucas Howe narrowly missed out from making the Auckland Championships – coming fourth in his final. Thursday was also the day 17 young Primary athletes competed in the Henderson Zone Champs being held at the Trust. This year is perhaps extra special as we are also hosting one of the events, and Mr Baker and Mr Stephens were able to secure some graduates to help out. I’m sure everyone had a fantastic day.
College Legacy Day will be on Friday 27th November.
