WINGS NEWSLETTER Vol 14, Term Three, Week Four, 16 August 2019
Dear ACG Sunderland Community What a fantastic Cupcake day we had on Monday, raising over $1000 – that is just amazing! What’s in this issue: A big thank you to all the parents and children who did all the baking last weekend, supplying enough products to sell a thousand dollars worth of cupcakes. Special thanks to Ann McConnell, Andi Hamilton, Louise Kumerich and Sarah Cropp who were masterful in setting up and selling. There were some outstanding decorated cupcakes and spot prizes given to Ray Chung in Year Five in Hazel Barron in Year Three in Joseph Kumerich in Year Six and Caitlin O’Connor in Year Six. Congratulations to everyone involved. As I begin writing my report today, we have two groups representing the school. The first is our Jazz Band, who are competing at the KBB Music festival at St Mary Church in Parnell. We wish them and Mr O’Connor all the very best. Members in the band are Anahera Kingston, Hannah Leach, Erin Geraghty, Jack Feng, Akshay Sharma, Cassandra Pauling-Munro, David Li and Sophia Yeoman. Also, our top performing Table Tennis team are competing in the Auckland Secondary Schools Championships. Team is David Li, Abdul Bello, Henry Luo and Anton Vrdoljak. We wish both groups all the very best!
