Message from the CEO
Jeanette Ives Erickson, RN, DNP Interim President & CEO
In the months leading up to tonight, I have been struck by the stories so many Nantucketers have shared with me about cherished memories of our Boston Pops on Nantucket. Tonight, for the first time in nearly three years, we can celebrate and support our beloved community hospital, while making new memories.
Since coming to Nantucket in March to lead Nantucket Cottage Hospital, I have witnessed the incredible dedication, devotion, and compassion exhibited by our hospital’s staff. I have watched as our clinicians have cared for children’s scrapes and aches, have stabilized critically ill patients with seconds to spare, and our entire support staff has taken this world-class facility and turned it into a welcoming place for care and compassion for all Nantucketers.
Each and every day, our team at Nantucket Cottage Hospital provides the lifesaving, and life-changing care that each of you has come to expect when you come through our doors. Our team can do this remarkable work, thanks to the immense support they receive from community members like you.
I believe you cannot have a community hospital without a community. So, as we come together to celebrate and support our Nantucket Cottage Hospital, I would like to celebrate you. Without you and your support, our hospital would not be the Nantucket Cottage Hospital we all know and care about.
There are so many people who deserve thanks for making tonight’s event possible. I would particularly like to recognize Steve and Jill Karp and White Elephant Resorts who have supported the Boston Pops on Nantucket and made it possible from the very beginning. I’d also like to recognize Fidelity Investments for their decades of support.
A special thank you goes out to this year’s event co-chairs, Bruce and Elisabeth Percelay, who always rise to the occasion for NCH, a who have worked so hard over the past year to make this such a great event.
And, I thank you, for your continued support of Nantucket Cottage Hospital!
