A note from Tony Braithwaite, Artistic Director Have you heard?

Live theatre is back in Ambler with five shows that are all new to us! Starting this November we’re on-stage at the Playhouse with two original variety and improv scripts, a play, an off-Broadway hit musical and a Regional Premiere!

I’m celebrating my 10th year as Artistic Director at Act II Playhouse and never in my wildest imagination could I have envisioned what last season was like for all of us. Oy! We know that news changes quickly these days, so be assured we are staying on top of it, and are planning a safe return for you - and everyone here - so that you can enjoy the Playhouse experience you love.

What we were helpfully reminded of these past months is that theatre is - and always will be - a living, breathing art form - an exchange between an audience and actors in a communal space.

That’s the joy of seeing a show at the Playhouse and we can’t wait to welcome you to this year of new shows.

To borrow a line from one of my all-time favorite stories, we want to “lasso the moon” this season, and we invite you to be here with us when we do.
