MEMORIAL MARKS FIRST WORLD WAR CENTENARY To mark 100 years since the declaration of the First World War, the Australian War Memorial is running a Roll of Honour Soundscape and Roll of Honour Name Projections. Recordings of school children from across Australia saying the names of each of the 62,000 Australians who died during the First World War will play at the Memorial’s Roll of Honour for the next four years. The Roll of Honour Name Projections will see those same names projected onto the exterior of the Hall of Memory. These programs are powerful additions to the Australian War Memorial’s rich collection and fascinating exhibitions including a redeveloped First World War gallery. awm.gov.au
