Judson University Athletics ... On the Rise! Recap - 2010-11 Season
The 2010-11 season brought improvements for the Judson University women’s basketball team as they increased their win total and competed strongly with all the teams they played. Judson finished with a 12-19 record which was three wins better than the 2009-10 season and were 3-9 in the CCAC. Head coach Jim Cook brought in seven new players on the roster and did not have a senior on the team. After starting off 0-4, Judson picked up their first two wins of the year at the Huntington University Classic over Huntington and Malone University. Judson had a four-game winning streak from January 11-22 with wins over Moody Bible, Trinity Christian College, St. Francis (Ill.), and Silver Lake College. That put their record at 10-11. Judson pushed nationally ranked Cardinal Stritch in each contest losing by nine points, 65-54, the first time and in overtime in the second meeting of the season, 75-68. Individually, both Kim Peek and Shaniqua Roberts were named to AllCCAC teams for their play and were CCAC Players of the Week, once.

and took them to overtime in the second meeting. Judson also faced three teams that went onto the NAIA National Tournament. They also played an exhibition game vs. NCAA Division I Western Illinois University (L, 83-35).
20-point games
Kim Peek and Shaniqua Roberts each posted 20-point games for Judson. Peek scored 25 points vs. Trinity Christian and 21 points vs. Indiana-South to lead the team. Roberts had 20 points vs. Trinity International.
Individually, Daisy Jara finished 28th in the nation in overall blocks (46) and 30th in Three players for Judson each had one dou- blocks per game (1.5). ble-double on the year. Shaniqua Roberts, ShaRhonda Huff, and Hillary Johnson all had double-doubles. Roberts had 17 points and 10 rebounds vs. Malone. Huff put in 11 points and 11 rebounds vs. Finlandia and then Johnson had 15 points and 11 rebounds vs. Olivet Nazarene.

Judson University led the CCAC in five different categories in 2010-11. They were first in 3-point FG % (.277), rebounding offense (40.6 pg), blocked shots (3.7 pg), assists (14.7 pg), and defensive rebounds (28.9 pg). Eight different players finished ranked in the top 20 of the Judson career top 10 CCAC categories: Daisy Jara moved into Judson’s career top 10 in Kim Peek - 3-point FG % - 7th (.349); Blocked blocked shots with a strong second year of play. She Shots - 8th (0.4); Field Goal % - 9th (.422); now posts 67 career blocks for sixth place. 3-point FGs Made - 9th (1.5); Scoring - 15th (10.7); Rebounding - 20th (4.2) Two players were named to the All-CCAC in Shaniqua Roberts and Kim Peek. It is the first CCAC award for both of them. Roberts was named to the first-team while Peek was on the second team. Both also earned CCAC Players of the Week, once, too. Academically, Rachel McBride was on the CCAC AllAcademic team for her grade point average.

ShaRhonda Huff - Defensive Rebounds - 5th Shaniqua Roberts and Kim Peek both added another (4.9); Field Goal % - 12th (.406); Rebounding award for the 2010-11 season as they were on the - 12th (6.0); Assists - 13th (2.6); Steals - 13th NCCAA All-Region team. It was the first award from (1.6) the NCCAA for the both of them. Karen Senette - Assists/Turnover Ratio - 7th (1.1); Assists - 10th (3.1); Steals - 12th (1.7); the schedule 3-point FGs Made - 15th (0.9) Judson University played a difficult pre-CCAC schedule competing against three teams that were in the Ricquel Butler - 3-point FG % - 8th (.343); 3-point national rankings. They also played Cardinal Stritch FGs Made - 12th (1.2) twice in the CCAC. Judson faced #23 Briar Cliff (L, 81-67), #6 Saint Xaver (NAIA D1 - L, 69-33), and Hailey Cnota - Blocked Shots - 6th (0.6) Huntington University (later ranked #23 in NAIA; W, 54-50). Judson University was represented in five different team categories in the NAIA national statistics. They also had one player in the top 30 for statistics. Judson finished sixth in the nation for defensive rebounds (28.9) as their top category. They were then 19th in 3-point field goal % defense (.277), 20th in assists per game (14.7), 28th in blocked shots per game (3.7) and 30th in total blocks (113).
Double-doubles
Two players moved into the Judson single season top 10 in two categories. Shaniqua Roberts collected 74 steals to finish in eighth place. Daisy Jara then blocked 46 shots for eighth place.
