Landscape Architecture CV Heeley Development Trust 2012
Work Experience:
Heeley development trust is an independent local charity, led by and employing local people. During the summer of 2012 I was granted the opportunity to assist the re designing and construction of Heeley Millennium Park. This involvedworking as part of a team to construct a detailed scale model of the proposal. Also developing a series of contractors’ drawings for site construction. While working with the Trust I was given great responsibilities which fully engaged me with the project.
Volunteering Experience:
Bents Green Specialist School 2012 - Present
Bents Green is a specialist school, catering for pupils aged 11-19 with Autistic Spectrum Disorders and Learning Difficulties. On multiple occasions I have volunteered to assist the preparation of the site and the construction of design, along with a team of other volunteering students and school staff. This has been a unique and exciting opportunity. Not only has it been rewarding to see the design from drawing to construction, but it has also proved to be highly enjoyable. It has been refreshing to leave the sketchbook and computer software in the pursuit of an active landscape experience. In the coming months I shall continue to volunteer at the school, and I look forward to seeing the project through to completion.
Past Employment
Devonshire Arms Hotel Kitchen Staff: 2005 - 2008
I was employed as a general kitchen assistant during weekends while studying my GCSE’s and A-levels. The job involved cleaning, stocking, function preparation and occasional engagement with customers. This was my first experience of paid work, where I learnt how to efficiently work within a group in a stressful kitchen environment, against strict time limits and customer demands.
