our team We’d like to think of ourselves as a collective of highly skilled and extremely passionate individuals, because that’s what it takes, right? At the age of 17, Tyler Addison founded the company in his home town (it was then known as TLC, Tyler’s Lawn Care) with a simple and attainable goal - he would conqeur the Village of Arroyo Grande by providing exemplary care, one lawn at a time. Years later, a philosophy built upon passion, dedication and hard work has helped that goal and our business evolve into what it is today. Through the years we have assembled a diverse and formidable crew, many of whom have been with our family for years, who share in that same philosophy.

references I am very happy to provide a letter of reference for Tyler Addison and for his company Addison Landscape. Tyler recently completed an extensive landscaping job for my home at Trilgoy Central Coast, a plan which included front, side and rear yards, as well as all lighting and irrigation. Prior to selecting Addison Landscape, I interviewed five locally known firms, all highly regarded. While each of the companies were impressive in their own right, no other firm could offer the comprehensive service, scrupulous attention to detail and outstanding customer references which Addison provided. I worked personally with Tyler on all aspects of this job and it was, quite literally, from bare sand up to finished product. There was not one single aspect of job performance which fell shour. The plans were done to perfection, the excavation and rough work were done quickly and efficiently and the quality of the workmanship is superb. Tyler’s crew is courteous, prompt, reliable and very customer oriented. The materials used were exactly as ordered and Tyler worked tirelessly to ensure that all plants and hard surface components were top quality. Follow up and excellent communication are very important to me and Tyler has performed flawlessly in these areas. He is incredibly responsive via a number of methods, including phone and email. He is avaiable at all times and responds immediately and personally to any issue which may arise. I found his pricing to be comparable to all other vendors and absolutely feel that value was received for dollars invested. I could not recommend him more highly and am pleased to be able to provide this reference. Our landscaping turned a lovely home into a showplace and we have received many, compliments from others who have seen it. His work exceeded our expectations and are delighted to have selected him. Regards, Susan Overstreet

references Let me first begin by saying: “I don’t do referral letters ----- Until Now!” I have to admit upon my first contact with Tyler Addison, owner of Addison Landscaping, I was rather skeptical because I was expecting a lot. I was looking for a contractor who had the knowledge and expertise to perform many varied jobs at my residence such as: demolishing my whole driveway and building it from the ground up with compacted road base and sand, installing a new paver driveway, pouring concrete for new stairs and a stem wall bordering the drive, redesigning a new drain system throughout my front yard and driveway in order to prevent excess water overflow, installing an elaborate lighting system to illuminate and enhance the beauty of my home, stubbing out electrical wiring for a marble water fountain, and also designing and planting new landscape. Tyler humbly conveyed to me with confidence and self-assurance that the job would present no problem and his company was well-equipped to take on this multi-faceted project. He stressed that he prided himself in performing the highest quality work and being thorough in every dimension of the job. Well, haven’t we all heard this before from every contractor we ever interviewed, only to be stressed out throughout the whole renovation process and sometimes deeply dissatisfied with the job when it was completed? He was so serious and sincere about what he was saying that I found myself starting to weaken to the idea that he might just mean what he says. When I told him my worst fear was having a wrecking crew come out with heavy equipment onto the worksite and pound unmercifully as they tried to break up the driveway, he allayed my fears by saying: “Only a bunch of cowboys would treat your property like that.” That sold me right there! They began work within a few weeks meticulously removing the old driveway in small chunks and intricately cutting it away from the sides of the stucco wall leaving only the impression of where the concrete use to be. Their work was so meticulous that even the neighbors started to congregate to admire it. Their team started at exactly the same time each day and left at exactly the same time each evening leaving my property pristine and clean after each day’s work. When an unexpected problem showed its ugly face with the root system of three 35 foot palm trees infiltrating our underground drains and pressing against our fifteen foot high retaining wall, this team met this problem head on. All three trees were cut off at the top of the root ball, and they excavated around this root system with the utmost care to the depths of six or seven feet with their backhoe. It wasn’t uncommon to see their foreman sitting atop one of the large root balls directing the backhoe driver where to place his blade so that it wouldn’t damage the concrete balustrades that surrounded this area. Their workmanship was done with such precision in this small confined space as they removed several tons of these huge root balls without causing damage to my property. Absolutely amazing! After all the preliminary work had been done it was now time for the pavers to complete the driveway. These weren’t your small pavers that are easy to maneuver, but 3-1/4” thick pavers which measured 15-1/2” x 10” and were quite heavy. Their foreman personally set each paver in place with the help of his wonderful team hoisting each piece to him until the 108 sq. ft. driveway suddenly illuminated with color. A beautifully designed pattern had been pieced together in the center and outlined on the perimeter with a cobblestone accent. Attention to every minute detail was evident with each paver perfectly set, perfectly cut, and perfectly contoured to allow for water drainage. It exceeded anything I could have envisioned. The landscaping and lighting package added the finishing touch. Tyler had recommended that there should be a rock wall to differentiate between the row of tree roses and the Japanese Maple; he was absolutely right. In fact the rock wall added so much character it became one of the most beautiful defining points in the front yard. Like I said before, “I don’t do referrals.” But this owner, this team, and their workmanship cannot go without being recognized!” Sharon J. Edelman

references I am pleased to have the opportunity to write this letter of recommendation for Tyler Addison and Addison Landscape. While I am tempted to tell the entire story of how I chose Addison to take on my landscaping project, suffice it to say that I am SO glad I did. My experience with contractors over the years had my radar up, and I was up front with Tyler regarding my expectations, i.e., professionalism, timeliness, cleanliness, respect for my property, workmanship, attention to detail, honesty, etc. My first impression of Tyler was very positive, and while I’ve learned to trust my gut instincts with people, he was – after all – still a contractor. As our discussions ensued regarding my wants and expectations, design, materials, and the process that would be involved, Tyler quickly rose to the top of the list of other landscape companies and individuals I had considered. Tyler prides himself in performing all workmanship in the highest quality manner, and his crew represents that trait as well. While I had an idea of what I wanted to do with my one acre property, I did not have a “plan,” per se. Not being involved in the business, I felt I didn’t have the language to adequately describe my wishes, but working with Tyler, he “got it.” The project involved tear out of existing lawn and irrigation systems, tear out of a concrete patio slab, installation of large paver patio and pathways, seat walls, gas fire pit, water feature, grill island with pergola, installation of gas grill, installation of new irrigation system for front and back of the property, pathway lighting, lighting in seat walls and grill island, lighting of trees, new plant beds and plants, replacement of property-dividing fence and gates, pergola over one side gate, tear out of front of driveway and replacement with pavers, etc. Every aspect was performed with exacting detail and pride of workmanship. All materials used were of the highest quality - from the Belgard pavers right down to the gate hardware. The irrigation and lighting systems are state of the art and were expertly installed by Tyler’s crew. For the approximate two months that Tyler and his crew worked on my project, I did not have one single complaint about anyone or anything. The crew showed up on time every day, took breaks at the same time every day, cleaned up and left the property as clean and pristine as possible. I was kept apprised on a daily basis of their progress by Tyler and/or his crew. As much as I wanted to get the work finished so I could enjoy my new yard, I actually enjoyed the process – start to finish – and that is mostly due to the quality of people that I was working with. Tyler’s communication with me throughout this project was seamless, including on-site as well as by telephone, email and text. The littlest things were given immediate attention and resolved quickly. Tyler also met with me personally to choose granite for the grill island, some of the trees/plants, the basalt column used for the water feature, fire crystals, and pots for planting on the patio. The finished project is absolutely beautiful – and at night, there’s a bit of magic with the lighting. Tyler Addison and each of his crew exceeded all my expectations, and I would highly recommend them to anyone who can appreciate his level of service. Rebecca Williams

references I highly Recommend Addison Landscape and could not be more pleased with the transformation on my home. Tyler and his team did such an amazing job, my home received a 1st place beautification award. Every window offers a beautiful view of a lush landscape that was exquisitely chosen & compliments the style of my home so well. I have and will continue to refer anyone wanting only the finest quality service. Their attention to detail is unsurpassed and highly exceeded my expectations, all in a very timely manner. Addison Landscape completed all the landscape design, hardscape and planting for our new LEED-certified tasting room and production winery in Paso Robles, CA. It was a huge job that extended over at least nine months, finishing in the Spring of 2010. Tyler Addison was a delight to work with, knew his plant material very well and had good sources. He completed the project ahead of the deadline, just in time for our grand opening. There were absolutely no glitches and he deserves every ounce of credit for a splendid job. And as the landscaping matures, it is even more exciting. We are always happy to provide a reference for this company. Pam and Dick NIner, Niner Wine Estates

While attending a home and garden show last fall at the Madonna Event Center in San Luis Obispo, we visited with Tyler Addison of Addison Landscape about our intentions to do a complete renovation of the back yard of our home in Arroyo Grande. We were not sure what all we wanted to do but we did know that we wanted to eliminate all of the grass area and wanted a water feature of some type. The back yard has some slope so we felt that using concrete pavers and terracing with concrete block would work well. Otherwise we weren’t sure what we wanted. We asked Tyler to come to our home to discuss the proposed project. He immediately offered very creative suggestions. With his help we developed a flexible plan that allowed modification and refinement as the project unfolded. We had several mature fruit trees in the back yard that we hoped to save. Tyler helped develop a plan that did allow us to save those trees. He incorporated a water feature and a gas fire pit. From the initial discussion with Tyler he gave us a quote that clearly described what was included and thereafter explained any changes and the finical implications of the change. The project turned out to exceed our expectations and we receive ongoing compliments. We highly recommend Tyler and his work crew. Ron and Sharon Olson
