TYLER ADDISON NAMED PART OF THE NEXT GENERATION OF LOCAL LEADERSHIP!
We’ve always been proud of our business, the work we do, our incredibly talented team and the man who runs it all. And now, our very own Tyler Addison has been officially recognized for his superior entrepreneurial and leadership skills. This month, Tyler was declared one of the top 40 young professionals under the age of 40 working in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. A tremendous honor, and one we are very humbled by. The special report, produced by the Pacific Coast Business Times, showcases the top 40 professional individuals on the Central Coast, all under the age of 40. Pacific Coast Business Times received hundreds of nominations for the awards and worked hard to select the 2013 class of upand-coming local leaders. Of the 40 incredible individuals selected, Tyler Addison was the only member chosen that works in the construction industry and one of 17 members who own their own business. Pacific Coast Business Times Editor Henry Dubroff noted that several factors are taken into consideration when sifting through the many qualified young leaders. “We look for people who have gone above and beyond by taking leadership roles in their organizations or starting their own companies.” The 2013 “40 Under 40” class is an excellent group of individuals with many impressive accomplishments, and we are proud to be considered among them. EDELMAN RESIDENCE / Pismo Beach “Let me first begin by saying: ‘I don’t do referral letters ----- Until Now!’ I was looking for a contractor who had the knowledge and expertise to perform many varied jobs at my residence such as: demolishing my whole driveway and building it from the ground up with compacted road base and sand, installing a new paver driveway, pouring concrete for new stairs and a stem wall bordering the drive, redesigning a new drain system throughout my front yard and driveway in order to prevent excess water overflow, installing an elaborate lighting system to illuminate and enhance the beauty of my home, stubbing out electrical wiring for a marble water fountain, and also designing and planting new landscape...Tyler humbly conveyed to me with confidence and self-assurance that the job would present no problem and his company was wellequipped to take on this multi-faceted project. He stressed that he prided himself in performing the highest quality work and being thorough in every dimension of the job... They began work within a few weeks meticulously removing the old driveway in small chunks and intricately cutting it away from the sides of the stucco wall leaving only the impression of where the concrete use to be. Their work was so meticulous that even the neighbors started to congregate to admire it. Their team started at exactly the same time each day and left at exactly the same time each evening leaving my property pristine and clean after each day’s work.

A WELCOMING ENTRANCE
A
ccessibility, multi-functional spaces and a relaxing environment were the criteria used in helping Mike and Chris Harnish of Shell Beach design their new outdoor living space and hardscape. They had an idea of what they wanted, but needed some help in pulling those ideas together for a cohesive look. The project included a new ‘Celtic Wall Step and Riser’ entry way, extensive retaining systems, a ‘Bergerac’ paver driveway and pathways, stucco courtyard walls, stone veneer accents, a large front ‘Mega Arbel’ paver patio and pathways, a beautiful fire feature, two water features, softscaping, container plantings, and an impressive outdoor cooking suite. 10

The project, completed in 2012, exemplified the quality and level of craftsmanship Addison Landscape is known for, and was impressive enough to garner two 1st place California Landscape Contractors Association awards - one for a Medium Residential Project and the other for a Hardscape Project. What you will need: muslin or cheesecloth, ribbon, fine oatmeal (a great skin softener), and fresh herbs and flowers. Create bundles from the muslin by cutting 4” circles, then place the fresh herbs, flowers and fine oatmeal in the center of each circle. Gather the muslin into a bundle and tie tightly with the ribbon. Hanging the satchel from the faucet while you run a hot bath will release the fragrances, then let it dangle in the water for the duration of your soak.
