Hello everyone, If I could ask God to fulfill one of my top most wishes, it would be to rewind this month of June and get me back to May so that I could fix up my deeds to have a perfect June 2018 with lesser sorrow and pain. This issue is dedicated to my beloved father Late Mr.Ashok L.Pardeshi who passed away on the 11th June 2018 in Mumbai, India. My father lived a common man's life, worked for 32 years with Dena Bank while Papa, keep smiling up there as you were in this photo running a successful business in parallel which taken on our tram ride to ‘The Peak’ in Hong Kong. helped our family's transition from being a poor I will miss you for my entire life. family living in a chawl to now becoming a wellto-do family (at least in India). All thanks to you Papa for your tremendous hard-work, dedication and business acumen. I will always try to abide by your principles of life and livelihood. Going in the flashback of days when my father took me literally every day to the narrow streets of Princess Street, Buleshwar, Chor Bazaar, Crawford market, just in a vain to find the best deals of products which we could sell in our shop. I remember since then till now, living a normal life for a common man in Mumbai is still so difficult and complicated. Terrible water clogging during rainy season, 3-4 hrs of your productive time daily in traffic and commutation, unnecessary chaos and fights for small things, clean-up Mumbai failure all over, and more banners & hoardings of politicians rather than brands, products and social messages makes me feel that this thing has no end and the so-called Ache Din will never come. There may be some of you who might say why the fxxk am I spoiling our country's name on an international level wherein other countries are facing even worse situations than ours, but my friends its not to spoil the name but to awaken the dead souls of us, we cannot leave our happy life's in Hong Kong and go there to improve things, but can surely keep the agony within us, to talk about it with someone somewhere. Voices of millions talking have more probability of reaching to that one right system change initiator, rather than no one talking and just saying ‘that's the way it is and we just live with our mentality of jaisa desh waisa bhesh'. ‘Cover Story' by our new and extremely talented writer Rupak Chatterjee talks about wanting great independent leaders rather than politicians. Our honourable PM Shri Narendra Modiji was a big ray of hope of being this independent and new-age leader, but the way things still look from a common man's perspective it seems to be getting more difficult every day. But, here's some good news, whenever we are in a crisis, God helps us and provides us with some good Samaritans to cheer up and we have some precious jewels in Nirav Modi, Lalit Modi and the King of good times (doubt many of his employees would agree) Vijay Mallya. ‘Top Story' by our regular and talented writer talks about TACIT KNOWLEDGE, which literally means knowledge that can only be learnt by observation, practical experience and repetitive practice, it's not something that's documented somewhere and yet is the most important one which comes naturally from an individual. Readers will see some follow-up articles on this topic in future issues. ‘In the Mood' has a humorous article by Rupak Chatterjee on Rakshabandhan. We all have our crazy school days stories of Rakshabandhan, when we wanted the Rakhi's only from our real sisters and either ended up getting one from our crush at school or lived with the fear of getting one from her on that day. Thanks for Paresh, Jeet, Faiz and Shubradeep for sharing their crazy Rakhi stories. ‘Aunty MVP' is back due to public demand from this issue onwards. Our regular columnist Mrs. Poonam Mehta has been brought back to give her expert comments on some of the craziest questions received from our locals. Make sure you read, follow, share this column and please do send me your questions directly to gaurav@adesiflava.com, anonymity and secrecy is guaranteed. This issue would be very special to my heart as its dedicated to my father. So please read and share your comments with me directly. I don't want your condolence messages but need your support in the form of messages and ideas on how we can improve a common man's life in India. I have already started working on a new project in India on waste management, hoping that each one of you will contribute, promote or share when the project is known to you.
Thanks for reading this issue.

MR. ABDUL QADIR MEMON Consul General of Pakistan for Hong Kong
On the 72nd Independence Day of Pakistan
I wish to extend my heartfelt felicitations to all Pakistanis especiallay those living in Hong Kong and Macao, on the auspicious occasion of the 72ND INDEPENDENCE DAY OF PAKISTAN. This day is a powerful reminder of the heroic and legendary independence struggle undertaken by the Muslims of the Sub-continent for a separate homeland where they could live their lives with freedom and dignity, in harmony with their religious and cultural values. This Day also reminds us to make Pakistan as was envisioned by its founder; Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah to be democratic, moderate and progressive, governed by the rule of law and guaranteeing equal rights to all its citizens.

Independent leaders- not politicians "Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high; Where knowledge is free; Where the world has not been broken up into fragments; By narrow domestic walls; Where words come out from the depth of truth; Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection; Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way; Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit; Where the mind is led forward by thee; Into ever-widening thought and action; Into that heaven of freedom, My Father, let my country awake". hile religion remains to be the “sigh of the oppressed; the opium of the people” all its symbolisms seem to capture centre stage, no mind can be free…no head can be held high. The divisive caste arithmetic, religious fanaticism, an allout attack on intellectual think-tank’s, crushing of free voices and independent journalists seem to be on the spot light. Our Independence is indeed crushed into fragments and divided by narrow domestic walls. Pew Research Center analysis of 198 countries ranked India as fourth worst in the world for religious intolerance.

How much economic development has there really been in the last so many years? While the game of thrones is all about retaining power, is there really no accountability of political parties to ensure that Independent socio-political thinking in this country has some depth? Is the country cruising without a proper agenda? The incumbent Government promised creation of one crore jobs about four years ago. Yet, the 2016-17 Economic Survey, based on data from the labour ministry, stated: “Employment growth has been sluggish.” Is it the Independent India where we have to prove our nationalism at every turn of the road, or justify what we eat or wear? How is it that any political party can come to power promising a million things, and then just turn the game around altogether once it gets there? Is this the independent India that our predecessors dreamt of?

We need Independence of our institutions and how, if at all, we are constantly researching and innovating means to improve them. Political parties will come and go in government. But as citizens it is our right, to ensure that we stop being passive consumers of what’s fed to us though campaigns, social media platforms and find a way to make ourselves truly Independent. The current Independent India signals the intellectual bankruptcy that its leaders showcase. Independent intellectuals are bankrupt as there are no takers!!! If India aspires to lead the world, we need leaders who can inspire the youth towards worldclass education, high level innovation, global problem solving expertise; and not half-baked, parochial, unscientific and populist bread crumbs thrown to the masses. The NDA government's major contribution has been
to starve the education sector of funding. By drastically slashing funding for the University Grants Commission (UGC) by 55 per cent, the NDA has effectively put the higher education sector in deep freeze. This has resulted in massive hike in the fees resulting in vacancy of over 6,000 seats in the IITs, IIMs and NITs, and over 7,000 in Delhi University Our PM had made a promise that he would bring back black money stashed in foreign banks and deposit 15 lakhs of rupees in each Indian citizen’s bank account. However, years have passed and the promise continues to be unfulfilled. India needs Independent leaders not politicians. It needs a political discourse where we ask tough questions about measuring rather than straightaway believing in ‘acche din’, where we do not surrender our freedom of choice and freedom of mind. We need a discourse where our leaders dig deep, show us what’s

between the lines, the truth behind a mere contest of facts and claims. A social audit of the policies need to be done. The impact

of demonetisation and the GST on the masses need to be studied. The yardstick of any currency it its corresponding value to a US dollar. Since Independence, we have consistently lost a rupee to a US dollar, every single year. A rupee was worth a dollar in 1947!!! It’s been 70 years since India’s independence. While we started with really low levels of literacy, the massive population of India’s literate youth owes it to Indian democracy to ask real hard questions and prove that they deserve democracy. Indian youth needs to set
right the political discourse by turning the tables, by taking the reins and bringing relevant issues centre stage. We need to measure political Independence through the quality of questions that we are willing to raise. Has India’s teeming population below poverty line seen any succour? Are people less hungry, better housed, fully clothed? Are our streets ready to face the next monsoon? Most importantly, do we sit around meals, knowing that we are all different and yet one? If we can vouch for the
Volume 7 | Issue 4
trust and respect we have for each other, then alone is our national fabric secured. But if we see ourselves judging one another, scared to question, ready to submit, then clearly the discourse in this country will only churn out politicians who know well how to play us off against each other. We may celebrate our 70th Independence Day, but we have a long way ahead. We face internal as well as external challenges. We could only be called Independent when we are led by people with a vision. As we gear up to vote in 2019,

let’s ensure that as people of India, we give our leaders a clear signal that we want our country to awake “into the heaven of freedom”

( read GST, demonetization) Only then can we expect our country to march on to the path of true progress and that alone will not let the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters become a waste. - Dr.Jagmohon Sen INDEPENDENCE IS the freedom of the soul, a perception of the mind and a feeling understood by the heart. This freedom, perception and more importantly, this feeling is that of liberation, patriotism, self-dependence and other such
things. When all such terms are put together and imposed upon the majority, it is a big responsibility on the youth of that nation and on those who create it. Unfortunately, farmers still succumb to debts...mindless policies of successive governments like demonetization etc continue to haunt the rural poor...one- upman ship of the political bosses ...et all draw a mockey of our Independence. -Prof. J.K. How do seasons affect colours and patterns? By Jitendra Bhojwani
H
ow do you feel when you attend a party and people tell
you “Wo.OW” you look awesome” (yeah exactly the
same words, accentuating each vowel!) That is “topof-the-world” feeling. And in most of the cases, it is choice of your dress that does that extra magic! Split the hairs and you will know that the real magic lies in choosing the right type of colours according to the season. But we did more... splitting several layers of hair- colours, patterns, time of the day and of course- the
season! Here’s the platter for you to savour:
Winters The Blue hue rules the winters. Why? Simply because Blue is in the sky, especially in winters. Wearing Blue colours will give you a soothing semblance and nature-happy look but save yourself from blue-overdose that looks oh-so-boring! Be Girlish and go for contrasts that pop out effortlessly.
During the Day: Red and Yellow patterns look great against an azure background. When opting for red, avoid being “Loud” and prefer eyefriendly resolution. In the Night: You need something charming that can dazzle the eyes! Here you can afford to go a bit bolder, so why not? Go for shimmering gold or silver patterns against a vivid blue background. Apart from
adesiflava.com
flora, you can also go for the curvaceous and arabesque motifs. Idea? To offer the visual blend of bold colours and soothing patternsbalance matters!
2 more cents that you may use! Flora would look great and Fauna too- provided you don’t opt for an elephant-behindbamboos design. Red rose with a butterfly or 2 hovering above it would look nice. You can also go for other variations of flowers and some little birds can happily replace butterflies. But hey, did you get the bottomline? Go for patterns that depict the natural delights of winter!
Volume 7 | Issue 4
Summer The colour of summer is White! The sky is clear with no too many splashes of blue. It seems vast toosomething that is best represented by white colour. Besides, summers are bright. But then you need to go for smooth and subtle shades. Be harmonious with nature rather than opting for sharp contrast. If you must wear contrasts go for pyramid approach- Start from skyblue on the neck and then gradually darken the shade and embrace navy blue when you finally reach the midriff! During the Day: Soft and pastel colours look the best and soft yellow is an all-time
BEAUTY & HEALTH
hit. Use it as a background and accentuate with warm pink patterns. Nothing could look more girlish this season! If feeling experimental, go for grey, soft orange or light green. Off-white background and soft-pink patterns are a boon for those who can never solve colour-puzzle. In the night: Still, stick to the pastel colours for a background but change the patterns. Rose gold and silver are your best friends and they are very much in the vogue. They stand us but don’t strain the eyes that are a good thing. You can also opt for a good sprinkle of shimmering gold if you want a distinct look but then be
19
ready to trade some amount of your soothing look! The choice is yours!
2 more cents that you may use Summer patterns should be large but soothing. Avoid sharp edges..that pinches the eyes! Curves, circles and splashes look great. You can go for the soothing geometrical patterns or some soulful designs.
Spring We don’t need to tell you the colour for this season. After all, everybody knows it! As for the apparels, choose the ones that harmonize with nature are charactercharming, witty and fascinating! Yellow is the
20
BEAUTY & HEALTH
trademark colour but beauty lies in how do you use it for an appealing semblance. During the Day: It is a nobrainer that red and yellow are the best buddies. Both are charming and vivacious. But yellow is a bit reserved in its appeal and prefers to be in the background...just a few notches behind the red when it comes to mischief. In the context of spring- if yellow represents pleasure then red is purely exhilarating! If you would rather look harmonious then go for Green against yellow. In the night: You can go for silver patterns set against yellow and believe us the pattern didn’t come to our mind off the blues! The
silver reminds of drizzle and yellow represents spring. What could be a better combination!
2 more cents that you may use As for the patterns go with the mood of the season...drops, raining, drizzle or splash! Anything that repeatedly breaks, accentuates or dots the monotony of colour looks great!
Autumn Autumn! Close your eyes and think aloud and we can hear your voice- ORANGE! Yeah, that is the colour for the season. Boldness would need our apologies and we are with the “old-worldcolours” that can take your reverse journey down the memory lane. Muted colour
adesiflava.com
look fine if selected properly. Keep them near orange but don’t go for very rich “inyour-eye” shades. As for a background, you have a bunch of natural shades to choose from. During the Day: You can go for seasoned brown with orange patterns. It looks so nostalgic, the eyes can’t resist admiring! The brownespecially the lighter shadesrepresents a seasoned tree trunk while the orange stands for a signature colour of autumn. Memories conjure up effortlessly and one can “visually hear” the rustling of leaves against the ground! In The Night: For the night you can go for pinks
Volume 7 | Issue 4
and golden undertones set against orange- not exactly very bright but a few notches up the muted shade. The idea is to allow the eloquent colours to peep out charmingly behind the autumn backdrop- as if waiting for spring! But avoid sharp contrast. Small and crisp floral patterns look just fine and monotony doesn’t hurt here but a balanced medley of same colour family or patterns would look great.
2 more cents that you may use As for the patterns you can go for wrinkled, crumbled background with sharp and clear motifs. Simplicity is the key to follow. Any pattern that looks nostalgic would do!

How to Avoid Becoming Your Crush’s Rakhi-Brother!
T
By Rupak Chatterjee
he day redblooded men in all corners of India dread is finally here.
The problem isn’t choosing the perfect gift for a sister
they adore. Rather, it’s how to prevent “the one” from becoming a rakhi-sister. Be it schools, colleges, or offices, men everywhere have a crush on at least one woman. She is the person you want to take to the movies. She is the one you want to dance with, Hrithik-style, in a club. She is your companion of choice when it comes to long, romantic drives. Come Rakshabandhan however,
this same woman will tie a red, yellow, or heaven forbid, Spiderman-themed rakhi on your wrist, casually and callously! Women have turned this cherished festival into something of a weapon. The probability of you falling victim to it this Rakshabandhan is the same as PM Modi delivering a new Mann ki Baat on Sunday.
This is where we come in! Here, you will find five fantastic ideas to stop the woman of your dreams from turning into a rakhi-sister:
Run and Hide! The natural human impulse during any disastrous situation is to run and hide so why should rakhi be any different? So when you spot “the one” approaching you, with a deceptively sweet smile and rakhi in tow, RUN!
adesiflava.com
This is an incredibly useful trick. In schools and colleges, the rakhi fever sets in a day or two before the actual day, so it’s a good idea to be prepared in advance. No matter how frantically she calls out after you, don’t look back. Yes, it might create a temporary strange impression of you in her mind (“Why is this dude running away from me?”) but it is definitely better than being permanently yoked to her as a brother. Plaster Up
as soon as you got home, turn into the most principled version of yourself. Tell her emphatically that you take such commitments VERY seriously and once the rakhi is on your wrist, it will remain there, come hell or high water. That’s it! Enjoy your victory as she beats a retreat.
This is an incredibly useful trick. In schools and colleges, the rakhi fever sets in a day or two before the actual day, so it’s a good idea to be prepared in advance. You can sweet-talk your nearest doctor into complying with your scheme or bribe him with a bottle of Royal Stag. Just make sure that your entire right arm – from the fingers to the elbow – is closed for business on D-day
Dialogue-Baazi
Then, if she insists on tying the rakhi on your left wrist, mutter some balderdash about it being considered as the harbinger of bad luck where you come from.
“My Sister is SuperPossessive” Now, it’s time to pull out the big guns. Just like boyfriends and girlfriends and husbands and wives, sisters can be possessive too. Convince your would-be rakhi-sister how super-possessive your real one is. If she tries to argue that you could just let her tie the rakhi now and remove it

This, we recommend only to those who have swag to spare. There is a type of boy who can pull off badass film dialogues like they were written for him and not some screen God. This is a sure-shot way to impress a girl and at the same time convey, in no uncertain terms, exactly what sort of rishta you are interested in. For example, if she asks you whether you would be her rakhi-brother, ask her this in return: “If I brought a mangalsutra tomorrow, would you be willing to marry me? I have very strong feelings for you but not of the sibling variety.” If this doesn’t leave her floored, we don’t know what will! But remember, it’s ALL in the delivery. Any one of these tricks should be enough to keep you out of the brozone, unless your luck is really rotten. And since practice makes perfect, we say you give them a whirl before the big day!
We spoke to 5 interesting people of Hong Kong who shared their humorous Rakshabandhan stories:
Paresh Nyati, Tung Chung
The burdened Raksha-bandhan Gift Teenage is a delicate phase. Puberty, exposure to the college life, expectations from parents, handling generation gap, fantasies and what not. Once you are around 18 years old you also have an additional pressure of being a legal adult. And in the midst of this rebel phase and turmoil in life, a newly turned man is hoping to find the love of his life. Guess who are the best people to help is this situation? Your friends of course. So I had this loving dear friend Natasha. We lived in the same locality since childhood and grew up together. She was my Rakhi sister and we used to celebrate the festival every year as I didn’t have a real sister. Natasha's uncle had married a British lady and their whole family was visiting them. They had a gorgeous daughter, about my age – Nicole. We met and clicked instantly. We shared quite a lot of interests like dance music and hiking. She was very pretty and nice blue eyes which I loved to stare into. We

both were talkative creatures and would keep chatting about everything under the sun for hours almost every day. We used to lose track of time and often ended up saying reluctant goodbyes for the day. I was so thankful to Natasha for getting Nicole in my life. It was the month of August, and friendship's day was just around the corner. I got the prettiest band for Nicole and a nice gift too. On Saturday night Nicole called up to inform me, she went out with Natasha to buy a band for me. I was delighted and on top of the world. On Sunday I was super excited, all decked up and went to meet Nicole. Natasha and Nicole were happy to see me. To my horror, I saw her getting the RAKHI for me. She said "I wanted to tie this band type thing to you too just like Natasha did every year, you are so sweet. I wanted to do it today as I am flying back to London tomorrow". Idiot me, didn’t realize that Raksha-bandhan was just in couple of days. So now I had 2 Rakhi sisters and my friendship day's gift got converted into an unfortunate Rakshabandhan gift.
Jitendra Kotai, Tung Chung
It was the beginning of a new academic year in school. We had just moved to Ninth Standard. Puberty was

just kicking in and we had finally begun to understand the gender dynamics. I had also shifted from being the studious boy to being a naughty mischief maker. My neatly combed hair had become disheveled. My neatly tucked in shirt had become unevenly tucked in. There was a newly found confidence that I had started flaunting around. She was new to the school. Her name was Shreya Bhatnagar. As soon as I would see her anywhere; my heart would start thumping loudly and I would stand there mesmerized by her presence. Even during a class; I usually turned by head in her direction umpteen numbers of times. Anyone else would have got a neck sprain. But I kept staring at her endlessly. My fascination grew on a daily basis and now she had started noticing it. My friends had started making fun of it. They would laugh loudly whenever she walked past me. I tried to

speak to her on a couple of occasions. My modus operandi was asking her if a

beautiful looking pen I was holding belonged to her and if she said No; I would tell her to keep it and add that it would look beautiful in her hands. It was sadly short lived. Me and my buddies were standing outside school and behaving like hooligans. She walked up to me and smiled. She took my hand in her hand and with great love she tied a rakhi on my hand. That shocking moment ensured that I am still scared of staring at pretty women. My name is Faiz and I live in Tseung Kwan O. When I was in school I befriended this ravishingly beautiful Indian girl, who immediately took my breath away. Violins played, and flowers bloomed, and I was in love! The world
seemed so beautiful and perfect. I would steal glances at her and wished that we could slow dance in the rain. My heart skipped a beat every time I was in her company and she seemed like the sole reason for my existence, good old puppy love! đ&#x;˜ŠExcuses to be by her side became my thing and I would constantly pat my back for being that “specialâ€? friend. Little did I know that there was a completely different story in store for me. We started spending a lot of time together and I became her confidant as well. It was almost as if the universe was conspiring to bring us together. I could see envy in the eyes of my friends and peers and it gave me immense pleasure, I was the king of the world! I had sweeped the best-looking girl in the school of her feet and I was a player man, a player! It’s always good to have foresight and so I started planning ahead. Marriage was definitely on the cards as far as I was concerned, and I felt that two children would be sufficient. However, if she wanted a third one it could be strongly considered. All I needed to do now was confess my love and then we’d be on our way. Everything would fall into place almost immediately. I mustered the courage to go up to her one day and just as I was about to go down on my knees, she pulled out a purple rakhi (I remember the God damn color to this day) from her pocket. She
Volume 7 | Issue 4
looked me straight in the eye, held my hand and in a very sincere tone expressed her sisterly love for me, of course completely oblivious to the fact that she had ruthlessly destroyed the beautiful kingdom of love that I had so meticulously built in the past few weeks. From that day on the festival of Rakhi, which featured as No 5 on my list of favorite festivals dipped to No 10. “My case was the other way round. There was girl in the neighborhood with whom I

was quite friendly. We often used be together with friends at socials. I used to adore her wit and would really enjoy her company. However, It seems I send wrong signals. She would tell her friends about me... how charming and lovable I was. That I had a romantic smile and my lips were so cute. The news reached my ears. My God!!!. I had no such feelings, yet I did not want her to live with a myth. Raakhi was approaching. A brilliant idea struck me. On rakhi, I walked into her house armed with a Raaki. Her brothers and the family welcomed me. She then had no escape route. I became her rakhi brother !!! Even now, we are facebook friends.. just friends

EXPLICIT KNOWLEDGE
TACIT KNOWLEDGE
Tacit Knowledge We know more than we can tell
By Jitendra Bhojwani
O
ne of the essential managerial terms that are gaining a wide popularity in management training field is Tacit Knowledge Sharing. While the term is already popular in the management
field, it would only be appropriate to start our topic with a brief explanation for the sake of formatting it properly.
What is Tacit Knowledge? Tacit knowledge is a form of knowledge that does not have a specific or standard written/verbal format in which it can be transferred to an individual. For example, you can tell that adding 250 ml of water to a bowl of wheat flour will be enough to
knead it into the dough. This is the explicit knowledge. However you cannot "explain" in standard words about the force to be applied, movement of wrist and fingers and the exact amount of time needed to knead the dough. That is the tacit part of knowledge and it is best left to the individual to learn by themselves in general cases (mostly through hit and try approach). For specific knowledge like learning people management skills to some specific coach,
mentor or trainer is required to impart the knowledge.
Some tacit knowledge examples There is no book or any form of explicit structured knowledge that can teach a person how to ride a bicycle hit a ball to score maximum sixes, play the piano or acquire communication skills. Such information can only be gained via tacit knowledge approach.
adesiflava.com
It was Michael Polanyi who first coined the word tacit knowledge in the year 1958. Interestingly he was taciturn while explaining this knowledge "We know more than we can tell" is the statement he used for explaining tacit knowledge. When we talk about the Tacit Knowledge sharing there are several advantages and disadvantages of the same. We will start with the advantages and then explore the limitations of tacit knowledge that can also be counted as disadvantages.
Advantages of tacit knowledge sharing An individual can understand and retain maximum amount of information

A workplace is regarded as one of the best places where one can learn many new things that not only help him in his honing the core professional skills but also allow him to develop the interpersonal skills. It is the complex relationship between interpersonal and professional skills that ultimately helps a person to prove him to be an important asset for the organization. According to a study, it is believed that 2/3rds of the information are received via tacit knowledge sharing during informal conversations, mentoring talks, story sharing and internships. It is not just a theoretical establishment but is also proven by the

The open and democratic work environment offers the best opportunity to exchange the ideas in the personal manner or tacit knowledge sharing that in turn offers cutting-edge skills to the employees of such organizations. It is not possible for every employee to remember the entire knowledge shared at the workplace
and how much of the shared knowledge is ultimately understood and retained plays a vital role in establishing the individual's worth. And the information is best understood and retained with the help of tacit knowledge sharing skills!
Extracting real life benefits The individual acquires a decent part of the tacit knowledge via his or her own

experiences that equip him/ her with the required skills to extract real-life benefits out of the same or use the knowledge in the desired manner to solve the real-life situations. For example, a guide to cricket rules can help a person to know what a six is and how to decide when you really need one. That is an explicit knowledge. However, it cannot teach a person to apply the right kind of force and move the bat in just the right direction before hitting it- in order to hit a six! It is a tacit knowledge that cannot be transferred explicitly. Understandably, it is this (and similar instances of) tacit intelligence that prepares the successful batsmen that can play a game-changing role in any match.
adesiflava.com
Hence there is the need for the coach with the best tacit knowledge sharing skills that prepares a batsman with the help of repeated practices, correcting their postures and movements and also preparing them via many instances of net practices. So, we see that while explicit knowledge can offer the introductory part of any knowledge, ultimately it is the tacit knowledge sharing that makes a person fit to apply that knowledge in the desired manner during real-life experiences.
Manipulating the knowledge to get best benefits Another major advantage of tacit knowledge sharing is that it allows a person to understand the different aspects of the knowledge
and use it flexible to gain the desired results. For example, in order to hit maximum sixes, the person cannot always use the same force or movements. The movement and force depend upon the speed of the ball, pitch conditions, the way the ball is thrown (spinning etc.). Here we see that the batsman is able to "manipulate the knowledge" in multiple ways to ascertain the best benefit irrespective of the varying conditions. This quality can only be gained via tacit knowledge sharing.
Open ended knowledge One of the major advantages of tacit knowledge is that due to its informal structure it is an openly ended knowledge
Volume 7 | Issue 4
that allows and encourages a person to continue the process of learning and developing. There isn't a boundary that defines the limits of tacit knowledge and that is the real beauty of this knowledge. That is why we can see that in many cases the influential managers, mentors, businessperson, artists, and sportsmen keep on developing ahead even years after they formally learned a skill or studied their field. The reason is the open-ended structure offered by the tacit knowledge that allows them to continue learning and development. Here again, we can use the example of the batsman stated in the above example, the successful street batsman is turned into a prating state batsman and then shines as a national batsman with a great success. However, there is a curve involved in
adesiflava.com

31
Thus it has twin advantages of limiting a businesses' ability to measure and compete with other players of the field and secondly compelling them to practice the unethical measures to gain an advantage over the competitor.
this whole process and it is the open-ended structure of tacit knowledge that allows a batsman to acquire succession different levels by continuously fine-tuning his skills.
Disadvantages of tacit Knowledge sharing Apart from several advantages there are some disadvantages of tacit knowledge sharing too. Here are a few of them: No uniform established form of formal transferring One of the major disadvantages of tacit knowledge sharing is that there is no established method or manner in which one can note down this knowledge or transfer it from one entity to the other in its real original
form and impact. Hence in terms of a workplace, the tacit knowledge cannot be handed over by the successful employee when he leaves or retires. So the tacit knowledge (in its original form) is gone with the employee when e leaves a company. Ironically it is this tacit knowledge sharing that produces a huge number of other successful employees but due to its inexplicit form, there is no way this key asset can be retained by a company in a definite manner. That is why many corporate houses or successful businesses fail when the influential Coos or key personnel retire or leave the company. Interferes with healthy competition The competition is a part and parcel of the corporate sector that pushes a business
to do better than their competitors. So, many of the aspects of competitors' business are deeply studied and the effective measured steps are taken to ensure better performance on those fronts. However, due to the nature of the tacit knowledge another company cannot replicate or outpace the advantages gained by their competitors that act as a boundary for the healthy competition. Besides it is one of the major reasons that might also compel some businesses to lean towards unethical ways to gain a cutting edge over tear competitors by trying to "snatch" the tacit knowledge (or key personnel’s) of their competitors using the greed factor that can be presented in terms of higher packages, better career growth or more powers with an improved title.
Can be used to mislead by clever individuals Another major disadvantage of the tacit knowledge is tam, unlike explicit knowledge it cannot be "measured" using the specific yardsticks. Hence, in many cases, it is possible that the professional claiming to specialize in a certain form of the tacit knowledge may not have that expertise. Such professionals might "gloss over their shortcomings with the help of clever tricks. We can see that while there are a number of the excellent mentor who can produce otherworld class results with their lectures and training sessions, there are many others who claim to be mentors but lack the key skills. However due to the clever "cosmetic makeup" of associated skills like communication skills, body language and personal traits they "appear" genuine. Likewise, there are many artists who really don't have the best talent or skills but it is due to their deceiving yet impressive presentation skills that they gain a public support and earn a handsome amount.

Don't worry ask Aunty Each issue, we invite readers to send us questions under anonymity about personal dynamics and relations. Here are 4 selected questions from those recently sent to us:
Aunty Poonam
Question 1: Hello Aunty, my name is Rekha and a resident of HK, I am 34 Years old. I have been following your tips very closely with the magazine and very happy to know you are back with them so sending the email to the team of Adesiflava hoping it reaches you . I am going through a rough patch in my life right now. I am expecting my second child but in-laws seem to be ignoring the fact that I might have mood swings so any single stupidest mistake is becoming a mountain of problems from their side
which in turn is affecting me psychologically . I don’t know how to cope up with this neither my husband who is otherwise fine with me is not willing to listen . I have also tried to move to my parents house in India but there also the in-laws are trying to get me back to HK with their weird reasons. please help how to deal with this situation.
Answer 1 Dear Rekha It is pleasing to know that my tips are valuable. Thank you. It is natural for a woman to go through mood swings during the pregnancy, your family should be aware that every woman goes through physical and emotional challenges throughout prenatal and
postnatal period. Right now you ought to be surrounded by caring and loving people. Please reason out with your husband about your feelings as well as with your in laws. If your feelings at this time are neglected it will effect the child. Request them to allow you to stay with your parents until the baby arrives as it in the best interest of the mother and child. All you need is their cooperation and understanding of your thoughts. I believe in power of prayers. Pray for yourself and your in laws too. There is no better counsellor than the Lord who will direct them to think wisely and lovingly. Best wishes.
Question 2: Hello Aunty Poonam , my name is Sujata ,I am a resident of mid levels Hk. I read about your column in the magazine long back and was happy to know that you are again back when their team got in touch with me, so that is why writing to you hoping you might have a solution for me. I am writing to you on behalf of my Nepali helper as she is not educated. Aunty would request you to help her or guide her in this situation. Her story goes like this, (Ganga ) came to Hk thru work visa from Nepal many years back and year after year with her work she proved to be a good worker, however she met a Nepali guy and had a live in relationship with him for

many years. The guy was working only on temporary basis hence marriage was never on the cards . However as time passed by my helper gave birth to a baby boy but being the unemployed youth her boyfreind refused to own it up neither get married to her. However in the meantime he got married to another girl and dumped my helper with the child. Occasionally he would visit the child and give some small pocket money to my helper also this went on for 5 years and now my helpers boyfriend wants to come back to her life and get married as the lady he married earlier ran away with someone else . Although the guy has already processed the divorce papers with the girl he married but now he wants to own it up and get married to my helper . Now she is in a fix whether to accept him back or to shove him away as he did to her. kindly suggest the best ways aunty so that I can help the poor lady who has been serving my family so well .thanks and regards
Answer 2 Dear Sujata. What happened to your helper is very unfortunate. Your concern for Ganga and your action to help her is very much appreciated. It appears her boy friend is not stable in his relationship he may be clinging to her now because he has been dejected by other woman. I hope it is not on the

rebound. Life is much more than just dumping people as it pleases oneself. Ganga has done her best and should feel proud and free to move on with her life. It’s a good time to regroup her thoughts and work to love and care for herself, instead of wasting her love and time on people who don't appreciate her for what she is capable of bringing to a relationship. So far she has raised her child with love and care. In retrospect, Ganga should assess her own feelings for him. Has she forgiven him and will she be able to trust him rest of her life? She needs to find out what is his motivation? If there is a clear understanding between them both and she is comfortable being with him then she should go ahead. Final decision is hers. If they reconcile the child will be very privileged to be raised by both parents.
Question 3: Namastey Aunty , I hope this question reaches your desk this time so that u can help me in my life . I am Rashmi (name changed) a resident of Hk .I am 25 years old unmarried working girl . I am very soft sensitive person and always willing to help people .However, for the past 6 months suddenly some depression pangs hit me very severely which is leading to profuse palpitations that are beyond my control . Also some uncanny sensations around me and makes me feel

very insecure and I want to hide behind a pillow till the feeling subsides. I have undergone therapies and experts and although it has had been some help but that is only temporary , I myself am not aware why it is affecting me have also changed my residence but somehow the fear is still there inside which is driving me insane . can u please suggest remedies for this .
parents live in india and due to some misunderstanding have stopped talking to me over the years . but for my special moment I definitely wish to have them here . they have boycotted me from the family and now I dnt know how to deal with this I want my parents to know about the marriage before , can u pls help me how I can reach out to them ..thanks
Answer 3
Answer 4
You are experiencing internal insecurity leading to depressive and anxious feelings. Look into your thoughts pattern and do not dwell on any irrational thoughts. Talk to family members and close friends too. Continue good counselling and follow treatment plan. Many people overcame through good guidance and selfcooperation. You too will overcome. Go for full medical checkup, this sudden disruption in your life could also be due to hormone disorder. Since you say you have undergone various therapies with professionals. I suggest change your diet, In addition, meditation or yoga can help too.
Dear Pooja I understand your desire to inform your parents of the joy for marrying a man of your choice. In spite, of their attitude towards you, blocking each other is not a good solution. Reconciliation and accepting each other’s shortcoming will restore relationship into strong establishments. It appears you still love them and you want them to rejoice in your decision and receive their blessings. On the other hand even if they have disowned you for years they are still your parents somewhere deep down they may be yearning to patch with you therefore, be bold to inform them and request them to grace the occasion and bless you both. If they respond that would be your good fortune. If they don’t at least you will not feel guilty. You can then freely go ahead with your wedding plans Best wishes
Question 4: Hello Poonam Aunty, happy to have you back again , my name is pooja and have been staying here in Hk for the last 5 years . i am in a relationship and wish to get married to the person very soon . However, as my

JULY 2018 Cancer: maybe you need By Munisha Khatwani
Aries: looking for
something new is going to be your priority this month, says your planet Mars. You will be quite energetic and forthcoming about so many other avenues in your life. Your planet Sun is pretty strong this month which will help you out professionally. You will try and connect with an ex- flame and seems you may have to try a bit harder to get a positive response.
Taurus: you need to
confide in a friend and trust that the universe does support you in whatever you are trying to achieve, says your planet Moon. You need to learn to trust in people who matter to you and who have got a space in your life says your planet Mars. On the professional front, life will be a bit of a struggle as you plan to make some changes which will not be as easy as you hope.
Gemini: what is planned
according to the divine timing cannot be altered and it’s best that you land up accepting that. You would be feeling a little upset about certain aspects in your life and it is time for you to make amends as required. You will also be feeling a little dejected as far as some health matters are concerned, your planet Saturn says. The Science of Crystal Healing There is no limit to the possibilities of the influence of crystals on all energy forms.
By Maa Amrit Leela
Crystals are a tool for natural healing which can be used by health practitioners to accelerate their own methods. The human body is a series of energy systems. Crystals are devices for adjusting and balancing these systems. Energy changes were recorded through the process of high energy physics photography, sometimes called kirlian photography. Even blood platelet changes were photographed under a microscope after a Crystal Healing. The essence of the body is energy. Crystals function as transformers and amplifiers of various energies into biological energies that rebalance and re-energize our biological system in the cellular level, as well as in our emotional, mental, and spiritual levels. The premises
on which this biological transfer of energy is based is that the body is a series of synchronous, oscillating, solid and liquid Crystal systems to which our crystal healing techniques are able to transfer energy directly, as from one crystal to another. This transfer of energy aids the system in attaining a certain functional strength in which it can regenerate and balance itself and then maintain the balance. On the emotional and mental levels, crystals linked with our own thought forms have the ability to amplify through energy in a way that harmonizes our emotional and mental states and release stored negative thought forms. Crystal healers uses the analogy of a computer mind which can be cleared of non- functional programs and reprogrammed when a strong enough new thought form is created. The significance of Crystal in this process is that when they are appropriately linked with the mind, they can amplify emotional and thought form energy in a way
which has the power to quite easily create new and healthy programs. The crystals actually amplify our ability to visualize. This is a major way or type of language that can communicate with and rescript our computer mind.
we know a little more and the picture clears slightly. The possibilities are infinite. From ancient times three ways were declared to attain Nirvana Mantra, Yantra and Tantra crystals come in the category of Yantra.
From this entire pattern has emerged, a map of the process of healing and human consciousness. We do not understand it all, but each day
We urge you to join us in the greatest journey of your life, the journey to your inner self, through the doorway of the crystals.
