PROJECT DESCRIPTION Project Name: The Sothearos Apartment Project Year: 2017 - present Project Type: Team project Project Status: Development Drawing, not yet built Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia Total Site Area: 2,180.13 sqm Total Storeys: 53 storeys Project Involvement: Ÿ Designing and detailing all the staircases and ramps in the building Ÿ Designing and detailing the helipad Ÿ Revising the floor plans, sections, and elevations
The Sothearos Apartment project is a design-andbuild project of a 53-story apartment which is located in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. In this project, my design team collaborates with structural engineers, firefighting engineers, and MEP engineers from China and Cambodia. Thus, we regularly held meetings via conference calls due to the distance. My involvement in this project is mainly in designing and drawing the service facilities, such as staircases, ramps, and helipad.

COLLIN’S® Sky Bar · Dining - Canopies project is a proposed design project of three canopies set to be located in The Bridge Lifestyle Mall, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. My involvement is this project is designing the entire design process under the supervision of the principal architect. This project was being finished only until the stage of proposal submission to the manager of the bar.

Shihlin Outlet - AEON Mall Sen Sok City is an internationally well-known food franchise kiosk project which is located in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. This kiosk is the first Shihlin kiosk in Cambodia. The franchise which is commonly known as Shihlin Taiwan Street Snack has been spread with hundreds of outlets in seven countries in the world, such as Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Egypt, and USA.

As a junior architect in the construction company I worked for, I conducted the entire design process under the supervision of the principal architect. The design process began at the beginning of 2020 and finished on December 2020 with the output of the as-built drawings and the completely built kiosk itself. This project has been successfully completed and the kiosk has been operated since December 2020.

Shihlin Outlet - Eden Garden is an internationally well-known food franchise kiosk project which is located in a community mall in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, known as Eden Garden. This kiosk is the first Shihlin outdoor kiosk in Cambodia. It has been operated since a few days after the grand opening of the Shihlin store in AEON Mall Sen Sok City.

The Waterfront - Community Mall project is a design-and-build project of a three-story community mall. It is considered as a team project. The team consists of my team (design team) with structural engineer team and MEP engineer team from Indonesia. The project is currently in the stage of construction.

RF Apartment Unit project is an interior design project that I was trusted by my employer to handle. This project started in December 2020, exactly a few days before my last day of work in the company I worked for; therefore I conducted this project only until the proposal stage. In this project, I combined the Scandinavian style and industrial style by the ratio of 80:20 respectively. The clean simplicity of the entire room demonstrates the Scandinavian style, and the railing beside the bed, created with iron hollow and wire mesh, demonstrates the Industrial style. The apartment unit consists of a main room and a bathroom. Since the total area of the main room is too small, I decided to merge the bed, storage, drawers, and foldable dining table. The storage is underneath the bed, the drawers are in the right of the bed, and the dining table is in the left side of the bed. Behind the bed cushion and beside the television, I set mirrors to make the room look higher and wider.

Portfolio is a collection of works of an architect, artist, designer, etc., arranged in order to show his/her works to the reviewers. As a person who has contributed to architectural works, I collected my documented works in this portfolio. It includes the architectural works that I have ever contributed to since I worked as a junior architect in a construction company based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from 2019 until 2020. These works prove that I have experienced several international architectural projects that influenced me to become more passionate about being a professional architect in the future. Within two years, I have been in charge of numerous architectural projects. However, I only documented six of them that I think are the most influential and notable for me. I hope this portfolio will be useful either academically or non-academically for anyone who reads it. I also hope that it will keep motivating me to become a better architect.
