LAWASIA LAWASIA is an international organization of lawyer’s associations, individual lawyers, judges, legal academics and others that focus on the interests and concerns of the legal profession in the Asia Pacific Region.
MOOTING Mooting offers a systematic training process of the essential skills of a problem solving, legal analysis, drafting legal submissions and the development of public speaking. The LAWASIA International Moot Competition provides this educational learning experiences in an internal environment “ friendships are formed amongst students, relationships forged between participating law schools and useful contacts made by the stakeholders.”

9th LAWASIA International Moot 2014 The 9th LAWASIA International Moot was held in Bangkok, Thailand between the 2nd of October 2014 to the 6th of October 2014. Ten teams from eight jurisdictions competed for the champion trophy during the competition which is hosted by Chulalongkorn University of Thailand.

L AWA S I A CH AMPION TEAM - SIN GA P O R E MANAGEMENT U NIVER SITY The LAWASIA trophy symbolizes the support of LAWASIA in his efforts to promote mooting among law students in the region. The LAWASIA Champion Team is the team which emerges as the winner in the Finals of the Oral Rounds of the LAWASIA Moot Competition.
M A H WE N G KWAI TROPH Y F OR BES T M O O TER - Moh ammad Mu zh affar bin Omar (SMU ) The Best Mooter Trophy is named after Mah Weng Kwai, a past president of LAWASIA in recognition of his commitment to mooting and raising the standards of the LAWASIA International Moot competition to what you have witnessed at this Conference. The Best Mooter Trophy is awarded to the mooter who best demonstrates the above qualities. In arriving at its decision, the Committee not only took the scores of the individual mooters into account but also the views and comments made by the Moot Judges .
