WHAT IS A TENSEGRITY STRUCTURE ?
The characteristic property of a stable three-dimensional structure consisting of members under tension that are contiguous and members under compression that are not.
WHY TENSEGRITY ?
Because of these patterns, no structural member experiences a bending moment. This can produce exceptionally rigid structures for their mass and for the cross section of the components.

PURPOSE OF DESIGN
BASKET Implementing the basic concepts I have learnt over the past few days , a three strut structure which seems simple but isn’t all that easy and it intrigued me the most. With the need of a simple basket at my end to place my unfolded/dirty laundry or hang a few scarves and earrings when you feel lazy to pack things up. The simple looping of a thread around the structure makes up for the simplicity and definitly adds on to the functionality.

PURPOSE OF DESIGN
LAP DESK As someone who prefers to sit on a bed instead of a table even when I have work, one of the main items of furniture I own is a lap desk. Since mine has to rest on my lap it can often get uncomfortable therefore I wanted to create one where it can stand on its own and when not used at a table it can used next to my bed to keep my glasses and my phone.
