WOMOVE SOLUTION 01: WOMOVE Application The first part is the Journey Planner App for women who can access the digital platform through their smartphones. It will facilitate understanding of their closest amenities, mode choice, route which can inform their priorities such as comfort, convenience and safety to enable them to have an informed decision wrt to their trips. The app will facilitate the creation of an integrated data collection & assessment platform that will distinctively incorporate gender desegregated datasets, which are rarely collected in the present scenarios. Journey planner for women with mapping interface for easy navigation, Integrated information flow for NMT, IPT and PT (Real-time), Finding the closest amenities nearby. User dashboard - Travel History, most frequent routes, finding friends nearby, etc. Informed decisions on mode-choice based on parameters related to safety, security and comfort provided by the app. The users can also give feedback on that particular route taken/ amenity they have used to iterate the rating of that area. Green Features: Give calorie burn for walking/cycle, carbon emission saved by using cycle, walking, auto, bus, metro. Additional benefits: reward points on reducing carbon footprint based on the chosen mode of transport, discounted rides coupons, commuters who prefer emobility, travel off-peak hours during weekdays. SOLUTION 02: Legible Maps The second part of the idea is the installation of an info map based panel with paperbased/digital display services at transit stations and other strategic locations in the city to ensure safe, comfortable & affordable trips for women who don't have access to smartphones.
