CHAMBER BUSINESS EXPO “Let’s Make a Deal” The upcoming Annual Business EXPO is a way for the Franklin County Chamber in taking their business to a higher level. This year’s 26th Annual Business EXPO, & Marketplace is a perfect example of showcasing member’s products and services. Chairman Kip Commons commented our annual theme this year is “Let’s Make a Deal” from the Let’s Make a Deal Game show. Reserve your booth today and invite everyone you know to attend. Those attending will have the opportunity to take advantage of the great deals offered by participating exhibitors to expand their customer base. Starting at 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday April 5th there will be three hours of powerful networking! The doors will open for business at 104 Monterey Station in Cowan at 4:30 p.m. Chairman Kip Commons Manager at Walmart and Co-chair Josh Cole Marketing Director of Franklin Farmers’ Cooperative are planning for the 26th Annual Business Exposition showcasing the many vibrant businesses in our community. The Business EXPO provides a premier venue to make quality contacts for businesses and consumers. Due to limited space only 84 indoor booths are available and 32 vendor spaces are already sold! Call today to register your business or industry for the Franklin County Business EXPO and Marketplace. Exhibitor’s booths will be judged at 2:30 p.m. to recognize the most creative booths. A five-dollar entry ticket provides those attending an opportunity to be eligible to win over 100 door prizes and main door prize. Physician PhysicianSpotlight Spotlight Russ Spray Named CEO of Southern Tennessee Regional Health System Winchester‐Sewanee Veteran leader returns to hospital and community to take on permanent leadership role. Tennessee Regional Health System Winchester‐Sewanee (STRHS Winchester‐Sewanee) today announced that William R. (Russ) Spray has been named chief execu ve officer (CEO), a role he previously held from 1999 to 2008. He has served as the hospital’s interim CEO since November 2017. “From his organiza onal leadership skills and infec ous enthusiasm to his commitment to ensuring high‐quality care, Russ has proven to be a vital asset to STRHS Winchester‐ Sewanee and its community,” said Cherie Sibley, chief opera ng officer (COO) of LifePoint Health’s Central Group. “We are thrilled to welcome him back to Winchester. His history here and love for this region combined with his tremendous depth of healthcare experience make him the ideal person to lead the hospital into the future.” With nearly 40 years of healthcare experience, Spray is well‐versed in hospital opera ons, including physician recruitment and reten on, community rela ons, and quality and pa ent safety. During his first tenure as CEO of STRHS Winchester‐Sewanee he ini ated a major hospital and medical office building expansion, developed an abundance of new services for the community, and recruited an excep onal team of physicians to serve on the medical staff. Following his years of service at STRHS Winchester‐Sewanee and prior to his start as interim CEO in November, Spray served as CEO of Lincoln County Health System in Faye eville, Tennessee, where he brought the county‐owned health system to its most profitable fiscal year in a decade, increased cardiology coverage, and established a hospitalist program. He went on to serve as CEO of Harton Regional Medical Center, a 135‐bed facility in Tullahoma, Tennessee. “Not only is Russ a dynamic leader with a passion for quality care, he is a devoted champion for and friend of the Winchester community,” said Eric Hartman, chairman of the STRHS board of directors. “We look forward to working with him to explore new ways that STRHS Winchester‐Sewanee and the en re STRHS network can enhance the many ways we work to achieve our vital mission of Making Communi es Healthier.” Spray earned a Master of Business Administra on degree, with an emphasis on Healthcare Administra on, from Southeastern Ins tute of Technology in Huntsville, Alabama and a bachelor’s degree in business administra on from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee. He also completed the Health Services Administrator Development Program at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama. “I know from experience that STRHS Winchester‐Sewanee is a phenomenal hospital, and I am delighted to return to the STRHS family,” said Spray. “I look forward to further strengthening exis ng rela onships and fostering new ones with the incredible physicians and staff here to improve the health of our region.
