Farewell and welcome! Every year we must bid farewell to board members completing three year terms. This year Rob Followell, Dave Loschinskey, Steven Moran, Stephanie Ogle and Pam Peck are retiring from the board. Joining the board of directors for a three year term are: Mike Bowden, Daryl Doney, Brian Sullivan, Cliff Wilson, Holly Cortner, Penny Morris and Sandra Thomas.

Physician Spotlight Southern Tennessee Regional Health System officials announce the addition of Rose A. Adams to the leadership team. Ms. Adams has been named Administrator of Southern Tennessee Regional Health System Sewanee. Ms. Adams received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee with a double major in Business Management and Marketing and later her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in healthcare management for the same university. Ms. Adams’ healthcare experience began as director of physician outreach and market development at Tennova Healthcare Harton in Tullahoma. During this time her duties included but were not limited to recruiting, retention, acquisition, physician education, and practice management. Ms. Adams led the rollout of electronic medical records for physician, she created a physician leadership council, and collaborated on a hospital presentation that was utilized by the hospital parent company. Ms. Adams’ physician outreach role led to her being named assistant administrator with many additional responsibilities. As the assistant administrator she provided over-site of thirteen departments, recruited twelve physicians, negotiated contracts, worked with acquisitions, analyzed data and market condition for growth and development opportunities as well as data to identify cost efficiencies. She worked closely with the chief executive office to ensure the hospital met necessary regulatory, compliance approvals, and quality accreditations. Ms. Adams began her role as administrator of Southern Tennessee Regional Health System Sewanee in November.
