2020 PORSCHE CAYENNE E-Hybrid Elevating The Luxury ExPerience To a New Level

Necessity is the mother of invention. The depleting resources and the constant ever-increasing needs of the consumers have led the automobile companies to focus on renewable or alternate energy resources that do not hamper the performance or the comfort of the user. The Porsche Cayenne e-hybrid is one of the best performing and a substantial step towards eco-friendly automobiles. The time in quarantine has aided us with a lot of time to introspect and reflect on our actions and perceptions. The novel coronavirus has forced us to see things that we neglected or ignored previously. Transportation is one of the most prominent degraders of the environment has prompted the world to save our planet before it is too late. The automobile industry has shifted its gears in the right direction with incorporating electric and other less harmful alternates over fuel. Since the first car ever made in 1886, the world of cars and automobiles has undergone a rigorous make-over. Over the span of two centuries, from the most basic vehicles to smart and supercars - there’s something for every need and requirement. Porsche is one of the most renowned luxury cars manufactures. To say they have been keen on technological advancement and luxury might be an understatement. They were the first car company to initiate in the world of hybrid cars and models that struck the right balance between performance as well as luxury. The first hybrid car (a vehicle that uses two or more distinct types of power,

such as submarines that use diesel when surfaced and batteries when submerged) was designed and produced by the founder of Porsche, Ferdinand Porsche in 1900-1905 and was known as the Lohner-Porsche Mixed Hybrid. This was only the beginning of an era that would change the automobile industry forever. Almost every luxury automobile company starting hopping on the same bandwagon, from regular cars to sports cars companies created their versions of the technology. One of the proud addition to the automobile line-up of Porsche is the motorsport SUVs with a plugin e-hybrid to elevate the perception of performance and luxury. EXCEEDING THE BENCHMARK The 2019 Porsche Cayenne e-hybrid and Porsche Cayenne Turbo S e-hybrid set a benchmark for the Porsche cars in regards to design, efficiency, performance and comfort. Kick-starting the new decade with a new version of the Cayenne the ridiculously powerful 541-hp seemed to now be the beta dog. The 2020 versions skip the 335hp turbocharged 3.0-litre V-6 for a better 4.0-litre V-8 while the Turbo S hybrid uses the 541-hp twin-turbo V-8. Ripping to 0 mph in mere 3.2 seconds, this beast of a car covers a quarter-mile time of 11.5 seconds at 121 mph, crowning itself to be the quickest SUV in comparison with Lamborghini Urus, Tesla Model X and Mercedes-Benz GLC63 S Coupe.
