The Born Again Possesses the DNA of God visit www.adonaimag.tv for more articles
any people are trying to change themselves from within. They want to stop smoking. They promise to stop being abusive. They vow not to cuss anymore. But even with the sincerest of intentions, their self-efforts amount to little more than behavior modification. Once again, the long-lasting results that they so deeply desire have eluded them. And they wonder why they keep ending up in the same place with the same outcome…. Friend, you’ve got to be born again! You must be saved! Second Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” When you accept Christ, you receive a nature of righteousness. Your new spirit nature is so pure that God Himself can move in. In fact, it is the only part of you where He can live. As a bornagain Christian, you are imparted with the true nature of God. You actually take on God’s DNA. “And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness” (Ephesians 4:24, Amplified Bible).
M
What is more, at the moment you become saved, your spirit is sealed to preserve your righteousness and to prevent sin from ever entering in (Ephesians 1:13). This reminds me of my mom and how she would make jams. She’d seal the freshness in, but at the same time, she was sealing off all contaminants. Likewise, if you do sin after you become born again, your spirit cannot participate, because it has been perfected in righteousness forever by the Holy Ghost. But you must renew your mind. Your soul, or your mind, still contains sin residue from your old nature, the one you had before you got saved. Your way of thinking was trained by your former self. The first thing a person should do after becoming born again is renew his or her mind. This is an ongoing process—one that must be done daily by meditating upon the Word of God! It is also how you 4
w w w. a d o n a i m a g . o r g
effectively put on the new man, which the Bible talks about in Ephesians 4:23, 24: “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” Just think, you possess the divine nature of God! As a Christian, you have 100% God DNA in you! This is not saying you are God. However, when you receive Christ, you receive God’s very own DNA into your spirit. Therefore, you are a partaker of His fullness. And as a new creature in Christ Jesus, God unites Himself with your spirit. First Corinthians 6:17 tells us, “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” How wonderful that is! The instant you become born again, your spirit man and God become one!
Also, through your new nature, which houses God’s DNA, you have the ability to effect real change in your soul. This will eventually show up in your physical body. The result is your natural experience. And for those who have received Christ, the Greater One resides in you. As a result, His greatness can come from within you and come out into your life. Determine to become “God-inside” conscious. Know that God is in you when your enemies are trying to come against you. Know that God is in you when you don’t know what to do. He will whisper the answer to you, because God is in you. Finally, you are the righteousness of God, possessing the DNA of the Almighty in your spirit! Once you begin to realize who you really are, you begin to “do like you really are.” And who you are will produce matching results in your life. This is how you get free of sin, addiction, or anything else that would dare to enslave you. This is how you change your talk, change your walk—CHANGE YOUR LIFE! Want to learn more about how you can unleash the Godgiven power within you? My message, Your Identity in Christ, explains how you can triumph over the enemy every time! Order your copies today!

The name Adonai is translated Lord in the Bible. Adon means, “steward administrator, master, or Lord.” The addition of ai to adon intensifies or elevates its meaning, changing it to mean “the ultimate Lord, the Supreme Lord, or Lord of all.” The vision of Adonai Magazine goes beyond denominational, traditional, ethnic and cultural barriers that are sometimes imposed and have interfered with the Lord’s vision for an international kingdom building.

was on the internet on 02/22/13, when I came across this story about a famous Christian football star who had chosen to withdraw from a speaking arrangement at a Baptist Church in Texas, because they have become “controversial” for preaching what the Bible clearly teaches is deception, perversion, and depravity in sexual conduct and false religion; which has caused them to be branded as a “hate church” by the liberal media. He, therefore, did not want to be identified with them. How sad!
I
My heart sank when I came across this news item, as the Spirit of God took my mind to 2Timothy 3:12, where Apostle Paul, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit wrote that “In fact, everyone who wants to live godly in Christ will suffer persecution” (even as evil and deception become worse and worse) in the last days. Why persecution, one may ask? Jesus answered that question when He said that “Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come to the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed’ – John 3:20. Jesus said that He was hated because He testified that their ways were evil (John 7:7). Our Lord Jesus Christ drew the line in the sand for those who would choose to follow Him by that one statement, to wit, GODLINESS INVITES PERSECUTION. They persecute us so that we would cease from our godly ways to become like them to ease their guilt, and the feelings of sinfulness and condemnation brought about by our godly values, message, and ways. Those who are offended by it, and cannot bear the heat and ridicule that comes with the way of holiness have no business following the Man of the Cross. Not only did Jesus live a life of holiness; but He preached it and came down hard on those who chose evil over godliness, including the religious leaders of His day; referring to them with words like: “brood of vipers”, hypocrites, evil generation, whitewashed tombs full of dead men’s bones, wolves in sheep’s skin”. He even referred to some as 6
w w w. a d o n a i m a g . t v
children of the devil who do the acts their father, the devil and etc. John 8:44. I wonder how the liberal media of our times would have treated Him if Jesus had lived in our times; or how some in the Church would have reacted to His forthrightness and rebukes. Would He have been accused of intolerance and hate speech or what? I guess the answer is obvious. Jesus never shrank from speaking against sin, even though He never hated the sinner. Those sinners who came to Him, He saved and changed from their sinful ways, and admonished them to cease from those sinful ways and walk in righteousness and godliness; to go and sin no more. He did not condone or embolden people to continue in sin in the name of inclusiveness and tolerance. When it comes to spirituality and morality, the Word of God trumps the standards set by carnal minds that are at enmity with God and cannot accommodate the things of God (Romans 8:6-8). In these days, those who dare stand for righteousness and holiness, and boldly speak out about those values, are branded as hate people and hate churches by the media and politicians. What is the response from some of the leaders in the Church; if not fear, compromise in the name of tolerance, and the persecution of their own? Since when did God inspire and empower spiritually bankrupt and carnally-minded men and women who honor and prefer moral corruptions, perversions, and depravities, in speech and conduct, above decency and sanity, to become the salt and light of the earth? Did Jesus not say the Church is the light and salt of the earth (Matthew 5:13-16)? Does the Bible not say “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter” (Isaiah 5:20)? Why then are some in the Church championing the agenda of those who do such things? TO BE CONTINUED

The Good Lord and King
ne of the most common words used in Scripture is the word “lord.” This word does not exist in democracies, socialist societies, or republics, except in the word landlord, in reference to one who owns land. Landlord is the only common remnant of kingdoms in modern governments and Western societies. Yet this concept of lord is one of the fundamental principles of a kingdom. Every kingdom must have a king, but it is also true that every king is automatically a “lord.” It is this quality of lordship that distinguishes a king from a president, a prime minister, a mayor, and a governor. As a matter of fact, a king’s lordship makes him different from any other kind of human leader. Lordship makes a king unique.
O
So what’s the difference between a king and a lord? Lordship is only one aspect of a king’s overall identity and status, but it is one of the most important ones. One way to put it is to say that king relates to dominion, while lord relates to domain. The word dominion refers to a king’s authority—his power; the word domain refers to the territory, the property, the geographical area over which his authority extends. A king exercises authority (dominion) over a specific geographical area (domain) and within that 8
w w w. a d o n a i m a g . t v
area his authority is absolute. It is beneficial for us to understand that Jesus Christ is King and Lord of all. A kingdom ruled by a sovereign, righteous, good, and benevolent king and lord remains the best system of government humanity could ever hope for. A king cannot be voted out of power. The King of Heaven reigns by sovereign right of creation. Human empires have tried and failed and then fallen themselves, as is the destiny of all regimes that challenge His sovereignty. He was King before this world began, and He will still be King after it has passed away. As lord, a king literally and legally owns everything in his domain. If the king owns everything, he can give anything to anyone at any time according to his own sovereign choice. The Bible plainly identifies God as King and Lord of all. With a King who owns everything, how could there be any economic shortages? When we relinquish our sense of ownership and acknowledge God as the Owner and ourselves as stewards, it relieves us of the pressure of having to worry about how we are going to make it because we are now depending on Him for our welfare. And He is a benevolent, good, and generous Lord of infinite resources.

for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. Jer. 1:8
adies and gentlemen there is a good message for you this year and I am honored to be the bearer. This message is from the Lord and it says, “be not afraid of their faces …”
L
Family Members: Are you afraid of threats
Like Jeremiah, anyone who is afraid of doing God’s work, the Lord say, “Be not afraid.” Jeremiah was responding to God’s call from the viewpoint of impossibilities, but the God of possibilities assured him that He would be with him for deliverance and victory. 1. Where God saw someone He had sanctified and ordained from his mother’s womb, Jeremiah saw a young person who was not fluent in speech. 2. Where God saw a Jeremiah whom He had already chosen for greatness among other priests, he himself responded with self-abasement.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6
But thank God who still took the time to encourage Jeremiah with assuring words (Jer. 1:1-11).
from family members? God said, “I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them” Acts 26:17
Priests: Often ministers are afraid of church members and societal reactions to their sermons. If this applies to you, be not discouraged. It happened to Jeremiah, Joshua and others, but God encouraged them, saying: “No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Joshua 1:5 “They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the LORD.” Jeremiah 1:19
The Boss & Coworkers: For those whose bosses or coworkers are giving a hard time, the Lord says, be not afraid of their faces. Read the following scriptures for your benefit: “But the LORD is with me like a mighty warrior; so my persecutors will stumble and not prevail. They will fail and be thoroughly disgraced; their dishonor will never be forgotten.” Jeremiah 20:11 “Do not be afraid of the king of Babylon, whom you now fear. Do not be afraid of him, declares the LORD, for I am with you and will save you and deliver you from his hands.” Jeremiah 42:11 10

“And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them or their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns are all around you and you live among scorpions. Do not be afraid of what they say or terrified by them, though they are a rebellious house.” Ezekiel 2:6
Church Members: Agents of the devil may rise up against you because you love the Lord but God says, “I will make you a wall to this people, a fortified wall of bronze; they will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you to rescue and save you," declares the LORD.” Jeremiah 15:20; 39:1-10; 39:11-14. Discovering the Key to Self-Acceptance visit www.adonaimag.tv for more articles
n today’s society, insecurity and self-rejection have reached an all-time high. More than ever before, so many people simply don’t like themselves. Sadly, Christians are no exception…
I
Over the years, I have met countless people who believe God is angry with them because they haven’t “arrived” at the place of perfection. As a result, they live in a state of perpetual frustration—continually rejecting themselves and feeling bad every time they make a mistake. There’s one thing for sure—Jesus didn’t give His life for us to walk around feeling guilty and condemned. He wants us to feel good about ourselves and our relationship with Him. And it all starts with discovering our true identity in Christ. Are You a Believer or an Achiever? For many years, I tried to please God with my works. It seemed as if I was living on a performance treadmill—always trying to do something to feel good about myself and feel like I was in right standing with Him. In the process, I became weary, worn-out, and unhappy. I would think, Something is just not working. I was right. No matter how much we love God and choose to do what’s right, we will always be frustrated if we don’t learn this one valuable lesson: Ephesians 2:8 (AMP) says, “For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] 12
w w w. a d o n a i m a g . t v
is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving]….” There is nothing we can do to earn our salvation or right standing with God…we have been made right with Him through our faith in Jesus Christ. A believer that is lacking this understanding is like a jumbo jet on the runway with no gasoline—he has all the equipment but is going nowhere! In His mercy, God allowed me to see that there was absolutely nothing I could do to make Him love me any more or less than He already did. All He wanted was for me to believe in Jesus, the One Whom He sent (see John 6:29) and receive the righteousness He provided. See Yourself Through God’s Eyes In order for us to experience true freedom and grow in our relationship with God, we need to learn to accept ourselves right where we are and see ourselves the way God sees us. As we do, we will begin to understand that becoming like Christ is a process that takes time...and that God will be faithful to finish the good work He began. Second Corinthians 5:21 (AMP) says, “For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become…the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness].” This is the basis of self-acceptance—knowing that God accepts us through Jesus and sees us as totally Read full article at www.adonaimag.tv

Shifting Blame
ears ago, I knew a couple who had a rebellious young son. He was a very difficult child and was often caught doing something wrong. Whenever it happened, this young man would immediately transfer the blame to someone else.
Y
It happened like clockwork. He would come under scrutiny, he would be threatened with discipline, and he would find someone else to blame. "My friends put a rock in my hand," he would say. "They told me to throw it at that car or they'd make fun of me!" Regardless of what anyone else does, we are personally responsible for our own actions.
You might laugh at the exaggeration of that statement—we can see right through it, of course—but that wasn't the case for this child's parents. They seemed to sympathize with him every time. "Poor Johnny, his friends made him do it." Before long, the parents were actually becoming adversarial with anyone who called "Johnny" to account. While they meant well, they were doing a great deal of damage to their son. Rather than teaching him he was personally responsible for his behavior, they were teaching him that it was all right to make someone else take the fall. From time to time, our schools and culture get focused on combating peer pressure. That's a good thing, because peer pressure can cause children to do things they wouldn't normally do. But we can't let peer pressure become an excuse. When our own kids were growing up, we told them we didn't care how much peer pressure they were under; 14
w w w. a d o n a i m a g . t v
peer pressure didn't justify misbehavior. We held them responsible for their actions. Karen and I were fair. We would gather all the facts. We'd listen to them. But we made sure our kids knew they had to learn to overcome obstacles—and that no matter how much they whined or moaned or blamed others, their behavior was their own responsibility. What we need to realize as parents is that children learn by watching the examples of their mother and father. If the father is constantly blaming the mother or the mother blaming the father, a child will pick up on this. Before long, the child will learn that blame-shifting means avoiding responsibility. It doesn't matter whether two parents are blaming each other, their bosses, the government, the president, or anyone else. Children will observe that behavior and begin to use it. Please understand, fathers and mothers and husbands and wives: Regardless of what anyone else does, we are personally responsible for our own actions. Jesus hung on the cross, looked down at the people who crucified Him, and said, "Father, forgive them." If there ever was a time when a person was justified to seek revenge or do something wrong, it was then. But Jesus did what was right. In spite of the incredible pain, emotional pressure, and persecution, He did the right thing. Through personal example and training, we must teach our families that each of us is responsible for doing what is right. No one else controls us. We control ourselves, and God holds us responsible for our own behavior. What are your children learning by watching you?

The God of the Little Problems et's pray that your business will succeed, and that you'll be able to get along with that person who makes life miserable for you. Okay? No? Why
L not?
take a quick quiz for a moment: Yes No 1. God is too busy to hear about these little things. 2. I feel guilty about asking Him, unless I'm a super saint. I'm shouldn't ask Him for things for myself, especially monetary things. If I'm going to pray, I ought to be praying for biggies like people starving in Ethiopia. You ought to take care of your problems as best you can yourself, and not bother Him with it unless you just can't handle it. 6. All of the above. If you answered "yes" to any of the answers above, do I have good news for you! Correct answers are found below: 1. A "no" answer here shows that you know the God of the infinite PBX. Our phone system at church has two lines. If both lights are lit, no one else can call in. But God is not limited like we humans to a one-or even a ten-track mind. You've surely heard about those chess masters who can play 24 games of chess simultaneously and win every one? God can carry on a humungous number of conversations at the same time, and not miss a detail. We're talking mega-capacity. 2. A "no" answer to this question demonstrates that you understand a lot about God's tremendous mercy. None of us is worthy to ask God anything. We are sinners. We've blown it. We are guilty. But God sent His Son, Jesus, to die for our sins. When we put our trust in Jesus, God forgives us completely, and invites us to come to Him with our problems, just like a caring father loves for his child to come and talk to him. A father would be hurt if his little daughter ignored talking 24
w w w. a d o n a i m a g . t v
to him. Prayer is talking to our Father. 3. A "no" answer here shows that you understand your Father cares about every aspect of your life. No, "gimmie, gimmie" prayers are as tiresome to God as they are to a parent. But when we really need something for ourselves, even a good job or enough money to pay the bills, we can and should ask our Father. But it ought to be part of a whole relationship with God. "Hey, dad, can you send me $20," is a rather incomplete relationship. Then again, maybe it's a place to start a relationship. Tell Him Pastor Ralph told you to call. 4. Sure you ought to be praying for starving people in Ethiopia. But that doesn't mean you can't pray for less dramatic needs in your own life. We can pray anytime. About lots of things. So why save it up for the biggies? Who'd want to talk to you only if you have some heavyduty crisis. He'd appreciate you talking to Him about some of the littler problems too? It's what you call down- to-earth. 5. A "no" answer is right on. I once heard about the lady who told her neighbor: "It got so bad I finally had to pray about it." "Oh, has it come to that?" was her friend's response. So why do we avoid God? Why do we put o talking to Him? Maybe we're afraid He'll cut in on our act. Who does He think He is, anyway? Try Creator, or Lord, or Savior. How about Friend? Real life, you know, is life shared with Jesus. Anything else is second best. 6. I hope you didn't answer "all of the above." But if you did, do I have good news for you. You must be awfully lonely. You have a Friend in Jesus, someone you can talk to about anything! And someone who will be your Partner in everything. It all starts with a simple prayer: "Hey. Is anybody home up there? I've got a problem I'd like to talk to you about . . ."
