THE TECHNOLOGICAL APPROACH IS INTENTIONALLY INJECTED INTO THE DESIGN TO ENHANCE THE ARCHITECTURE.THE SPACE FOR THE FISH IS DESIGN BASED ON THE RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS OF THE HABITATION AND MOVEMENT OF THE FISH. THE SHAPE OF THE FISH TUBE REFLECTS THEIR SPEED, DEPTH AND CIRCULATION PATTERN OF THE FISH. THE TECHNOLOGY IS DESIGNED BASED ON THE MOST ADVANCE SCIENTIFIC TECHNOLOGICAL PREDICTION AVAILABLE TODAY. ACCORDING TO ‘TAIWAN FISHERIES RESEARCH INSTITUES’, THE PRODUCTION OF FISH TODAY CAN BE INCREASED UP TO 30% BY ADDOPTING ADEQUATE EQUIPMENT. THE TECHNOLOGY WILL NOT ONLY BE MORE EFFICIENT IN SPACE, BUT ALSO CREATES A BETTER AND HEALTHIER ENVIRONMENT FOR THE FISH.

WORLD WILL BE HAVING FISH CONSUMPTION CRISIS IN 2020. 98.6 MILLION TONNES OF FISH NEEDED FOR THE WORLD CONSUMPTION IN THAT YEAR.THE PRICE OF FISH WILL INCREASE UP TO 16% FROM THE GLOBAL RETURN OF 60 BILLION USD IN YEAR 2009. LANGKAWI CONTRIBUTES UP TO 86% OF THE TOTAL FISH PRODUCTION FROM OFFSHORE CAGE CULTURE IN MALAYSIA WHILE MALAYSIA ONLY CONTRIBUTES 3% OF THE WORLD FISH SUPPLY. THIS FACTORS CAN BE DEVELOPED TO ENHANCE THE DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY OF THE FISH FARMING ACTIVITY IN LANGKAWI. THE DESIGN WOULD CREATE SO MANY POTENTIALS FOR FISHERIES INDUSTRY, EMPLOYMENT IN THE AREA, AND LOCAL PEOPLE.

IT IS USED FOR ELECTRIC POWER GENERARTION FOR THE DESIGN. SINCE THE MAIN POWER GENERATOR IS THE WATER, IT IS A RENEWABLE AND CLEAN ENERGY SUPPLY. THE WATER TURBINE IS LOCATED IN THE TUBING STRUCTURE AS IT WILL CREATE FORM CONTINUITY FOR THE FLOATING SYSTEM. IT IS FULLY SUBMERGED UNDER THE WATER TO HARVEST THE WAVE CURRENT SPEED TO SPIN THE TURBINE AND CONVERT IT INTO KINETIC ENERGY AND ELECTRICAL ENERGY. THE TURBINE WILL NOT GIVE OR AFFECT THE WATER ON SITE , THIS SYSTEM REDUCES THE PERCENTAGE OF INTERVENTION ON SITE AS IT IS HARVESTING THE SITE FORCE WITHOUT GIVING ANY NEGATIVE IMPACT.

THIS PROJECT WILL BE FOCUSING ON THIS SPECIFIC SPECIES .THE DESIGN ALLOWS GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT AS IT WOULD INCLUDE OTHER TYPES OF SPECIES IN THE FUTURE.

THE DESIGN IS AN ON-GOING DEVELOPMENT PROCESS AS IT DEVELOPE BASED ON THE DEMAND FROM THE FISH FARMERS. AS IT GROWS,THE PRODUCTION WILL INCREASE TO REALIZE THE AIM OF BECOMING ONE OF THE BIGGEST FISH CONTRIBUTOR IN THE WORLD. THE KILIM KARST GEOFOREST PARK IN THE EASTERN PART OF THE MAIN LANGKAWI ISLAND FEATURES MAGNIFICENTLY FORMED LANDSCAPE OF NEARLY VERTICAL TO SUBROUNDED LIMESTONE HILLS WITH PINNACLES OF VARIOUS SHAPES AND SIZES, CAN BE VIEWED ON LIMESTONE SETUL FORMATION.THE AUTHORITIRIZATION OF THE SITE IS HELD UNDER LADA WHICH SET UP IN 1990 UNDER THE LANGKAWI DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY ACT 1990, TASKED TO STIMULATE AND DEVELOP INFRASTRUCTURES, TOURISM, INDUSTRIES, TRADING AND RESIDENTIAL AREAS.THE FISH FARM AREA BECOMES A PIT STOP TO THE MANGROVE TOUR IN WHICH THE FISH FARM NURSES SPECIES OF AQUALIVES IN THE AREA. THE FISH FARM ALSO BRANCHES OUT TO HAVE A RESTAURANT NAMED HOLE IN THE WALL WHICH WAS OPENED IN 2007.THE FRAGILITY OF THE SITE IS MEASURED FROM THE EFFECTS OF INTERACTIONS OF THE MAN-MADE FEATURES TO EXISTING SITE. THE FISH FARM AREA HAS THE LOWEST PERCENTAGE OF INTERVENTION OS SITE SINCE THE MATERIALS USED FOR THE FARM CONSTRUCTION IS ENVIRONMENTAL FRINEDLY AND THE FLOATING SYSTEM REDUCE THE INTERVENTION ON SITE.. IT IS ALSO PROTECTED FROM STRONG WIND WHICH FLOWS FROM NORTH - EAST DIRECTION. FISH FARM ALSO IS THE MOST INTERESTING PITSTOP IN THE TOUR AND IT HAS A VERY HIGH POTENTIAL TO BE DEVELOPED.
