Dear Applicant Welcome to this amazing journey you are starting now. AIESEC in Ecuador as entity thank you the braveness and leadership you are showing deciding to apply for Local Committee President of your LC. Is not going to be easy, but for sure is going to be one of the best experiences of your life and is going to mark you as a person and as a leader. This process want to take out the best of you as a potential LCVP and showcase the skills and abilities you have to lead and represent your LC in the best way but most important to be a role model for the Ecuadorian youth in terms of action and ambition.
Please enjoy this process as much as you can and make sure of learn in every single step something not for your potential future role, but for your life and the leadership journey you are living no matter the role you perform. This team of LCPs will lead the last step of the 2015 vision, that’s why, is important you take part of this and contribute even more with the development of our organization and our members, it’s now your chance to build a new beginning and show to the network what we as a leaders and AIESEC in Ecuador as entity can do, what Ecuadorian GEN2015 is capable of. EB Member Profile While the members of AIESEC in Ecuador’s EBs come from diverse backgrounds and environments, several general characteristics, skills and knowledge are expected of everyone.
Intellectual and psychological Many aspects of one’s personality can effect being part of a leadership team in AIESEC in Ecuador. Some of them are obvious: constant learning, systematic thinking, creativity, adaptability to change, sense of responsibility, capacity of analysis, patience, listening, and supportiveness but also you have to keep in mind that the most important thing is to understand why as a leader of this amazing organization in AIESEC in Ecuador you are doing what you are doing. Great leaders inspire action and lead consciously.
Society knowledge A broad knowledge of world and organizational systems, current trends and issues facing society and cultural issues are important to lead a Local Committee. Practical understanding of new management theories (e.g. learning organization, self-organizing systems) is also important in managing the diverse environments in which AIESEC operates. In addition, each position requires skills and knowledge in the areas of financial management and budgeting, project management, human resources management, and good understanding of English.
AIESEC understanding A broad understanding of the association is required in order to execute an LCEB position properly. An understanding of our vision, values, identity, current direction, country development, and systems is certainly something we will look for in all candidates.
Other Overall, there is no perfect candidate profile; however, good candidates will possess strong competencies in the areas of social behavior, motivation, task orientation, and people management skills. The key component is balance within the individuals and within the team of individuals!
Application Package The application is divided in 5 parts:
1.- Motivation Letter: (1 page max.) 2.- General and specific Questionnaire: All the questions had to be answered for all the applicants. Please fill it in English. (Maximum 12 pages.) 3.- Endorsement letters: Please attach at least 3 endorsement letters from people you have worked with. - Your former or current TLP - Your former or current Teammate -Your former or current coordinators or TMP’s 4.- Team Roles Test : attach the link of results in the executive summary test link: http://www.123test.com/team-roles-test/ We expect 1 ZIP file only. Late applications won`t be received, no exceptions. Late applications will be rejected not matter what, so please, make sure send your package on time. Murphy’s law is always there. Nomination For any LC VP candidate the nomination results will come from an evaluation of the following points by the elections subcommittee: • • • •
Applicant profile (competencies level, soft skills level, past experiences). Organizational knowledge. External environment awareness. National direction understanding.
The elections subcommittee will be composed by: 1. External (Alumnus or BoA member preferred) 2. The current LCP. 3. The MCVP of the area are you applying 4.- The LCVP of the area you applying
About some procedures during the LCVP Elections process: Regarding the communication with the LCs: the LC elections subcommittee will promote the forums and the virtual spaces (with the candidates that get nominated) to assure that all the applicants can have meetings to answer the questions and doubts from the LCs, if you want to have extra meetings with all the LCs please contact before the LC elections subcommittee. Regarding the usage of Social Media: candidates are NOT allowed to promote their applications neither video links through social media. In case it happens, candidates will be automatically out of the process. The MC will be monitoring the transparency.

Specific Questionnaire LCVP ICX: (Please, answer at the following 6 specific questions) 1.- Please create a SWOT and a Strategic Analysis (Strategies per quadrant) of IGCDP in your city. 2.- Which products of IGCDP you think you have better chance in the market if the town? Formulate at least 2 strategies of each one to propel. 3.- Currently what are the main bottlenecks for the growth of the local committee in IGCDP? What would you do to improve it? 4.- Describe the monthly work (from January to July) the summer pike of a team in charge of Impacta Hoy with 40 Realizations and the new Area Structure per projects. The main activities of that months and also how they are going to guarantee those activities (for example, if you are in the month of Matching forms, what should be the weekly minimums to guarantee that you are going to match those forms, etc). 5.- As LCVP iCX 2015 of your local committee. What would be your goal in RE for your term divided in the pikes (Summer and Winter)? and based on this. How would your delivery structure for this goal? 6.- Taking into account the reality of the area, what should be the next steps in iGCDP and how are you going to guarantee the financial sustainability of the area? Please, do not forget to mention how the Local Committee can approach and make attractive to different kind of partners to support iGCDP projects and strategies for housing. LCVP MKT & COMM: (Please, answer at the following 6 specific questions) 1.- Evaluating the peaks and the work that must be done with the operational areas, which do you think are the priorities for the MKT & COMM area in your committee?

Specify the participation of the area in each part of each Customer Flow. 5.- Generate a brief of an Outgoing Exchange promotional campaing: Content of the brief: - Project description. - Challenge: Problem to resolve through the campaing - Objetive: What you plan to achieve through the promotional campaing - Brand objective: Positioning, knowledge or differentiation. - Communication objetive: The message we want to transmit about the program we are promoting. - Target: Who should focus our promotional campaign. - What we want to tell our customers: key messages. - Brand nature: Brand characteristics, how is defined and positioned our brand itself and comparing to the competency. - Don'ts: What should not be in the campaing. - Benefits: Benefits of the program - Mandatory stuff (What can't be changed- Have in account National MKT&COMM politics) : corporate image, colors, brand, slogan. - Campaing timeline. - Budget: Which will be the investment in the campaing. - Deliverables: Material that should be needed for the promotion.
Specific Questionnaire LCVP OGX: (Please, answer at the following 6 specific questions) 1. Make a SWOT analysis of ogx in YOUR LC.
2. Explain in detail what will be your goal of RA-MA-re for 2015, and include the 3 main strategies to achieve it. 3. Make a market analysis available for OGX program for college, career, semester and product. How to capitalize each university?.
4. Identify the main bottlenecks that would be present in each phase of the new customer flow according to GIS and propose clear and different strategies to solve them.
Specific Questionnaire 5. Which role plays every area of the back office in the fulfillment of your activities as LCVP OGCDP 2015 and which strategies you propose to have a better synergy?
6. Suppose you have a 350 OGCDP inscriptions list. propose at least 3 powerful solutions in order to get in contact with all the potential eps and increase the effectivity rate from inscriptions to raises. create a plan for the selection process of these applicants. LCVP TM: (Please, answer at the following 6 specific questions) 1.- How will you make sure TM has a strategic contribution to the results and minimum standards of your LC? 2.- What are the main synergies you have with each exchange area and how would your work with them in your term in order to contribute to iGCDP, and oGCDP growth? 3.- Member retention is a key factor to the success and growth of an LC. What activities will you focus on in order to increase member retention? How will you track this? 4.- How will you improve the support from TM in the OGX & ICX new Customer Flow? Specify the participation of the area in each part of each Customer Flow
5. What will be your year’s contribution to the education and knowledge management of your LC? What will your contribution be to AIESEC in Ecuador? 6. Make a plan for implementation LEAD for TMP’s and TRAINEES
Specific Questionnaire LCVP F,M & L: (Please, answer at the following 6 specific questions) 1. Make a SWOT of the current state of the financial processes in your entity. With that analysis in mind please state 3 priorities to implement during the term in 2015. 2. Please show a budget (each month) showing your entity’s: For example: - TMP/TLP recruitment -Peak of oGCD, iGCDP. 3. Considering the change of the new customer flow and how it affects the cash flow in your entity, how you plan to ensure the sustainability of your entity for 2015?
4. Make a risk plan for iGCDP Project will be launching (CONECTANDO LATINOAMERICA) this winter. 5. Make a timeline of the activities that should be considered is necessary for work in synergy with the operations areas, taking into account the peak of each program. 6. What should be the ideal role of an LCVP Finance to its Local Committee?
